Dolfan in NYC Posted February 27, 2025 Posted February 27, 2025 The comments on the Jets' Ownership (score of F) made me think Woody Johnson is secretly related to Rachel Phelps. Basically, not only did they not care about the team, but if you complain about anything, they will make things ACTIVELY worse. Speaking of Major League though, the intriguing grade was the Bills getting an F- for travel. Which makes me think they make Josh and the boys take this to every game: 1 2

I mean in what school can getting two F (New England) getting you a passing grade. The Steelers got at least 2 D's of them. And kind of funny that you can be 30th in the league and be a C+. Seriously, if you are an NFL team, the absolute least you can do is be a C+ to your employees. There is no reason for any team to be less than an A+ unless they're being intentionally shitty to their staff. There is no such thing as an NFL team that is failing financially and the players' salaries are capped, they can afford to update the locker room and get good catering. 2
RIPPA Posted February 27, 2025 Author Posted February 27, 2025 Per Pat McAfee on today's show Travis Kelce will return for another season This via a text from Kelce (though it was never said outright it was from Kelce) that was read on air Schefter retweeted it so I am guessing ESPN is going with it

Cobra Commander Posted February 28, 2025 Posted February 28, 2025 Giants considering signing Aaron Rodgers for some reason
RIPPA Posted February 28, 2025 Author Posted February 28, 2025 35 minutes ago, Cobra Commander said: Giants considering signing Aaron Rodgers for some reason Well let's back up for a second After using the Raiders and Giants to up his value, the Rams and Matthew Stafford agreed to a reworked deal so Stafford is staying with the Rams Immediately after that - Dianna Russini tweeted that the Giants were pivoting to Aaron Rodgers. This was a day after she said Rodgers reached out to the Giants to be all HEY! I AM INTERESTED IN PLAYING FOR YOU!!! so she is clearly getting her stuff from the Rodgers camp Now why? well A) the Giants have made it pretty clear that they plan on drafting a QB at some point this year and pairing them with a veteran QB. Could be Rodgers. Could be Russell Wilson. Could be Sam Donald. Could be someone else B) As I said at the end of the season - the GM and HC only care about keeping their jobs so they are going to ruin the future for maybe 7 wins
Kevin Wilson Posted February 28, 2025 Posted February 28, 2025 Also just the annual friendly reminder that from now until the draft there will be so much misinformation floating around, either from agents trying to angle for something, GMs trying to angle for something, or from NFL 'insiders' making a prediction that other sites report as a factual report. Trust no one.
RIPPA Posted February 28, 2025 Author Posted February 28, 2025 This could technically go in the college thread too - The offseason Hard Knocks will feature... Bill Belichick and UNC Basically every single team refused to do it (unlike the preseason one - the NFL can't force teams to do the offseason one) because of how bad it made the Giants look last year (specifically the Saquon stuff)
BloodyChamp Posted March 1, 2025 Posted March 1, 2025 Who saw what Scheft Tweeted about Lane Kiffin basically being what got Gruden back in the Bucs ring of honor? I didn’t know about the pictures Gruden sent until the last time we talked about him, and thought all he did was say stuff. So he’s pretty rotten for that but Lane Kiffin has just always made me puke.
Tabe Posted March 2, 2025 Posted March 2, 2025 Boy, really stretching the definition of "standout" there, Adam...

In my PPR league he was an ace WR2 that helped me win the championship. I am so bummed Stafford re-signed with The Rams. I let myself believe it was a done deal he was going to be a Giant and I think he's one of the few QB needle movers that could have instantly dragged them a year or two ahead of the rebuild timeline. I do NOT want Aaron Rodgers on The Giants. Even if he reverted back to prime Rodgers he's still a weirdo tool that tears teams apart with his distractions and drama. Justin Fields is my hope now along with taking Sanders or Dart at no 3. I dont care if it's a reach. Just get it right.

RIPPA Posted March 4, 2025 Author Posted March 4, 2025 It appears the Vikings will not be placing the franchise tag on Sam Darnold
RIPPA Posted March 4, 2025 Author Posted March 4, 2025 The Jets will be releasing Davante Adams If you believe reports - a condition for signing Aaron Rodgers is also bringing in Davante Adams Though other reports say - Adams prefers to go back to the West Coast

The deal has fallen apart and UNC will no longer be a part of this project.

RIPPA Posted March 5, 2025 Author Posted March 5, 2025 Rams trade Jonah Jackson to the Bears The Bears are giving up a 6th rounder in this year's draft Similar to the Deebo trade - the Bears are taking on the entire remainder of Jackson's contract hence why they didn't have to give up as much
