Kevin Wilson Posted October 6 Posted October 6 The issue with the Bills is simply they don't have any WRs. Kincaid was supposed to make up for that but he was iffy today and Knox didn't exist. That's a combination of maybe poor offseason decisions but Brady/McDermott is working with what they have. I don't like it either but blaming the coach when the WRs get zero separation and balls go off their finger tips seems kinda silly, I don't know what else they could have called on that last drive.
supremebve Posted October 6 Posted October 6 Every time I remember that McDermott used to work for Ron Rivera, everything about his coaching makes much more sense. They both seem to think having a good quarterback is all you need. No need to scheme anything, no need to have quality wide receivers, just put him out there and hope he's good enough to bail out your shitty coaching. 2
Log Posted October 6 Posted October 6 My son pointed out that Trent Green sounds like Don Callis, and now I can’t unhear it.
Raziel Posted October 6 Posted October 6 It's hard to defend McDermott when the Bills lost the game on shit clock management vs field position. 2
Cobra Commander Posted October 6 Posted October 6 meanwhile the Bengals/Ravens game is lumbering towards an exciting conclusion

One could argue they lost because the QB was 9 for 30 for 130 yards. The defense got two big turnovers in the 4th and the offense didn't capitalize. I love Josh Allen and I'm glad fans have stopped getting mad at him for having a bad game form time to time but I feel like people forming that opinion only watched the last 45 seconds of the game and are making conclusions based on that. The Bills had many chances to score and just didn't.

dogwelder Posted October 6 Posted October 6 Guess the Bengals are going to get a new holder this week

That'swhat the ending of the game worse; they absolutely deserved to lose the game, but still had a chance. kneel three times, punt and give a try in OT.
Kevin Wilson Posted October 6 Posted October 6 Just now, Kuetsar said: That'swhat the ending of the game worse; they absolutely deserved to lose the game, but still had a chance. kneel three times, punt and give a try in OT. Texans had three time outs, if they kneel three times the Texans get the ball with even more time left then they did. The same punt, Texans would have gotten the ball on the 45 just like they did, with no timeouts but 20 seconds on the clock and could have done the same five yard pass. If that is your solution its the same result. 1

This will sound like I’m talking in 20/20 but I saw it before it happened - the Bengals just quit. Joe Burrow, every time they showed him o the first Ravens OT possession, looked as ready to get up and try to win that game as Jay Cutler. So then he has to and doesn’t even try a pass. Then because the holder was just as ready he fucked up. Then the defense just plain quit. That was really freaking bad. 1
RIPPA Posted October 6 Posted October 6 Well that might be the most Giant play of this Giant season 4th and Goal on the 1 - the Giants RB fumbles at the goal line Seattle returns it 100 yards for the TD 1 1
RIPPA Posted October 6 Posted October 6 Oh BTW - Kevin Stefanski announced that they won't bench DeShaun Watson So again - they deserve everything that happens to them 6

Almost like running your best and only receiver out of town and giving your arch nemesis a pick that turned into Xavier Worthy were both terrible decisions huh? I bet nobody could have seen that coming. That’s just another reason the idiot GM needs to be fired besides McDermott. They won’t ever win a Super Bowl with those clowns (not that my Giants will with their current leadership either). 1 1
RIPPA Posted October 6 Posted October 6 The Giants seem to be moving the ball at will against Seattle which should be troubling for Seahawks fans 1
Kevin Wilson Posted October 6 Posted October 6 Jake Moody injured and done for the 49ers (my evaluation). Not sure if they have a backup kicker. Doubtful?
Cobra Commander Posted October 6 Posted October 6 The tweet displaying amazement that the Bills lost in regulation was something since it showed that the Texans had all 3 timeouts and only had to stop the Bills twice to get the ball back with time. Also Josh Allen had a single digit number of completions today 1
Brian Fowler Posted October 6 Posted October 6 One crazy ass play for the Rams against Green Bay for a defensive touchdown.

RIPPA Posted October 6 Posted October 6 Raiders have made a QB change Meanwhile Bo Nix has already reached the screaming Sean Payton portion of his career
Contentious C Posted October 6 Posted October 6 I think it was the CBS idjits who talked about Geno Smith as an MVP candidate and that the Giants would be an easy win at home. Welp!
BloodyChamp Posted October 6 Posted October 6 The Bills did try to replace Diggs. It just hasn’t worked out. Coleman.
BloodyChamp Posted October 6 Posted October 6 Ok so the 49ers…losing like that should piss them off so bad that they roll through everybody else all season like a good team in this situation would. I just don’t know if that have it in them though. They were going to come back on that last drive and win IMO. Kittle was open and could have ran for 20 after catching it but that 1 guy got to Purdy. Wow the SB is going to be 2 9 win teams vs each other unless the Vikings actually make it. 1
Kevin Wilson Posted October 6 Posted October 6 Moody getting hurt possibly cost the 49ers the game (they went for it on 4th and long while in FG range, but alas had no kicker), you know the minute the Chiefs lose a game for that reason the next year there will be a new rule about having an emergency kicker spot. I know teams can't justify using two game day slots on a FG kicker but man if he gets hurt you're kinda screwed. 4
