If you are playing the Indiana Jones game and are stuck doing the puzzle game inside the Siam pyramid, your game mayy have a bug that spawns the incorrect number of pieces. Try changing the game difficulty and that shhold give yoh the correct number.

As someone who loves Bioshock, annoying Duke Nukem type main characters and Soviet history - Atomic Heart is great stuff. I love it so far. I know the dialogue from the main character isn’t for everyone, and that was a big criticism when it came out, but I’ve already laughed out loud a few times at some lines he had.

The big drawing point for me is the USSR alternative history stuff, though. I’m such a fucking geek for alt history.

Well my "no zombie gaming" goal isn't completely hitting, as I played a good 2 hrs of Streets of Rage 4 survival mode yesterday, but I'm nearly to the end of Sonic Generations (beating the last boss, nowhere near Plat) and finished a chapter of IW in under 2 weeks so I'm doing much better already.

I saw a PS Portal in Target last week and, since I'd wanted one for a while, I bought it.

I don't know if Sony has really solved the "no touchpad" issue the Vita had - while optical buttons are better than the backpad, I still personally find that it feels unsatisfying to use in practice - but otherwise, I love this device. Nintendo was onto something with their off-TV gamepad for WiiU.

Went through my Steam accomplishments and noticed what I had started but never finished. So I'm replaying Final Fantasy XII (again) in the hopes that this time I'll actually get to the end it instead of getting bored/frustrated after 70+ hours. Some of the high level hunts still elude me, and never actually got the OP spear.

Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania

so i'd never played a Rogue-like game and i was hesitant to pick this up. It looked interesting, but i didn't know if the playstyle would be for me. But then they announced a Castlevania tie-in DLC, so i was sold.

I was having a decent amount of fun with this, but ended up getting frustrated and was losing interest. Just too much repetition, and i kept getting lost because all of the different realms seemed to lead in circles. That is, until i found that they had an assist mode, that gave you multiple lives (essentially turning this into a more straightforward platformer). And then i was all in on it. Finally made my way to Dracula's Castle (2nd version....apparently if you play through the first version and kill Death, it prohibits you from entering the 2nd one?) Finally made it to Dracula, and he WHOOPED MY ASS. a bunch of times. Finally overcame it.

I reached AN ending, but not THE ending. credits rolled. I'm calling this one complete. Had a good time, maybe i'll return and do more exploring some day. I would like to unlock more of the Castlevania exclusive stuff, but first i have more games to play....

So…. thanks to the TikTok ban, Marvel Snap is currently unavailable is the US

Turns out the games publisher is owned by ByteDance which is the same company that owns TikTok

The takedown apparently caught everyone by surprise including the developers

Now, a suspicious minded person might think "well, we're not sure if it's covered, but gamers can make a really loud pressure group if they're inconvenienced. so we're going to take it down and blame the law".

Maybe I should put gamers in quotes, considering their latest attempt to flex with Avowed.

Finished Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep, can't play Coded since I never had a DS but I'm aware of the story beats.

Loved the game play in BBS and as someone that initially only played the 3 mainline games before it really filled in some holes when I played 3 for the first time.

Storywise, I just have to say that Eraqus was an idiot and a little communication from this supposed master and teacher would have solved a lot of problems. But then we wouldn't have a game.

Giving Dream Drop Distance a shot next. I should probably play something else to switch it up too.

Got Dynasty Warriors: Origins yesterday, because I do love me some Dynasty Warriors and was hoping that the garbage that was 9 could be forgotten.

So far, so good. Yuan Zo (getting to name your own character is a nice touch) blew through the first battle and it seems like DW is officially back.

Marvel Snap’s devs say they hope to have the game back up in the next 12 hours

I don’t envy them trying to figure out compensation for (paid) players

I'm gonna turn on the nes mini later, the Mega Man 2 game is different from the one in the PS2 collection. It's the western one. The PS2 collection reused the Japanese one but edited and with selectable different options.

The normal mode for the western NES game and easy mode for the PS2 collection are different.

I don't think I ever played Dynasty Warriors before - maybe the first for a minute- but I started playing Origins for my stream and love it. So satisfying to hit a parry and wreck a general.

the first time i was exposed to that series was the Zelda crossover, Hyrule Warriors. there certainly is something satisfying about just mowing enemies down.

I think I'm at the point in Dynasty Warriors: Origins where its complexities are starting to be revealed.. The weapons, beyond Sword and Spear, feel very different now, and unlocking their potential requires a little more finesse.

Then beyond that, the battles are also more strategic about where you go and when you pull back. Because the defeat conditions involve other generals, you can't just brute force all the bad guys on your own - you actually have to think about the map and picking bases to fortify your position.

I've definitely gotten sucked in.

Man, I have bought so many cheap Dynasty Warriors games and the only one I've ever played more than 3 stages of was Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage on PS3. Not sure why I bounce so hard off the formula in every other case or why I still buy every single one I see for under $15.

While I'm not a fan of watching Adam Cole wrestle... watching him play Ender Magnolia was the last hurdle keeping me from buying it myself.

That's if I ever get around to priortizing my backlog and clearing it out.

This week, we got the first title crossover in Hearthstone history. The most recent Hearthstone set was The Great Beyond which is set in space. On Tuesday, Blizzard released a mini-set of cards featuring characters from Starcraft. It's breathed some life into a pretty stagnant game. The Great Beyond was largely ignored the past two months outside of a handful of cards because it isn't as powerful as previous sets but a lot of the cards in the mini-set help flesh out some of the mechanics. For example, the Terran cards help power the starship mechanic, which was supposed to be one of big selling points of The Great Beyond. Also, for old heads like me, playing a card and turning my character into Jim Reynor is pretty damn cool.

After watching streamers play Gwent, I have been playing it again the past few weeks. After CDPR shut down production on the game, they turned control of Gwent to the community. This lead to the Balance Council. Every month, players vote on nerfs and buffs and it turns out the community that plays the game has a pretty good idea of how to keep it balanced. The meta is wide open with many competitive decks and only a few power outliers. I built a Scoia'tael elves deck to do some quests and wound up winning several games with it much to my surprise.
