I just wonder exactly how much wrestling do these people expect us to keep up with every week?

Honestly, this is my only issue with the current landscape of wrestling.  I can't possibly follow all of it despite really wanting to be able to.

It's why mastering the art of the recap video package is so important to all companies in 2024. It's also why WWETV features regurgitated talk segments ad nauseum. But glorious tape delay makes a lot of things possible. 'We have the technology!' Live Wrestling with commercials just doesn't cut the mustard for me. I can watch 4-5 hours of weekly WWETV in an hour plus. I watch most AEW segments, but bypassing 'In Action', Acclaimed promos, lengthy entrances, desk spots, selling breaks, etc. makes for a far tighter better show. Especially with Collision/Rampage. It's also the only way I could ever possibly watch a 5 hour PPV without burning out and hating on the mid-show (would've been better on weekly TV) matches.

I was super excited about the idea of ROH and was going to subscribe but yeah I can barely keep up with 5 hours of AEW TV a week, even when I was really into the angles and wrestlers.

Drainmaker & Draven on Twitter always post bite size clips of stuff throughout all the shows so I don’t have to watch Rampage or Collision or ROH.

Draven does the same thing for WWE so that helps too.

There's so much wrestling to follow. I try to keep up to date with the main WWE (including NXT) and AEW shows and I have and will sometimes catch WOW on the weekends if I'm staying in but I have a NJPW World sub that I've had since early 2021 and I haven't watched anything since WK. Not for lack of desire, but just time constraints with work and other hobbies. I even stopped watching Impact and I still love that roster. I'm a long ways away from having to download episodes of the weekly DragonGate show from Megaupload links just to have something to watch that wasn't WWE.

He sold it on his Hoodlum clothing brand site at one point but it’s out of stock now.

Well, cutting out WWE (or NXT and PPVs anyway, never kept up with other weekly programming since it wasn't on the Network) has almost rid me of this problem but not quite!

Is "Winter is coming" happening this year? Because I don't think the product can get any colder.

I'm sure the Winter is Coming Dynamite will be happening as it's an annual AEW tradition.

Then again, pairing up with Game of Thrones isn't really a contemporary reference any more. It's all House of the Dragon now, so they should do House of Black vs House of Green somehow.

Not sure how they'll manage a Dunk and Egg concept match. Satnam and Riho as an intergender team, maybe?

Spoiler

Zack Sabre Jr vs. Ricochet at NJPW Wrestle Dynasty 1.

Shingo Takagi vs. Konosuke Takeshita for Takagi's NEVER Openweight Championship at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 19. If Takeshita is still AEW International Champion, it's title for title.

Winner faces Tomohiro Ishii at NJPW Wrestle Dynasty.

Yota Tsuji vs. Jack Perry at NJPW Wrestle Dynasty.

---

Already looking forward to Takagi vs. Takeshita and the winner vs. Ishii.

Is Riho going to shave herself bald?

Two months in and they haven't explained shit and each week, for me, just blurs with the last.

We need something in between this and WWE's "whole story within a PPV window with the folks feuding having already fought on most shows."

If Mox thinks this is a) good or b) something that’s necessary I have news for him they’ll be having one less viewer on a weekly basis if this doesn’t improve by the end of Worlds End next month.

I can’t stand his current “character” or what his vision of good tv is. To me he was always the worst of the three Shield members, and giving him any kind of backstage power seems like it’s off putting more people than it’s helping based on the attendance and ratings since his return.

The irony of Mox to me is he left WWE to do a more subversive, punk rock kind of wrestling, but that would be better executed in WWE than AEW now, in my opinion at least. He can be the one to bring blood back and “corrupt” the company. If he did a thumbtack spot everyone would be talking about it, instead of being just another spot in AEW. He can believably be their king of hardcore and violence, and finally not have to deal with Vince. I have not enjoyed his AEW stuff in years. I want to see him wrestling Masashi Takeda and Jun Kasai, not the Dark Order. Also have they explained yet why he never spends time with his wife and is always walking around dark hallways with some other woman while Renee just hangs around? I guess Marina and RJ are their work spouses. Have they explained the Marina relationship at all besides him saying he liked her work on a podcast once?

The heat for Moxley on this board is matching the heat in the arena. The heat in the arena however suggests to me that it's working. The Collision crowd in Providence seemed pretty hot for Mox v OC. I'm with Providence.

Just be glad Moxley has mostly graduated out of his Great Value Health Ledger Joker phase.  These promos, but with that delivery, would be just insufferable.

I'd prefer that as a huge fan of all things Batman especially The Dark Knight and Batman Begins. The less said about The Dark Knight Rises, the better.

3. The Dark Knight Rises.

2. Batman Begins.

1. The Dark Knight.
