EVA Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 What about it? I think it was a fairly reasonable assertion before the game. They had lost one game on a once-in-a-lifetime type of play. I mean, obviously, they weren't 48-10 better than OU, or whatever May's crazy score was, but yeah. It's easy to sit here in The Future and say, "How ridiculous!" but, it really wasn't that ridiculous based on all the empirical evidence we had at the time.
TimLivingston Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 May isn't really an analyst at this point so anyone taking his word as anything other than affirmation for their own fandom is stretching it.
EVA Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 I miss his Thursday tete a tetes with Craig James. PONY MAYDAY PONY MAYDAY PONY MAYDAY PONY MAYDAY
Ned Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 "What about it? I think it was a fairly reasonable assertion before the game. They had lost one game on a once-in-a-lifetime type of play" A team cannot be the best in the nation if it just lost its previous game. Doesn't matter if it was by 50 or a Hail Mary or the daffiest ending of all time. It lost
Ned Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Well, that's a matter of debate. EMBRACE DEBATE. NEVER~!....
sydneybrown Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 You know all this means is that everyone will be really high on Oklahoma heading into next season and they'll crash and burn. Congratulations, you've just described about ten of OU's last fourteen seasons. I even live here and I'm not an OU fan, but after the 79th Katherine Webb shot after the fumble and the camera eventually going to Adrian Peterson celebrating like he had money on the game, I got really happy. What about it? I think it was a fairly reasonable assertion before the game. They had lost one game on a once-in-a-lifetime type of play. I think the secret to OU's success in bowl games is convincing Bob Stoops that everybody thinks his team sucks. It just seems like when they are the favorite, they die a death. But when they are heavy underdogs, they have something to prove, and they kill. 1

Craig H Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Ok, I couldn't watch more than a minute of that bullshit, but did duder hold back the entire time and not hit that woman? If that's the case, good on him. It just seems like a recipe for something really awful to happen and it would be nice if the guy didn't take that as an invitation to throw down with a woman.
Tabe Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Yep, didn't swing at her even once. Not even when she was trying to kick him in the head. He would have been totally justified in decking her.
EVA Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 He's just lucky she didn't put her balls on his face.
ChesterCopperpot Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 And now with the JR Hell in a Cell call
EVA Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Okay, the Jim Ross meme is generally played out, so I was ready to poopoo that, but the way she sells out on the dive makes it work. I mean, I bet she could do a tope at least as well as CM Punk.
Joe Lucia Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 I've also seen versions with the Mortal Kombat theme and Wrecking Ball - both quality work. Also, Phyllis didn't disappoint today on Finebaum.
Gonzalez Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 And now with the JR Hell in a Cell call We need one with New Jack balcony dive audio. Sort of like this...
hammerva Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 I guess that Train has a contract where he gets to perform at all BCS football games at least once. And who thought that Dirks Bentley in Miami was a good idea. What is Flo Rida shooting a commercial or something
pipGofern Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 Fuck. I was hoping the Steelers would nab Sammy Watkins at #15. After this performance tonight, he's barely getting out of the top ten (if at all). Guy is just unreal.
Niners Fan in CT Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 Two very good games tonight. After a slow start with a lot of blowouts, this bowl season has really picked up..

Ned Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 Meanwhile, Charlie Strong is headed to Tejas and Cutcliffe will likely succeed him....
