Doragon Posted January 10 Author Posted January 10 (edited) The KOPW belt was officially sealed away and retired. What NJPW belt is next to go away in the future is unknown for now. Maybe the NEVER title, or maybe the Strong Tags. https://news.njpw1972.com/iwgp-committee-formally-retires-kopw-title-fe30b625d6ad Edited January 10 by DragonZombie

I could see the NEVER strap getting 86'd and making the six man ones into IWGP titles. 1
dorfus malorfus Posted January 10 Posted January 10 So after getting caught up I can say that both the 1/2 and 1/3 AJPW shows are fantastic. Anybody know if Anzai got legit KO'd by the powerbomb in the match with Ashino? Time kind of stands still while Ashino and Wada prop him up and then they take it home pretty quick. Incredible match regardless, with Anzai hardway bleeding all over the place.
Doragon Posted January 11 Author Posted January 11 Hijo de Doctor Wagner Jr is graduating from NOAH, his last match in NOAH is in link below https://www.noah.co.jp/news/6580/
Control Posted January 11 Posted January 11 Hot damn, Naoya Nomura is returning to the ring after almost two years of inaction. 1
Doragon Posted January 11 Author Posted January 11 NOAH drew 1,535 Fans in Korakuen Hall, their highest in 5 years. Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. is done with NOAH. WWE Superstar Omos in a tag match used the Last Ride as a finisher. Tetsuya Endo of DDT beat Soya and won the GHC National title. Endo joined Team 2000 X. GHC HW champion OZAWA nominated Galeno del Mal as the next challenger for the GHC HW.

He wore Misawa inspired gear to the ring https://x.com/hijodewagner/status/1878019754134499426 "Go Shiozaki (42) of Pro Wrestling Noah fought his last match before going on a hiatus. In the third match, he teamed up with Kazuyuki Fujita, Atsushi Kotoge, and Hajime Ohara in an eight-man tag match against Naomichi Marufuji, Takashi Sugiura, Masa Kitamiya, and Daiki Odajima. Shiozaki hit Odajima with a reverse chop and a fisherman buster, and finally got the three-count with a powerful lariat. Backstage, he stated that he would be absent for a while to undergo maintenance on his entire body, including surgery on both knees. Shiozaki explained, "When will I return? I don't know, because I'll have to see what happens after the surgery. I want to fix not just my knees, but all the other parts of my body that are bad. It may sound bad, but I'm making good use of my absence. I'll heal properly, I promise you that." https://news.yahoo.co.jp/articles/5c29e0fa3adff2fef041cfda3191800561b72367

If he's in any kind of working shape then that's real exciting news. The AJPW roster is ridiculously stacked right now. Fools and their money don't know what they're missing. 1

It was a real sellout with no tickets for sale at the box office 45 minutes before the show. One row of standing room sold for the back of the south side and parts of the balcony. I'd never seen Omos before. He is big and very very tall. 3

I guess Triple H wants Omos to have more experience and get better. He wasn't released, unlike Bobby and Corbin and Jinder.
Doragon Posted January 12 Author Posted January 12 AJPW has Yuma Anzai, Yuma Aoyagi and Jun Saito as their current core native main event championship guys. I'm going by who gets to be Triple Crown and not just challenge for it. Suwama is fading out. Kento will eventually fully lose his ace status to Anzai at some point in the future. Ashino seems to be too small to be with the new top 3 above. Smaller guys like Nakajima in the past are the exception, not the rule. It will take a longer while maybe for Ren Ayabe to reach the top.
Cliff Hanger Posted January 12 Posted January 12 Does Battle in the Valley talk go here or somewhere else? Because I am going to remember that ElP/Cobb finish, both for the greatness of Cobb giving Zane Jay the Little Wooden Boy treatment to secure the DCOR non-loss and for how angry the crowd was. 1
RazorbladeKiss87 Posted January 13 Posted January 13 (edited) Apparently BJW is doing an English broadcast of one show a month on their Youtube channel? Does the Core service have the English commentary? Edited January 13 by RazorbladeKiss87
Doragon Posted January 14 Author Posted January 14 Ozawa is alright but he isn't someone that can be the ace of NOAH. Mainly because the heel stuff. I would like to see him vs AJPW's Kento. They're both quite energetic. ,

You can see the potential, but he's just too young and inexperienced right now to be thrust into that role like he was. Hopefully he grows into it, the way that Tanahashi did from 2006-08.

I haven't seen that one yet, but it's on my radar. The only thing I've seen from that show at the moment is Sabre vs. Hechicero, which ruled the earth. Between that, and his match in Arena Mexico with Blue Panther, Hechicero is starting off this year with a bang. 2
Doragon Posted January 14 Author Posted January 14 I just think they will keep Kaito as ace and push him multiple time instead. Don't need another discarded fiaoed ace again. I expect NJPW to keep pushing Shota too. Anyways the Giant Baba 25th Anniversary Memorial Event tickets are all sold out The current All Japan wrestlers will not participate. Some past AJPW talent will appear instead, who work in NJPW, NOAH, DDT etc these days.
Doragon Posted January 14 Author Posted January 14 Go-etty lost to Mohammed Yone in the No Limit main event, via Cross Kneelock. Lol.
Doragon Posted January 16 Author Posted January 16 Aja Kong is wrestling in AJPW. Yuji Nagata was supposed to depart NJPW, but he is staying on. NOAH player Junta Miyawaki became an apprentice to judo practitioner Keiji Suzuki.
Doragon Posted January 26 Author Posted January 26 Saito retained the Triple Crown against the future ace Yuma Anzai. Musashi won the Pepsi belt.
Doragon Posted January 27 Author Posted January 27 From purolove LIDET UWF World Title: Katsuhiko Nakajima (D0/E2/Y1) (c) besiegt Minoru Tanaka (D2/E1/Y1) (8:29) durch TKO (Northern Light Bomb) (3rd defense). Very interesting.

Doragon Posted January 29 Author Posted January 29 (edited) Pro Wrestling Evolution Suwama defeated Shuji, and was then challenged to a match by Takuya Nomura. This promotion is more about the women first and then the men in that order. Edited January 29 by DragonZombie
