Doragon Posted February 11 Author Posted February 11 (edited) Inoki-Ism in the past was different style fights, and proving Pro Wrestlers are the strongest, and over other combat sports. The Dark Ages NJPW version was a wonky mutation of the ideology. Edited February 11 by DragonZombie 1
Doragon Posted February 13 Author Posted February 13 Former NJPW fighter Kenta re-signed with NOAH. Another orginal to the fold and somebody who was in AJPW before the split from ecades ago. Fills up the space of vet that Ogawa left behind. Ozawa vs Soya is double crown match.

Thought he was solid and neat seeing a high flying guy with so much height. Xyon is also married to Harley Cameron though I doubt Fukuda has the stroke to bring her in for the Carny tour... Harley mentioned in an interview last month that they are no longer together. 1

Doragon Posted February 14 Author Posted February 14 Kenoh left All Rebellion Soya joined Ratels. https://www.noah.co.jp/profile/ I don't know yet if the GHC HW and the GHC National will be unified into something new. For now it is just a Double Crown match for Memorial Voyage in Yokahama. There have been attempts in the past to have someone win both. Dragon Gate currently has Yamato holding both the Open The Dream Gate and Open The Brave Gate Championships. Saya Kamitani has both the World Of Stardom and the Regina Di WAVE. Cody Rhodes Undisputed WWE Championship is still two belts into one in a different way. 2
Doragon Posted February 14 Author Posted February 14 Modern AJP has evolved to have more charismatic players instead of just stoic players. Lot more comedy in the promotion too. 1
Doragon Posted February 15 Author Posted February 15 Ozawa belittled the GHC National. Wonder if he will get rid of it if he wins. So it would be back to the GHC HW, tags, Jr, jr tags setup, with the rebooted GHC Hardcore Champion. Plus the GHC Women title. The Ozawa vs Soya double crown match could still end up in draw game and nothing happens. 1
dorfus malorfus Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Dan Tamura not being in the Carny this year is a gross oversight on AJPW's part. He could easily have taken one of the foreigners' spots. Him and Suzuki are tearing it up on this current tour, I would love to see them in the finals of the Oudou tournament this fall if they keep progressing Dan between now and then. 1
Doragon Posted February 17 Author Posted February 17 CyberFight Pro Wrestling All-Star Thanksgiving" in Lazona Kawasaki Plaza Details https://www.noah.co.jp/news/6695/ 3 of their promotions.
Doragon Posted February 17 Author Posted February 17 I wouldn't be surprised if Cyberfight sells off DDT In the future, and DDT can be a real indy again and it would help with offloading expenses for CyberFight. They obviously prefer NOAH.
Curt McGirt Posted February 17 Posted February 17 Someone named Cyrus being in the CC gave me a chuckle.

Doragon Posted February 18 Author Posted February 18 T.Nomura in AJP again. He needs to wrestle more for AJP so they can sign him next year. Have some golden graham belts https://newsatcl-pctr.c.yimg.jp/t/amd-img/20250218-00334476-tospoweb-000-1-view.jpg
Doragon Posted February 18 Author Posted February 18 If AJP ever changes the world tags, they would be one set and maybe colored coded to another color. I'm not sure if they will ever change those belts, because they sorta match the now worn out "new" Triple Crown belt and unlike the other titles given back to the Baba's they own the world tag designs and belts. I don't think AJPW has the budget to replace them anyways, they're very fiscally conservative and became more so over time.
Doragon Posted February 19 Author Posted February 19 There's a new G Rush belt for Gleat. Nakajima is going with "i am the lion" and has a new t shirt with his own Lion Mark.

Kevin Wilson Posted February 25 Posted February 25 I'm going to pretend like Jushin Thunder Liger didn't come out of retirement for a random match in Qatar. That's non-canon, like the Saudi shows used to be for WWE.

He's a monster who works like a monster. Very reminiscent of my old friend John Tenta, in my opinion. Also seems to be a genuinely good dude. I told him he reminded me of John in the ring, and he seemed genuinely pleased and humbled to hear that. My "insider" friends in Tokyo like him, too. Edited February 26 by Gordi the BJW fan 3
Doragon Posted February 26 Author Posted February 26 I wouldn't mind one more Muto match but as Kokushi Muso.
RazorbladeKiss87 Posted February 27 Posted February 27 I hope everyone has the same energy about people working shows in Qatar WITH MARTY! that they do any other time shows with canceled workers are mentioned. Wild seeing who was there.
