The question is whether she's actually younger than 24, not older. I'm speculating, but it's a valid reason why she'd be so defensive over the "how did you guys meet?" question.

RIPPA Posted May 20 Author Posted May 20 The Athletic today has a story that confirms that Jordan Hudson was the reason the UNC Hard Knocks was killed (amongst other issues) https://www.nytimes.com/2025/05/20/sports/bill-belichick-age-girlfriend-jordon-hudson.html Quote This winter, producers at N.F.L. Films decided that a new season of its sports docuseries, “Hard Knocks,” would focus on Mr. Belichick’s efforts to build the U.N.C. football program ahead of the 2025 season. HBO agreed to air it. But days before they were set to announce the series, Ms. Hudson demanded she be granted content approval and partial ownership of the show, according to a person familiar with the deal who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized by producers to speak to a reporter. N.F.L. Films pulled the plug. The producers later learned that Ms. Hudson was also in negotiations with another production company, EverWonder, to make a similar series, according to the person familiar with the situation. Ian Orefice, the chief executive of EverWonder, declined to comment. By the spring, Ms. Hudson was focused on applying for a slew of trademarks for phrases associated with Mr. Belichick’s leadership of the Patriots, including “No Days Off,” and “Do Your Job” — presumably to parlay them into content and merchandising opportunities Trouble is, the Patriots have held the trademarks on these phrases for years. So Ms. Hudson took a page from Ms. Swift, who rerecorded some of her albums as “(Taylor’s Version)” after her original recordings were sold without her involvement or financial participation. Ms. Hudson applied for trademarks on “No Days Off (Bill’s Version),” and “Do Your Job (Bill’s Version),” among several others. Ms. Hudson’s role in Mr. Belichick’s affairs truly exploded into public view last month, when CBS News aired its interview with Mr. Belichick. “We’re not talking about this,” she interjected sternly when the reporter Tony Dokoupil asked him how the romance began.

I guarantee you the words "we're moving the timeline up" were texted by her.
Brian Fowler Posted May 23 Posted May 23 The playoffs this year will be seeded by rank. Still the top five conference champions get in, but the top four no longer automatically get the byes. 1
Dolfan in NYC Posted June 3 Posted June 3 Gunner Rivers visited Texas yesterday as he decides where to go next year. He is the oldest of Philip Rivers' kids. Due to Philip's.... prolificness... we'll be hearing variations of this story from now through the early 2040s.
Brian Fowler Posted June 3 Posted June 3 There's an interesting bit of a standoff happening over potential formats for the CFP starting in 2026. The two main proposals, assuming a 16 team field, are 5+11 (top five conference champions plus eleven at large bids, clean and simple, decided by the committee) or a convoluted 4+4+2+2+3 format where the Big Ten and the SEC would get four auto bids, the ACC and Big 12 would each get two auto bids, one autobid for the top G6 champion, and three at large spots. The SEC and Big Ten have a bit of a strange disagreement though. The SEC mostly would prefer the 5+11, which the ACC and Big 12 also prefer (why the Big 12 wouldn't want two bids guaranteed is beyond me) but would prefer the convoluted version if they expand to 9 conference games, to avoid teams losing ground if they get an extra loss. Meanwhile, the Big Ten would prefer the 4+4+2+2+1+3 model, but would accept the 5+11 willingly if the SEC goes to nine conference games, not wanting the SEC to benefit from most schools only playing nine power conference opponents while over half the Big Ten teams are playing ten.
Brian Fowler Posted June 3 Posted June 3 The other wrinkle is, if we had one of those two models the previous 4 years, the only power conference that would've had less bids in the 4+4+2+2+1+3 format versus the 5+11 model is the Big Ten. So the self serving model actually would've been worse for them and better for everybody else.
Brian Fowler Posted June 7 Posted June 7 Putting this here, but it also applies in basketball and theoretically all other college sports. The House v NCAA settlement has been officially approved, schools can now pay players directly. With it comes the new NIL Clearinghouse which will theoretically regulate deals to only be legitimately for NIL, not pay for play circumventing the NCAA salary cap, and also for them all being "market value." Countdown to the first lawsuit after they declare a kid is overpaid for a marketing deal and the Clearinghouse gets defanged begins.... Now. 1
Tabe Posted June 20 Posted June 20 How does one poach a non-employee? And how does one violate an NIL deal by changing teams since NIL deals supposedly can't require you to play for a specific team?

It was a revenue sharing contract contingent on the House settlement being approved. 1
RIPPA Posted June 27 Author Posted June 27 Texas State will be joining the Pac 12 The officially move will happen for the 2026-2027 for all sports They will become the 8th football playing member of the new look Pac 12 thus allowing it to operate as a FBS conference starting with the 2026 season

Brian Fowler Posted June 28 Posted June 28 Apparently it has 40,000+ students. Moved to FBS in 2012, made a bowl game for the first time in 2023 and then made another one last year. Given the teams they struck out on, not sure the PAC-# was going to do any better. 1
Brian Fowler Posted June 29 Posted June 29 BYU graduate senior QB Jake Retzlaff is looking to transfer (because he's a graduate, he can transfer at any time before the season starts and not need to portal window) because he's facing a seven game honor code suspension. He's been sued for alleged sexual assault, which is not why he's being suspended. His defense is, unsurprisingly, that the sex was consensual. Which at BYU means honor code violation.
Brian Fowler Posted July 1 Posted July 1 Update: the lawsuit against him has been dismissed, though he will still be facing the suspension for having premarital sex.
