AxB Posted February 19 Posted February 19 You haven't seen the first three EVIL DEAD movies? You should get on that ASAP. 3

Curt McGirt Posted February 20 Posted February 20 You haven't seen Darkman before?!?!?! WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU. j/k It rules though 1

I watched a movie out of order! All is lost! The movie was good, though. Hide contents But I was surprised Wanda was established pretty much from the start as the antagonist. I was expecting her to be working with Strange but have to deal with corruption by the Darkhold at some point. The way the movie handled things felt kind of discordant with the end of WandaVision. Spoiler Wasn’t there a post-credits scene in WandaVision where she was shown pretty much under the spell of the Darkhold? It’s been a while since I’ve seen it, but I feel like I remember that.

So not exactly what I'd expect, had I known Raimi was the director and thought about the implications. Ah, gotcha. I meant it from the “he’s the guy who directed the Evil Dead movies” perspective.
JonnyLaw Posted February 24 Posted February 24 My daughter, now 10, and I started binging through a lot of the MCU Infinity Saga a couple of weeks back when we both had flu. We skipped some of the lesser consequential ones for Infinity War/Endgame/CA:Brave New World. She’s enjoyed them all, but the Captain America ones surprised by how much she liked them and him. “Before I watched these, I thought he was just some lame guy, but now he’s my favorite!” We’ve sped through WandaVision this weekend and are about to finish up the finale before going back and catching up on some of the movies we skipped. So far, I think WV is one of her favorites. 3
Matt D Posted February 24 Posted February 24 I still think the issue is the pandemic. They paced these movies way too slowly. Thubderbolts and Young Avengers should have come out two years ago. 5

Casey Posted February 24 Posted February 24 I’m willing to sacrifice Young Avengers/Champions for another few seasons of Hawkeye & Ms. Marvel. 4
The Natural Posted February 25 Posted February 25 Punisher to get a Disney+ Special Presentation. Jon Bernthal will co-write the script with his We Own This City director Reinaldo Marcus Green, who is also on board to helm the Special. 1

Curt McGirt Posted February 25 Posted February 25 If you haven't seen it, We Own This City was awesome. So was the book it was based on (it's a true story).
The Natural Posted March 1 Posted March 1 (edited) Concept art for Avengers: Doomsday has leaked. Includes: Spoiler OG Doctor Doom, Doctor Doom from Secret Wars (2015), a male Black Panther, Kate Bishop with Ms. Marvel, Star Lord and The Incredible Hulk/She-Hulk/Skaar. Edited March 1 by The Natural
odessasteps Posted March 7 Posted March 7 That new Thunderbolts trailer is an odd one, highlighting all the other movies the creators and stars have done. Do they think that will bring in the non MCU movie goers?
Casey Posted March 8 Posted March 8 It’s a trailer made specifically for a website where fans rate movies. What do you expect lol
odessasteps Posted March 8 Posted March 8 That makes more sense. I thought it was a general release trailer.
Matt D Posted March 8 Posted March 8 Wife is dragging me to BNW so I'm glad to look back to Page 4 and see that most of you people actually liked it. My expectations are low, so we'll see how it goes. 1
odessasteps Posted March 8 Posted March 8 I hope you return the favor and make her see Queen of the Ring. 1

Movie was fine. It was fine. It was kind of annoying they went back to the sleeper agent well. I get they were trying to hit some winter soldier/civil war nostalgia but I didn't love that. The wishy washy-ness of Sabra was frustrating. They just gutted her and no one wanted to see her on the screen. I should have had my wife see the Hulk movie again. Though she said she remembered that better than Eternals. Stinger was pretty weak. It's fascinating to try to unpack what the movie would have been originally with Rollins as King Cobra. Was he just going to be a goon? Or was he really in the Sidewinder role?
