The Natural Posted February 4 Posted February 4 I like the costumes with one exception, Reed Richards should have the matching white collar neckline like everyone else. 1
Curt McGirt Posted February 4 Posted February 4 It's nice that they broke with convention by having a stouter-looking Richards, and a voice for Grimm that wasn't big and grizzly.
Casey Posted February 4 Posted February 4 Just a touch of gruff in Ebon’s voice as the Thing would’ve been great, IMO. I agree with this, it kind of annoys me. Also, Thing wearing a shirt and full length pants. No shirt and shorts, c’mon! 1

Raziel Posted February 4 Posted February 4 Is it weird that I was getting serious Fallout vibes from the ascetic during the trailer? It's almost as if instead of just being in the past, it's a past Alternate Universe. Maybe that's on purpose. I know a bunch of TA stuff has been that retrofuture vibe, so it might be a tangent on that. 2

The inclusion of Galactus can probably tell everyone where this movie is headed. The only question is how the F4 get to the sacred timeline. Or… back to the sacred timeline, maybe? That part is my theory, personally. I think they were in the MCU, wormhole in space or something maybe, and ended up in this retro futuristic universe. 2
Travis Sheldon Posted February 4 Posted February 4 I hope this franchise is successful because I hold out hope we get Tatiana Maslany's She-Hulk from the John Byrne era FF. 1
Dolfan in NYC Posted February 4 Author Posted February 4 I won't even comment on the number of fingers there are on that flagpole above the camera. 1 2
Eivion Posted February 4 Posted February 4 Digging the aesthetic from the trailer. Gives me similar feelings to the Superman trailer in that this is going to likely be an over the years style story opposed to just one big moment in their lives. 1

Marvel is claiming it's just shitty photoshop and not AI, but goddamn this is a tentpole release and you can't just run Alex Ross his money? 3
Dolfan in NYC Posted February 4 Author Posted February 4 Yeah, "We 4 You" doesn't smack of AI at all. I would have been better with them saying "He's only got 4 fingers because he loves the Fantastic 4 THAT much!"

July is a big month with Superman and The Fantastic Four: First Steps.
JonnyLaw Posted February 5 Posted February 5 Sometimes you forget how many MCU fans are completely unfamiliar with even the most basic stuff from comics. I was bored and skimming Reddit to see the response to the F4 trailer, and more than one person was completely baffled by Johnny‘s clothes not being completely burnt after he flamed on. I now imagine there will be a contingent of fans going “unstable molecules?!? What a cop out!”

Sing it with me: JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN DO IT DOESN'T MEAN YOU SHOULD DO IT Cue that quote about how the future is really gonna be people playing around with their "toys", and how we're stupid if we don't take them away
Craig H Posted February 5 Posted February 5 Saying it's not AI and just a bad Photoshop by the artist is horseshit. AI can't figure out hands and fingers for whatever reason. It's the biggest telltale sign AI was used for something. When AI starts creating synths to replace humans, we'll easily be able to tell who is human and who is machine when we see someone with 8 fingers or 3 fingers on one hand.
Technico Support Posted February 10 Posted February 10 Here's the new Thunderbolts* online trailer that was advertised during the Superb Owl last night. 1

The guy who becomes the Sentry/Void ("Bob") is in the first trailer that came out. I know nothing about him aside from catching up via Wikipedia after I'd heard about his involvement in the film. He came out long long after I'd stopped reading the funnybooks. Edited February 10 by Technico Support 1

I cant speak for how he’s been used lately, but originally, he was one of those “heroes that time forgot” that was a silver age hero with Superman like powers but also has a dark side. 1
