Dragon Posted November 1, 2025 Author Posted November 1, 2025 Fujinami: "During tours, once meals were finished, Inoki-san would always relax in the lobby of the lodging. The wrestlers would naturally gather there, surrounding Inoki-san as conversations began. There, Inoki-san would share stories from Brazil, from his days as an attendant, from his training in the United States, and so on. Those moments were incredibly valuable time for the wrestlers, and I absolutely adored Inoki-san in those times." 3

Curt McGirt Posted November 3, 2025 Posted November 3, 2025 Let us only hope he is a crowbar like his old man 2
Dragon Posted November 3, 2025 Author Posted November 3, 2025 Suwama defeated Nakajima. I would probably would watch it, but I don't want to watch full cards of GLEAT, so just watch that match.
Curt McGirt Posted November 3, 2025 Posted November 3, 2025 If that card shows up please post it, I'd like to see that match.

The match is online but you have to subscribe as member. I rather someone just rip the one match. They brought up old Nakjima stuff from AJPW in the build before this match. It is their only single match, Nakajima has been in AJPW in the past but never wrestled in singles against Suwama. Suwama has only wrestled 6 time year for AJPW, he is still primarily an AJPW player. That can change next year or not.... 1
Dragon Posted November 3, 2025 Author Posted November 3, 2025 (edited) 6 times this year*. NOAH new year Budokan show again next year. I dunno what they do with that. Kenta vs Kaito? They have another slogan now, "Neo High Standard Wrestling". Here's the next big card Edited November 3, 2025 by Doragon
Curt McGirt Posted November 3, 2025 Posted November 3, 2025 I've probably asked this before but why does Inamura wear a cowboy hat? AJPW Western Hoss gimmick?
Ramo2653 Posted November 3, 2025 Posted November 3, 2025 Was he wearing it prior to his excursion to NXT? I wonder if he adopted it after leaving there? Granted he didn't do anything cowboy related in NXT (biker adjacent when he teamed with Josh Briggs) but maybe he just wanted something to take? If he was wearing is before then, I got nothing.

He was in NXT, so America rubbed off on him and cultural appropriation is big in Japan for cutesy reasons. Is Florida southern? Might as well larp as some cowboy,
Dragon Posted November 3, 2025 Author Posted November 3, 2025 Mr. Smack Daddy Yoshiki Inamura. https://www.noah.co.jp/profile/36/ Bold to wear green.
Curt McGirt Posted November 4, 2025 Posted November 4, 2025 (edited) I immediately thought of two things 1. Jimmy Wang Yang 2. His name is on the tip of my tongue... the last dude in Japan to do the cowboy gimmick... he was enormous, and I think he retired or died? I think he even had the TC at one time. Mustache. EDIT: Joe Doering Edited November 4, 2025 by Curt McGirt
Dragon Posted November 4, 2025 Author Posted November 4, 2025 Doering was AJPW, until he wasn't after 2019. He won the Triple Crown twice in his career. Dude's still alive and he is inactive.
Dragon Posted November 4, 2025 Author Posted November 4, 2025 Anyway, with the extra gaijin on shows, AJP must had found more money or reallocated money over time. However, it's not the same as the old gaijin contracts, they're all freelance these days and also not listed on core roster part of the page and are on the participating part. Still only few of them.
