Use the #2 pick and whatever other picks they can get to start over 100% from scratch. They need to do the equivalent to an exorcism and hopefully they can cleanse the energy and get rid of the demons. 1

Kevin Wilson Posted February 3, 2025 Posted February 3, 2025 6 hours ago, RIPPA said: Myles Garrett has publicly requested to be traded from the Browns He specifically says he wants to compete and play in a Super Bowl Always interesting to me when players say that, as past signings of players that say they want a super bowl contender then sometimes to go a good but not great team. Does he mean a team that even without him is SB ready (in his eyes)? Because that would be like five teams. Now if he means a team that is on the cusp and + him he'd consider a SB team, that obviously widens the field a bit. (five was just a number off the top of my head but I think going into the 2025 season you'd have to call the four teams that were just in the conference championship game as "Super Bowl ready" and I'd toss in the Ravens. And I guess the Lions. So maybe six. Although maybe I'd take out the Commanders since they have to prove next year they are legit. Back to five.)
RIPPA Posted February 4, 2025 Author Posted February 4, 2025 It’s more a statement that he thinks the Browns are gonna suck for awhile
RIPPA Posted February 4, 2025 Author Posted February 4, 2025 The Rams have informed Cooper Kupp that they are planning on trading him
RIPPA Posted February 4, 2025 Author Posted February 4, 2025 So…. Jameis Winston wants to be a Giant I never wanted something to happen more in my life

Dolfan in NYC Posted February 6, 2025 Posted February 6, 2025 Rick Spielman is joining the Jets front office as "Senior Football Advisor". He apparently helped them land Aaron Glenn. EDIT! This is apparently going to be awkward, because according to the Vikings' official site... he's still their GM! https://www.vikings.com/team/front-office-roster/rick-spielman

Kevin Wilson Posted February 7, 2025 Posted February 7, 2025 I'm watching the NFL Awards show and Snoop is the host and they are NOT laughing at 90% of his jokes. He's doing a nervous laugh after his jokes when no one else laughs, I'd feel bad but he's probably making $200K. 1
Cobra Commander Posted February 7, 2025 Posted February 7, 2025 and your new HOFers are Jared Allen, Sterling Sharpe, Eric Allen, and Antonio Gates 1
Kevin Wilson Posted February 7, 2025 Posted February 7, 2025 Glad Eli didn't get in his first year, he'll get in eventually due to passing volume and the SBs but the honor of "first year inductee" should require a little more than "I beat Brady twice in exciting fashion." Which I am stoked he did, trust me, but having a career 84 QB rating during a time QBs were going off isn't great. 1
Dolfan in NYC Posted February 7, 2025 Posted February 7, 2025 Josh Allen is YOUR 2025 most valuable player. Josh got 27 first place notes, Lamar got 23.

I clapped & cheered for 30 seconds straight my roommates in had to pause the TV until I was finished. I would have put him in a long ass time ago. I'm one of the few who thinks that a player's peak should count more than their longevity. He's was as good as any wide receiver ever. We have now entered the era where Antonio Brown will probably be the best wide receiver not in the hall of fame until the end of time. 1
Hail Sabin Posted February 8, 2025 Posted February 8, 2025 Growing up I asked for a Sterling Sharpe Jersey for Christmas for at least 5 years straight I finally got one 15 years ago. He's hands down my favorite WR ever & one of biggest reasons I'm a Packers fan to this day. 2
Dolfan in NYC Posted February 8, 2025 Posted February 8, 2025 Kevin O'Connell says Sam Darnold has "earned the right to explore what it means to be a Pro Bowl Quarterback". So, basically "Enjoy being a Giant, Sam." 1
NoFistsJustFlips Posted February 8, 2025 Posted February 8, 2025 Eli not making the HOF is a bummer. I understand the specialness of getting in your first year of eligibility and how he doesn't really fit in that tippy top elite category. But it still bums me out. He deserves to be in tho. And I hope it comes next year. There's literally only 6 players ever that have been Super Bowl MVP more than once. And he's one of them. (Maholmes, Montana, Brady, Eli, Terry Bradshaw, Bart Star). That alone should be enough. But he also had a ton of passing yards. The iron man award for starts for the longest time. Beating the unbeatable Patriots in their undefeated year. And doing it all with bad OL play and a rotation of middle of the road receivers. You have to factor in the totality of his high end output even if the numbers alone don't scream best of the best.
Kuetsar Posted February 8, 2025 Posted February 8, 2025 If you aren't the best if the best, you don't belong. I have no strong opinions on Mannings, but Jim plunkett isn't in either 2 1
