Ah yes, another year where somehow TNA keeps dry dancing through the rain.  To start 2025, a re-signing:

He's on social media teasing a match with Omos which, hmm...

TNA Genesis this coming Sunday has already surpassed Hard To Kill’s attendance from last year.

Hard To Kill had 1,630 according to Wrestletix.

Yeah, she was the other one I thought about. Honestly, they were the only two -- Alexander didn't even cross my mind.

Just to fantasy book I'd love to see what they could do with Hammerstone.

I don't know if TNA is also going to work with GCW or not but PCO showed up at the Hammerstein show tonight, claimed to quit the company, and "tried" to destroy a title belt.

It was reported as being legit.  PCO is off contract (and has been since 1/1).

Report is he was upset his contract was not renewed.  TNA says the belt he took to Hammerstein was a replica and they have the actual belt, which you know, is probably the wisest decision they've made in a decade.

He was set to drop the title and leave the company on Thursday.  Obviously, with TNA management being "livid" with him, I'd expect a 30 second on air burial and him never being mentioned again.

Hope it was worth it!

There's been a lot of excitement about the advance sales for the TNA Rebellion and TNA Slammiversary PPVs internally.

Anthony Cicione is no longer the President of the company.

Josh Mathews and Christy Hemme are both done with TNA. Mrs. Hemme was in charge of the social media, Mathews was a Senior Producer and also the Senior Director of Digital Media.

There few other changes.

Fightful Select reported that Anthem has brought in new executives. George Veras is the Executive Producer for TNA and the Anthem Sports Group. And Andrea Pagnanelli is now the Senior Vice President of Marketing.

Some more info from PWInsider

George Veras worked in the past with ABC Sports, NBC, CBS' NFL Today series, The Cleveland Browns, The Football Hall of Fame, and more over his long career.  Veras will be putting together his own team.

Mark Brown will be a director for TNA. He was a director with ROH when it was owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group, and he has worked with NJPW on their events in the U.S.A.

George Veras was born in 19-fucking-50. why would you bring in somebody that's 75 years old to run anything?

Probably because of experience I'd guess.

the average retirement age in the US is 66-67. this old MF'er didn't even grow up with color TV. his "prime" of TV sports football was in the 1980s and the Olympics in the early '90s. he's never worked in wrestling. he's an old man. almost certainly a figurehead. he will offer no new takes, advice, or ideas. to me, this screams "we need to buy ourselves some authenticity". it's bullshit that old men like this refuse to step back and let other people take over. This leads to a stifling of creativity, stale presentation, and a stench of stagnation. Maybe ol' George here is "one of the good ones" but looking at his wikipedia, IMDB credits, and picture, i have my doubts.

Plenty of young people don't know what they're doing either, look at Tony Khan for example.  Anyways I'm not much of an ageist because that's not very liberal or progressive to me.

The old man isn't the booker either. And he probably will be replaced in the future. He was brought in to do a job similar to what Lee Fitting does in WWE, and that guy Lee never had wrestling experience either before joing WWE, yet Lee is more beloved than Kevin Dunn.

To be fair, there isn't much new to asborb from considering most things in the west aren't mainstream but niche markets these days. And the death of monoculture doesn't help.

To be fair, almost anyone not named Kevin Dunn would have been welcomed. WWE is just catching up to where sports have been for YEARS.  Is that good? Bad? All in the eyes of the beholder.
