NoFistsJustFlips Posted January 24 Posted January 24 73 years old and he gets a 3 year deal with an option on year 4. He's a healthy man but that is such an advanced age. He'll be almost 80 if he finishes out the deal. It's a bold choice by The Raiders.

BloodyChamp Posted January 24 Posted January 24 Wow I didn’t think I’d ever see this. Young Pete was mean enough to be a Raider even though he was a nice person, if that makes any sense. He hasn’t been hungry since he won the SB IMO. That was really his only problem. He was always a good coach.

At least for that division it is not a young man's game Also, imagine being the Chargers. You have a coach that has never had a losing record in now five NFL seasons, has been to a Superbowl, and won a college national title, and he's probably the least accomplished coach in your own division. A combined nine Superbowl appearances, five wins, plus three national titles in the division.

Brian Fowler Posted January 25 Posted January 25 So it appears part of the reason Coen kinda ghosted Tampa Bay and did his second interview in Jacksonville in secret was because they had Las Vegas DC Patrick Graham also coming in for an interview Thursday, and they didn't want him to cancel the interview if word for out Coen was back in play/doing another interview. Because then they wouldn't have interviewed two minority candidates in person, and would be in violation of the Rooney Rule. You may recognize this basic scenario as being one of the main arguments of the currently ongoing Brian Flores racial discrimination lawsuit, where the Giants interviewed him for a job they allegedly had already decided to give to Brian Daboll, solely to be in technical compliance with the rule.
Cobra Commander Posted January 25 Posted January 25 (edited) and as expected, the next Cowboys Head Coach is Brian Schottenheimer Edited January 25 by Cobra Commander
Kevin Wilson Posted January 25 Posted January 25 So are the Saints the only team left without a coach? The process continues to be not exactly fair for coordinators on the best teams but the only solution would be to not allow hiring until after the SB and owners would never go for that. So it just is what it is. I mean the Bills may have a vacancy if Bills fans get what they want and McDermott is fired if they lose to KC. Bring on McCarthy!

hammerva Posted January 25 Posted January 25 (edited) Nice to see that Jerry Jones taking part of the good old strategy of "if you are going to delivery shitty news do it on a Friday afternoon or night when nobody pays attention". Hell the sun was at least up when Vince would fire about 20 people on a Friday Eberflus as DC is the one that should make you cry in your beer. I mean the Bears defense was never going to make you feel good about yourself. Edited January 25 by hammerva
Log Posted January 25 Posted January 25 Ok, I’m rooting for Washington to win it all this year for sure. 3
hammerva Posted January 25 Posted January 25 I just hope they keep that bitterness with him. It would be awful if someone felt sorry for him and threw him a bone like some Steve Bartman shit
Cobra Commander Posted January 25 Posted January 25 Mike Kafka got an interview for the Saints job.. which might be a Rooney Rule thing (Kafka is Puerto Rican)
Cobra Commander Posted January 26 Posted January 26 expected AND could... someone's putting his thesaurus to good use today
