SirSmUgly Posted October 30 Posted October 30 If you enjoyed KotOR, you'll probably like TOW well enough.

I actually do think they'd kick ass on a new R&C game and care more about one of those than Spider-Man 3, Venom, and Wolverine combined. Then you'll be excited to hear that the company roadmap that leaked a few years ago has them working on a new Ratchet & Clank game. But there's also an X-Men game in there too. I'm the opposite, where I enjoy the R&C games but love their Marvel stuff way more so I'm perfectly okay with Insomniac being a Marvel machine. I'm still salty that they cancelled the 3 planned DLCs for the game, and that live service multiverse Spidey game.
Cliff Hanger Posted October 30 Posted October 30 Spent a little time with VF5 World Stage and MKLK before bed and before work. VF5 doesn't really feel any different than Ultimate Showdown, but (a) I liked that revision and (b) they brought back a version of the 1p "Quest" mode from VF4 Evo and VF5 Vanilla, which was the most i have ever loved Virtua Fighter, so this was an easy ten bucks to justify. MKLK is pretty much what you'd expect. I played a few rounds of MK1 (arcade and SNES) and Trilogy, and did the first third or so of the first documentary segment. Interviews include the core MK1 team, plus Eugene Jarvis, Warren Davis (who designed Q*Bert and the digitjzed-video sprite tech), and pinball legend Steve Ritchie. Going back to SNES MK1 was a trip; I saved and saved to preorder that bullshit port and when I got it, I convinced myself it was a great port of a game that wasn't actually that good. Then, when the original games became more readily available on the Midway Treasures comps, I had long since given away the SNES game and had forgotten its bizarre control delays and other problems. This was my first time with that port this century, and HOLY SHIT did I get ripped off in HS. I didn't care about the blood being taken out then, and I still don't now, but I can acknowledge that the Genesis version absolutely smoked the SNES in every way except graphical fidelity.
JLSigman Posted November 2 Posted November 2 Darkstone is one of the 20,986 Diablo 1 clones they made in the late 90's/early 00's, and it holds up quite well. All 4 classes have male and female avatars, the quests aren't too hard, lots of exploring and loot, etc. Worth the $2 I paid for it (it's almost always on sale). 1
Doragon Posted November 4 Posted November 4 I don't touch rewind features. Those are yucko. Game Genie and Game Shark? They were based. Cheating done right. 1
Ramo2653 Posted November 4 Posted November 4 Finally finished off Lego Star Wars Skywalker Collection. I did a little bit of the open play mode but I think I'm good on trying to collect everything. I did pick up the MMPR Rita's Rewind game since it was on sale so I might give that a shot or finally start FFVII remake.
Doragon Posted November 5 Posted November 5 Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 Wavenet From TCFR wikia "Added anti-infinite protection, limiting amount of times a move can be done in a combo. Any attempts to continue the combo will play Stryker's whistle sound, forcing the combo to drop and displaying a caption making fun of the combo performer. Added goofy "Hall of Fame" easter-egg. This egg plays the character-unlock stage cycle, before showing a screen of Noob Saibot, Rain, Raiden and the arcade machines for MK1 and 2 welcoming players to the "Hall of Fame." Several balance changes across the board. Notably, Kabal's Dash special now has lengthier startup, causes his sprite to flash and a loud sound effect to play as a warning to the opponent."
odessasteps Posted November 5 Posted November 5 Finished Outer Wotlds 1 today, in a fairly quick manner. Thought it was okay. Starting OW2 later. 1

Doragon Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Here's your Mega DLC POKEMON can exceed over the normal limit of Lv. 100 with hyperspace levels. Reminds me of the glitch levels of red and blue.
JLSigman Posted November 7 Posted November 7 Started a Neverwinter Nights game blind (and new to me), and got to the point where I've screwed myself and need to start over. Will do so gladly, this game is fun once you get how it works. 1

Gonzo Posted November 7 Posted November 7 Per Wikipedia. . .yeah, I know. . .preliminary development of GTA VI formally started in 2014. Don't think this record, such as it is, is in danger or anything.
odessasteps Posted November 7 Posted November 7 Wasn’t part of the original story they weren’t going to release the game during the first [redacted] presidency?
Doragon Posted November 7 Posted November 7 Lost SPLATTERHOUSE RPG (Splatter World) was dumped. It only works on a certain emulator, FCEUX, became of its use of an Namco mapper. https://splatterhouse.kontek.net/new.html

SirSmUgly Posted November 10 Posted November 10 (edited) Finally rolled credits on Yotei. Mediocre game in almost every way other than the art direction and Atsu herself. The story was especially grating with some of the tropes they tossed in there. As soon as Spoiler the overly precocious secret niece got introduced, it was clear that Jubei was going to die. They also added a bunch of systems that sucked to deal with, and that goes double for the new overworld stuff like the boring reliquary puzzles. This game overstayed its welcome for me. If SP makes another Ghost game, I want it to follow the rogue archer who broke away from Ishikawa back in the first game. Let's follow her story. The Spoiler Storm Blade Mythic Tale just made me wish I were playing the first game again and probably shouldn't have been far and away the best thing in the game if they didn't want me to feel that way. Digging into The Outer Worlds 2, and they added radio stations! And a lot of new systems a la Yotei, but they seem more potentially interesting so far. Also, radio stations! I think as satire, TOW2 is like its predecessor in being entirely too on the nose, but a '40s-style pop song requesting that I consume as much Auntie's Choice Candy Tobacco as possible is pretty funny despite all that. Casey Posted November 10 Posted November 10 Is anyone playing ARC Raiders? I don’t usually like PvPvE games, or extraction shooters, but this game is addictive as all hell and really fun even without friends in a group. I’ve already made a handful of friends from prox chat alone in solos, and being on comms during a group run with randoms. Of course there’s the try-hards who want to kill everyone regardless but it’s honestly few and far between.
odessasteps Posted November 10 Posted November 10 One of my friends is playing it all the time, I do not get it, personally. OW2 must be much larger than the first game as I’m still on the first world.
