Doragon Posted February 28 Author Posted February 28 The Press Conference for Ozawa vs Soya https://www.noah.co.jp/news/6731/ You have to let it translate. The match also is Lumberjack Death Match.
Doragon Posted March 2 Author Posted March 2 Tadasuke joined Team 2000 X OZAWA won the GHC National, becoming the first Double Crown Champion. He gave up the GHC National, so it's vacant. He doesn't care about the red belt. GHC HW OZAWA (c) vs Kitamiya is next.

Wouldn't it have been just as easy for Soya to challenge OZAWA with the aim of being a double champ? 1

And it's a gimmicky way for him to drop it, due to his heel bs ways in not wanting it and disrespecting it. And yet let him be the first Double Crown. They are still pushing him in their weird ways. And with this booking decision it seems unlike NJPW and AJPW, the top belts don't merge.
Doragon Posted March 4 Author Posted March 4 I'm not sure if Tanahashi will win the IWGP World, would be interesting if they hot shot it to the fighters who never won the title for a few times.

I don't think so, unless Goto has some sort of injury or is taking time off for another reason. My buddy and I both figure that he drops it at Dominion to whomever wins the NJ Cup.
RazorbladeKiss87 Posted March 5 Posted March 5 How do PPVs on World work? Do I keep access forever? I'm interested in seeing this "Crazy Fest " show on Sunday.
lostinube Posted March 5 Posted March 5 This says that you can still access any PPVs you bought within the viewing period but I have no idea how long that is. I know they eventually move some stuff that was on PPV to the regular archives that are open to members. Like the Despe show from last year is viewable to members now but the Forbidden Door shows are still only for people who purchased the show. https://help.njpwworld.com/hc/ja/articles/24882822045977-PPVとは 1
Doragon Posted March 6 Author Posted March 6 Gotoh is looking to lead NJPW and Chaos is merged into the main unit, rather than being a coalition they have been since 2018.
Doragon Posted March 7 Author Posted March 7 Goto (c) vs Nagata is next for the IWGP World HW. Then the winner faces the Cup winner.
Sublime Posted March 7 Posted March 7 Chaos should have been disbanded/merged as soon as Okada left at the latest. Really should have been done years ago they stopped feeling like a unit a long time ago 2

A complex system where the behaviour is so devoid of order as to seem random. Not sure what a good word for that would be, though. 2 2
Mr. Monday Morning Posted March 8 Posted March 8 I'm sure people will be aware by now but maybe not, yesterday was scheduled to be the first night of the New Japan Cup but before the show started one of the ring posts broke, so it turned into an extended talk show (fans all got refunds) First day of the Cup is therefore today Oh, and Chris Charlton returned from suspension on Thursday's show
Doragon Posted March 9 Author Posted March 9 Kento Miyahara and Yuma Aoyagi won the World tags, they became the 100th champions. 1
Doragon Posted March 11 Author Posted March 11 From Tokyo Sports Yuji Nagata left the IWGP Executive Committee. He criticized Naito. Last time Nagata fought for the highest championship of NJPW was 13 years and 3 months ago. So December 2011. I left some stuff out because I'm lazy. If Nagata wins the World title, then he becomes the oldest champion at age 56. Right now Gotoh is the oldest champ. Nagata is the oldest Triple Crown Champion of AJPW. Tenryu was the oldest IWGP HW Champ and M.Suzuki was the oldest IWGP IC Champion. In other newz, Shota has a new look. Bald and white pants. 1
Doragon Posted March 12 Author Posted March 12 In a mini tournament, 1 of these guys below could end up as the new GHC National Champion Takashi Sugiura Tetsuya Endo (TEAM 2000X) (DDT) Manabu Soya (Passionate RATELS) Galeno (ALL REBELLION)
Doragon Posted March 12 Author Posted March 12 Shota has a new finisher, his own Northern Lights Bomb called the Second Chapter.
Doragon Posted March 14 Author Posted March 14 From Purolove NJPW "NEW JAPAN CUP 2025", 15.03.2025 (NJPW World) Aichi Prefectural Gymnasium (Dolphins Arena) - New Japan Cup - Quarter Final: David Finlay vs. Yuya Uemura - New Japan Cup - Quarter Final: Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Taichi - New Japan Cup - Quarter Final: Shota Umino vs. Jeff Cobb - New Japan Cup - Quarter Final: Shingo Takagi vs. Drilla Moloney - IWGP World Heavyweight Title: Hirooki Goto (c) vs. Yuji Nagata
Doragon Posted March 15 Author Posted March 15 Spoiler Goto won and retained. He remains the oldest IWGP World Champion I dunno who is gonna win the cup.
Mr. Monday Morning Posted March 15 Posted March 15 Personally I thought ZSJ vs Oiwa and Taichi vs Kidd were pretty good and worth a watch. Not MOTYC candidates or anything but decent matches in their own right
Doragon Posted March 15 Author Posted March 15 I like Shota Umino. He has Chono's STF, his own take on the Northern Lights bomb, has gotten more stoic, has good lariats. His half nelsons are ok. I enjoy his babyface in peril stuff like Mutoh and Kobashi used to do. He has own Half Nelson suplexs like Kobashi. He kinda looks like Jinsei Shinzaki from far. Only weak parts is his soft elbow bunts, but then again Muto had soft elbow smashes. Whatever.

Doragon Posted March 20 Author Posted March 20 NJPW The wonky ring that wouldn't work was old WJ ring. Just 4 Guys will be working with the NJPW/main army. Alliance. It's not absorption. Tanahashi vs Shingo is next. They are tied in their single series, so 1-1. Tanahashi doing his own show. DDT M.Suzuki won the Universal belt of DDT, the important secondary belt of DDT. I would watch more DDT, but i dont have the time.
Mr. Monday Morning Posted March 21 Posted March 21 Unfortunately Masa Takanashi got injured in the DDT main and had to be taken to hospital with a possible serious neck injury - hopefully it is not as bad as it seemed and he can recover
