It was kind of annoying they went back to the sleeper agent well. I get they were trying to hit some winter soldier/civil war nostalgia but I didn't love that. The wishy washy-ness of Sabra was frustrating. They just gutted her and no one wanted to see her on the screen. I should have had my wife see the Hulk movie again. Though she said she remembered that better than Eternals. Stinger was pretty weak. It's fascinating to try to unpack what the movie would have been originally with Rollins as King Cobra. Was he just going to be a goon? Or was he really in the Sidewinder role? I'm taking a swing that Rollins was either Sidewinder or Copperhead, since all the reshoots involved redoing EVERYTHING Serpent Society related once they got Giancarlo and they decided to play Serpent more realistic instead of comic accurate. But yeah, I'm not really sure the main plot works as well if Serpent is in full costume instead of being serious (and really, the only Earth-based ridiculous stuff we've gotten so far is Track Suit Mafia in Hawkeye).
JonnyLaw Posted March 10 Posted March 10 I can see Rollins as a GSP as Batroc level recurring villain, and I think that’s basically what the character came off as in BNW. I assume they have bigger plans now given who they cast, but I can easily see Rollins cackling madly while shooting at Cap’s truck.

The Natural Posted March 16 Posted March 16 https://twitter.com/thunderbnews/status/1900624892510261555 Thunderbolts* PSA.
Casey Posted March 24 Posted March 24 Grain of salt here since it's not from a trade, but Rachna Fruchbom is supposedly set to be the showrunner, writer and executive producer for Champions (fka Young Avengers). She's currently writing and producing Apple TV's Shrinking, and formerly was a writer (and co exec-producer) on And Just Like That, Fresh Off the Boat and Parks & Rec. DON'T FUCK THIS UP, MARVEL. Ms. Marvel S1 had its flaws, but it was one of the better debut series for a character that didn't massively disappoint existing fans of the character, and arguably the best part of The Marvels. Don't do my girl dirty, please, I beg of you.
odessasteps Posted March 24 Posted March 24 Guess it depends if they go with the comics YA or a hybrid of them and the comics Champions (Kamala, Amadeus Cho, Nova).
Casey Posted March 24 Posted March 24 I'm almost positive it'll be a hybrid of YA and Champions, but using the latter's branding since the former might dilute the market and they view Avengers as their big tentpole franchise (rightfully). If I had to guess - Kamala, Kate Bishop, Wiccan, Speed, Cassie Lang, America Chavez, Falcon & Ironheart. They could possibly buck the trend and put in Skaar instead of Hulkling or Amadeus Cho, but I kind of doubt it.
Casey Posted March 26 Posted March 26 (edited) No idea what's going on here, but Marvel is doing a livestream and, at first, it only showed a chair with Hemsworth's name on it. 3 minutes ago it zoomed out to reveal Vanessa Kirby's name on a chair. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iy7k3aJS0Fw EDIT: this is the reveal for the Avengers cast Edited March 26 by Casey
Raziel Posted March 26 Posted March 26 I am not sitting through 30 minutes to wait for all the chairs.
Casey Posted March 26 Posted March 26 8 minutes ago, Raziel said: I am not sitting through 30 minutes to wait for all the chairs. It's been on for 36 minutes and there's only three chairs so far. It's likely to go for hours at this point.
Raziel Posted March 26 Posted March 26 Best comment I've seen is "by the time they finish this announcement, you'll be able to stream Doomsday on Disney+" 4
Casey Posted March 26 Posted March 26 Well I definitely didn't have Wyatt Russell as US Agent on my bingo card to be in Doomsday, but I'll take it.

Casey Posted March 26 Posted March 26 Shang-Chi & Namor returning are definitely surprises, since there's been ZERO mention of them in anything since their respective films. Half of the cast of Thunderbolts is gonna be in this, so... I'm guessing Bucky, US Agent & Yelena don't die (duh). Shuri's Black Panther could probably be considered a mild surprise, but not really. I'm just playing TEW and eating lunch while this is on in the background, but I'm probably going to take a nap soon lol
The Natural Posted March 26 Posted March 26 (edited) Hope my boys, Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio are there but expect otherwise. Edited March 26 by The Natural

I know why for both but let me sulk ;). Not surprised Shang-Chi's back. Hoped Namor was a one and done. Edited March 26 by The Natural
The Natural Posted March 26 Posted March 26 By the time they finish revealing the cast we'll be celebrating the 25th anniversary of Marvel Studios.
The Natural Posted March 26 Posted March 26 3 minutes ago, Casey said: genuinely shocked - Kelsey Grammer's Beast will be in this. Now that is a surprise.
