I can't remember if I've caught it or not; there are so many classics I caught in past years between the Art and revival screenings that I sometimes only get reminded by Facebook memories. I mean, I got to see Texas Chainsaw 2, and I think it was in a multiplex. I got to see frickin' NEKROMANTIK.

I could barely handle Necromantik on grainy VHS back in the 90s, I don't even want to think about it on the big screen.
Curt McGirt Posted May 19 Posted May 19 (edited) It was a big-time "OH, SHIT" moment because it was a surprise entrant at the annual Halloween all-nite horror fest. We got some weird ones, like Patrick, and Psychos in Love. Nekromantik was booked I'm sure because the lady behind it was a director of extreme horror stuff like the August Underground films and whatever gross torture porn is cooking under the surface out there. She's cool as fuck but I seriously question her interest in that stuff. Edited May 19 by Curt McGirt
Curt McGirt Posted May 23 Posted May 23 Christopher Columbus says: All practical, no CGI allowed. YEAH BOY!

Curt McGirt Posted May 23 Posted May 23 You don't recognize the claw? Or the font? Spoiler Gremlins remake That's Chris Columbus btw, not Christopher Columbus 1
Curt McGirt Posted May 26 Posted May 26 God, no. They cannot possibly go the route of part 2 being a parody of modern culture now, can they? How do you satirize this hellscape? Totally down for a dark-ass Ghoulies with practical effects that leans into the corny fake Satanism and has a bunch of cool kills. 1
Dolfan in NYC Posted June 5 Author Posted June 5 Blumhouse has acquired the rights to the Saw IP. So that puts the franchise back under James Wan's control. Hit the music... ...never fear we got stories for years... like, Jigsaw becomes a robot! ...never fear we've got stories for years!

Curt McGirt Posted July 6 Posted July 6 https://www.fangoria.com/lesbian-vampires-french-zombies-jean-rollin-best-horror-movies/ Sticking this here to remind me that I really need to WATCH MORE JEAN ROLLIN. (Fascination and The Grapes of Death are two of my favorite horror films and I have no idea why I haven't seen anything else that I can recall of his.)

Curt McGirt Posted July 6 Posted July 6 (edited) Cool, if any of it's still on Netflix then there we go. I'm 99% sure I've seen The Living Dead Girl too, at my friend's house totally plastered... on Netflix. EDIT: Yeah not a shred of it on Netflix Edited July 6 by Curt McGirt
