pipGofern Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Fitting that Auburn's season basically comes down to a kick return.
Brian Fowler Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 So, hey, we send the hated system out on a high note here, can't complain.
piranesi Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Short guys in your secondary. That's a paddlin'.
hammerva Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Finally a correct pass interference call in a BCS championship game
EVA Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 You can be damn sure Pruitt has trained his guys to BAT THE FUCKING BALL DOWN.
Niners Fan in CT Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 I came out of this game less impressed with Winston, really. He has a lot of work to do. ACC defenses are soft as baby shit and Auburn's wasn't great either... the tiniest bit of pressure threw him off. Good thing he has to come back next season.
Josh Mann Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 FINAL MIRACLE DENIED The SEC is just going to have to settle for winning 8 out of the last 9 next year.
hammerva Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 For christ sake Brent just because the SEC finally loses a BCS title game doesn't mean the conference is having a down year. A bit overdramatic on that one
Burgundy LaRue Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 To be fair, almost everyone has been saying the SEC is down this year.
EVA Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Hate to see The Streak ended, but thank fuck I don't have to deal with another Auburn national title.
Brian Fowler Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 We come not to mourn the BCS, but to bury it. Rest in hell. That said, hell of a fucking game.
Burgundy LaRue Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 I would say the Crystal Ball finally moved out of the state of Alabama, but Tallahassee is in the Florida Panhandle, which is just an extension of of Alabama.
pipGofern Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Yeah that was a dumb comment by Musberger. And for the dopes who were still arguing Bama was the best team in the nation - at least until their Bowl meltdown - Auburn showed they definitely belonged in the title game.
EVA Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 God, Rapeis is so overbearing. I guess it would be alright if half of what came out of his mouth wasn't complete nonsense.
Josh Mann Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 This is also the good times/bad times turning point in the ESPN 40 For 40 documentary on Jameis Winston 1
Gonzalez Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Seriously fuck the refs tonight. That taunting penalty might have been one of the most stupidest penalty I've ever seen in a title game. I understand calling it in crappy regular season game, but a potential back breaking penalty in a big title game is absolute bullshit. And it came after the fucking obvious the illegal horse collar that should have been called. Whatever, good game. The right team won yadda yadda yadda...
Dewar Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Winston's interview was awesome. If he and JFF flame out of the NFL, I want to see them as a tag team on Raw every week. If tonight's announcing is an indication of what we can expect now that ESPN will be running the SEC Network, I am going to need to watch games on mute. Musberger may as well have been wearing blue and orange tonight. It's amazing that Millen's "buckaroo" night wasn't the shittiest announcing performance of bowl season.
Dewar Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Winston's second interview was awesome too. Nice touch with the roses out in Pasedena as well.
EVA Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 I imagine Auburn area businesses are taking a bath on all that toilet paper inventory they bought up over the holidays tonight.
Josh Mann Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 That was somewhere between Ray Lewis and The Iron Shiek.
Gonzalez Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Winston's interview was awesome. If he and JFF flame out of the NFL, I want to see them as a tag team on Raw every week. I've been saying this since the locker room speech before the Clemson game. The guy has that "It Factor" the WWE has been dying for since The Rock left for Hollywood.
Death From Above Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Are all of Winton's interviews this hypnotic/car crash sort of thing? Really good game. Was a lot of fun. Been a great couple days of sports all round, really.
Josh Mann Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 AJ McCarron's mother on Twitter: "Am I listening to English?" Shit just got real. #WhenDoesDeeDeesPlaneLand
