All about Daredevil: Born Again for me. By far my #1. After that, The Fantastic Four: First Steps and Thunderbolts*. Big pressure on Daredevil: Born Again and The Fantastic Four: First Steps.

DD S4+Thunderbolts, 1A and 1B, then evvvvvverything else far behind.

Winter Soldier is one of my favorite comic characters of all time and Daredevil on Netflix is one of the greatest comic to screen adapations ever.  Looking forward to both of them beyond all belief.

speaking of the Vision show (and 12 Monkeys) - Faran Tahir is reprising his role as Raza (the Ten Rings “leader” from Iron Man 1).

I can't see Captain America: Brave New World doing well critically and particularly at the box office. The number of reshoots also. I think this will lose Marvel Studios money. Admittedly I'm not into this movie either, I wish Captain America stayed a trilogy with three great films. I also wish we got Bucky Cap to Falcon Cap also. Still bums me out.

Given he's thunderbolt Ross, i presume he's a generic angry old white right wing  type, regardless of how he may have portrayed in earlier marvel movies.

Saw this on FB

Quote

Jon Bernthal on his first experience as THE PUNISHER.

"When I was announced as the new Punisher, I was very excited. So much so that I went straight to a comic book store to buy all the comics of the character I could find. While at the counter, the store employee noticed my purchase, looked at me closely, and decisively said: 'I know who you are, and you’re not taking these.'

Without warning, he started going through the comics I had chosen, separating some and selecting others. In the end, he handed me the stack he deemed appropriate, looked at me intently, and with a seriousness I’ll never forget, added: 'Don’t mess this up.'"

Thankfully Jon Bernthal didn't. One of the rare comic book casting announcements which received positive affirmation everywhere I looked, myself included.

Surprised my cinema I prefer to go to isn't showing the Captain America films before the new one comes out. I'd have gone to Captain America: The First Avenger as that's the only film from the trilogy I missed out on there as I was poorly and Captain America: The Winter Solider which is still the best MCU movie. Captain America: Civil War.is great as well.

i find my mind wandering back to Shangi-Chi considerably more often than the other Phase 4/5 Marvel movies. haven't watched it since it was in theaters. Might have to bite the bullet and buy the blu-ray. That's a slippery slope for me, since i made it a point to stop after Avengers: Endgame [with an exception for Black Widow].

@Natural, what was your take on that one?

My list is similar except I’d somehow (no idea how) move three of those off to make room for GotG 1-3, which are my favorite Marvel films.

EDIT: Taking a shot at it:

10. Dr. Strange: Multiverse of Madness

9. Black Panther

8. Iron Man

7. Avengers 1

6. Thor: Ragnorok

5. Avengers: Infinity War

4. Avengers: Endgame

3. GotG 1

2. GotG 3

1. GotG 2

”He might have been your father, boy, but he wasn’t your daddy” and Kraglin’s reaction to the Ravagers showing up after all just hit me right in the feels like a motherfucker.

I’m a sucker for Endgame’s time traveling fanservice.

Thanks for asking. Best thing about Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021) was Tony Leung as Wenwu/the Mandarin, he was great in the part. I really liked how the rings were changed to iron rings around the wrists and forearms. Good fight choreography also.  As great as Leung was, Ben Kingsley was better until that stupid fucking twist in Iron Man 3. Needless to say I wasn't happy having Trevor Slattery back here. Pissed they killed Wenwu off. Awkwafina annoyed me. The obligatory visual effects-heavy Marvel Studios third act also.

Black Widow (2021) was such a disappointment for me. Really was. Should have got Black Widow films years before this and setting it as a prequel to Avengers: Endgame. Black Widow, Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), Thor: The Dark World (2013) Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018) and Thor: Love and Thunder (2022) are my biggest disappointments.

Interesting where we agree and disagree, more the latter here as usually it's the former. I'm in the minority when it comes to Guardians of the Galaxy. I only like a few sci-fi things and I don't do cosmic MCU with the exception of Thanos.

I was never a fan of the "cosmic" side of comics, e.g. what Jack Kirby was doing in the 60s and 70s, but Disney made them interesting.

I had low expectations for Shang Chi and The Eternals, but I wound up liking both films.

The Guardians of the Galaxy took a property that I thought was junk and made a mint.

Hell, I remember in the 90s when old Marvel rebooted the GOTG and that comic was a quarter box staple until the movie was made.

Fuck it, I’ll give this a try too. My list will be hated, I’m almost sure of it. But they’re my favorites/the ones I rewatch the most. Not in order, because it’s 5am. If I had to pick a top spot… probably Infinity War or Iron Man.

Ant-Man 1

Avengers: Age of Ultron

Avengers: Infinity War

Black Widow

Iron Man

CA: Winter Soldier

Shang-Chi

  • Guardians of the Galaxy 2
  • Guardians of the Galaxy 3

I'm a fan of most MCU films, but these are the ones I enjoy the most and have the least mess in their writing/plotting. If I ignored the mess for others I probably could have listed Iron Man 2 and maybe even Quantumania. The latter I actually thought was well done. It just created a mess for the greater MCU with its choice of villain. Considered Deadpool & Wolverine, but that that felt less like a bridge to the MCU and more like a tribute to Marvel films of the past, specifically form Fox.
