All I can think of is Harvey Keitel as an unrepentant degenerate gambler, jerking off into the window onto some girls he just pulled over, falling worse into addiction and slowly unraveling in general.  Somehow I don't think this will be that.  I hope this is a crazy action movie because I love when sequels totally change genres, like First Blood was a story about PTSD and our disregard for vets, while Rambo & Rambo 2 are MURICAAAAA action films.

Well, to be fair, Rambo 2 was still about disregard for vets, just with more explosions and less PTSD.

Everyone in the movie uses cocaine! It's not just one guy standing naked and crying in his living room, it's two! Nicholas Cage and Harvey Keitel show up at the end and say, "He was a....Bad Lieutenant." "Yeah, let's do some cocaine!" with Toto's "Hold The Line" as the ending credit song.

Miike walks in off-screen to tell Keitel (in Japanese) who is freebasing "You know, that's stuff's gonna kill you" and Keitel looks at Nic and says "Shut up! You're not a drug counsellor", then they both look at Miike and yell "YOU'RE A DRUG DEALER!!! BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"

And then they all three laugh and proceed to keep hitting the pipe.

A neo-noir with Margaret Qualley is not something I thought would be possible post-Death Stranding / post-The Substance. Drive Away Dolls was okay but people didn't like it.

My local (-ish, 15 minutes, non-highway) Regal closed down in December.  It was the last non-fancy theater close enough to me.  All I have now are highway drives to two different, pricey "reclining seats and full menu" monstrosities.  I just want to watch a movie, not have a "premium experience."

Apparently there is a movie coming out probably in 2026 based on John Madden (staring Nicholas Cage).   Cage needs about 20 more pounds but I could figure he could play the character of Madden well.   Also showing Al Davis being played by Christian Bale which man that sounds interesting

I saw that news and my first thought was that i wanted to see both actors, play both roles.  Give me a Face/Off sort of switch midway so i can also see Cage play Davis/Bale play Madden.
