Everything got split up in a lawsuit and it's all very stupid. To sum up, and this is just how I read it in 2 minutes, it's an incredible feat of assholes who can't just work together and make some fucking money: Victor Miller is the writer of the original film and now owns the rights to Jason Vorhees the character, but not Jason in the hockey mask Producer Sean Cunningham owns the rights to hockey-masked Jason (because that Jason was not in part 1) but needs Miller's approval to use the character It became an issue as Miller asserted that he owned the rights because he wrote the script as an independent contractor, while Cunningham claimed Miller was an employee and the production company owns the rights. I guess a court decided the best answer was to cut the baby in half. No word on whether they used a machete, by the way. Edited July 30 by Technico Support 1 1

HumanChessgame Posted August 27 Posted August 27 Luc Besson made what almost looks like a French remake of Bram Stoker's Dracula - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mDfdNTf4FA0
Technico Support Posted August 27 Posted August 27 (edited) We were discussing the Friday the 13th series a while back...I just recently watched all of them and I'm pleasantly surprised by the 2009 reminaging/reboot/remake/whatever. My HAWT TAEK is that it is easily better then most of the films in the original series. Rambo survivalist Jason makes a ton of sense and fucking rules. Edited August 27 by Technico Support
Curt McGirt Posted August 27 Posted August 27 Eh, Bram Stoker's Dracula is the French version of Bram Stoker's Dracula. That looks more like Ridley Scott's Dracula.
Curt McGirt Posted August 27 Posted August 27 This was my friend Jessie's response to this (she works on August Underground-type extreme horror flicks and it was still her reaction): Quote Ed Gein: The new American sex symbol. Jfc Netflix. Spoiler
Technico Support Posted August 27 Posted August 27 (edited) Fuck's sake. I guess after Dahmer and Menendez's, Netflix realized they can go for all the low hanging fruit with good looking killers for the weird female gooner audience. How long until we get Chalamet as hot John Wayne Gacy? Edited August 27 by Technico Support 2
Curt McGirt Posted August 27 Posted August 27 (edited) Eddie Gein was NOT HOT. I don't care if you like them especially rugged... or perhaps what Bill Hicks would call "ru-ral". Ed also suffered from mental disabilities besides, you know, butchering women and digging up graves and etc. Sex with him would probably constitute as abuse. Edited August 27 by Curt McGirt 1
Curt McGirt Posted August 28 Posted August 28 I did not realize that Gein there is... Charlie Hunnam?

Curt McGirt Posted August 30 Posted August 30 Good to see that the makers of Monster decided if they paid all that money for Charlie Hunnam, they didn't have to bother with the FX budget. Spoiler The Spirit Halloween version of this would AT LEAST have bloody edges, I bet.
Curt McGirt Posted August 31 Posted August 31 Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein apparently received a 15-minute ovation at the 82nd Venice Film Festival.
