But I was surprised Wanda was established pretty much from the start as the antagonist. I was expecting her to be working with Strange but have to deal with corruption by the Darkhold at some point. The way the movie handled things felt kind of discordant with the end of WandaVision.

Wasn’t there a post-credits scene in WandaVision where she was shown pretty much under the spell of the Darkhold?  It’s been a while since I’ve seen it, but I feel like I remember that.

My daughter, now 10, and I started binging through a lot of the MCU Infinity Saga a couple of weeks back when we both had flu.  We skipped some of the lesser consequential ones for Infinity War/Endgame/CA:Brave New World.  She’s enjoyed them all, but the Captain America ones surprised by how much she liked them and him.  “Before I watched these, I thought he was just some lame guy, but now he’s my favorite!”  

We’ve sped through WandaVision this weekend and are about to finish up the finale before going back and catching up on some of the movies we skipped.  So far, I think WV is one of her favorites.

I still think the issue is the pandemic. They paced these movies way too slowly. Thubderbolts and Young Avengers should have come out two years ago.

Agreed. Black Widow should have happened years ago before the pandemic: Phase Two or Phase Three.

That new Thunderbolts trailer is an odd one, highlighting all the other movies the creators and stars have done.  Do they think that will bring in the non MCU movie goers?

As much as we like Goggins, it doesn't sound worth it.

Movie was fine. It was fine. It was kind of annoying they went back to the sleeper agent well. I get they were trying to hit some winter soldier/civil war nostalgia but I didn't love that. The wishy washy-ness of Sabra was frustrating. They just gutted her and no one wanted to see her on the screen. I should have had my wife see the Hulk movie again. Though she said she remembered that better than Eternals. Stinger was pretty weak. It's fascinating to try to unpack what the movie would have been originally with Rollins as King Cobra. Was he just going to be a goon? Or was he really in the Sidewinder role?

Yeah. Seeing Goggins as Jack Pfefer is not worth it.
