RIPPA Posted November 18, 2024 Author Posted November 18, 2024 Forgot I wanted to mention this but it made me chuckle when we were talking about the type of movies that were and were not selected for this I stumbled across Variety's Top 100 Horror Movies of all time list - https://variety.com/lists/best-horror-movies-of-all-time/ It is whatever you want to make of it but I was entertained that this year we managed to select 3 movies on the list (and the remake of another one) 2

I stopped taking it seriously when they said What Ever Happened To Baby Jane? is a horror movie. I consider it to be like Ace in The Hole or Sunset Boulevard. 1
(BP) Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 That certainly is a list of well-known horror movies. The only one I was totally blindsided by was What Lies Beneath. I guess if you look at the past 30 years of Zemeckis’s filmography he is sort of a master of horror. 1

Yeah, that is a cross between a Sight & Sound kinda list and fucking Watchmojo. Repulsion at 100??!! WTF. Seven of the bottom ten are imo easily top 30 or 40 at worst. Great list in general with horrible rankings. 3
Curt McGirt Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 I was disappointed in this so... https://shop.fangoria.com/products/top-100-horror-movies-poster Spoiler Apologies but I can't find the one that zooms in, you can probably do it on your cell phone anyway. X and Barbarian even being on the list gave me a chortle. Seriously though about the Variety, I get to 97 and there's The Haunting. That is top ten. They have Dead of Night right next to Human Centipede 2. HELL NO. It isn't even on the Fangoria list though so, damn. Considering I have actually purchased Necro records I am very disappointed in myself for never listening to Flatlinerz until now. But I can quote Brotha Lynch Hung: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4w22oYdgU2Y 2
No Point Stance Posted November 21, 2024 Posted November 21, 2024 No Night of the Demon? And while I intended that to mean the Jacques Tournier movie, I'll admit to be vexed at the lack of the 1980 cock-ripping bigfoot flick too.
RazorbladeKiss87 Posted November 23, 2024 Posted November 23, 2024 I introduced the edge lord teens I work with to Brotha Lynch Hung the other day. They loved it. 1
Curt McGirt Posted November 23, 2024 Posted November 23, 2024 God, don't do Necro; it might get them into metal 1
