Having been to Wembley Stadium, the idea of thousands of people rushing the entrances and actually getting in seems bizarre. Looked pretty fucking secure last year. Although possibly they stepped up the security in response to that having happened.

Think about how many times it’s happened in England in modern times (this century)  in club football. The only thing off the top of my head is that time at Manchester United, which I think was a Super League protest. Only other thing I can think of is various attacks of visiting team buses. 
 

Not counting pitch invasions or non violent protests like throwing tennis balls to protest bad owners.

So Miami-Dade police reported 55 arrested at the game and about 75 kicked out.  So, the moral of the story is...  it worked.  😕

 

In other, really embarrassing for everyone involved Copa America news...  Two of the people arrested were the Colombian soccer federation's president and son.  

They were arrested for getting into a physical fight with several security guards who refused to let them on the field after the match had concluded. 

I’ve also heard 2 pods/radio shows discussing the racist song Argentina players were singing. 

Shocked that there has yet to be a mention here of the shocking death of Bordeaux FC.

    Always good to remember while many athletes do all kinds of bad stuff, they are still targets too. Kyle Walker might be a creep for cheating on his wife, but the stuff his baby mama wanted is amazing.

    Leeds vs. Portsmouth is 2-2 in the Championship on TV. Straight after on TV is a proper Yorkshire football team as Bradford City are away to MK Dons in League 2. Couldn't resist, AxB ;). It'll be soon that time of year my browser asks for verification I'm human looking for Leeds United pictures for your birthday ;).

    Imagine my surprise this morning when I found out the EFL is on Paramount+. Cindy will be thrilled because Wrexham has nine televised matches there. Through SEPTEMBER. 😮

    MK Dons 0-2 Bradford City after 5 minutes. First goal was a screamer by Pattison and the second is one of the funniest own goals I've ever seen.

    The good thing with the EFL TV deal is they’ve made all the TV picks through the end of the year, so you won’t have matches switching times at the last week or two, like with the Premier League.
