AxB Posted June 5, 2024 Posted June 5, 2024 Apparently this is the first time that all 4 BCC members have teamed on telly. Also, YUTA'S BACK~! 7
Technico Support Posted June 5, 2024 Posted June 5, 2024 @Dolfan in NYC I keep wishing Shane Taylor Promotions would work Dynamite so you can employ "Wake Me Up Before You Ogogo." 1 4

Biggest debate this week, "Domo Arigato Nick Comoroto" flowed better. But he hasn't been on AEW TV in a dog's age. Plus he shaved. 1 1 1

NikoBaltimore Posted June 5, 2024 Posted June 5, 2024 Apparently Comoroto lives in my county since he married somebody that's lived here all her life. So there is a small chance that I may run into him one day. And with him shaven like that it will make it easier to tell that's Nick. 1
Cobra Commander Posted June 6, 2024 Posted June 6, 2024 missed the first 15 minutes watching Skenes vs Ohtani on MLBN so I guess Daniels controls some segments and the Bucks others I guess Danielson is going to the Owen finals and losing also.. a variety of good matches and some even had drama about who'd win
Johnny Sorrow Posted June 6, 2024 Posted June 6, 2024 (edited) I'm going to write up a road report tomorrow but I'll say this. It's my birthday and I had a lot of rage to get out of my system. See the DVDVR Live journal thread for more details. I really don't watch AEW that much anymore but I had the best time. My best pal drove and I was Mr. two gummies and lotsa beers . The people around us got a show. One guy didn't like that I was cheering Jay Lethal, but everyone else seemed to be fine. Three little girls and their folks were fans. The kids were laughing and when Rampage started they moved down from behind us to sit closer, and the mom said to me, "You're commentary is EVERYTHING." It took me a second to realize that was a compliment. Cause my "commentary", was boos, cheers, dancing, and heckling. I'm sure one thing those kids will remember is that the fat, bald guy in the tye dye seemed to REALLY hate the Young Bucks, Jericho, and Rick Knox. It was one of my best birthdays. Cobra Commander Posted June 6, 2024 Posted June 6, 2024 Jericho talking like everybody around him is wearing a hearing aid is at least better TV than the Evil EVP Bucks, especially since you need an AEW Employee Handbook to figure out who's in control from segment to segment 1

I thought it was the shits, as everyone within two sections were quite aware of 1
caley Posted June 6, 2024 Posted June 6, 2024 I can't figure out when Jericho's character switched from "Deluded lockerroom leader in a thin parody of CM Punk" became "Bragging guy who makes inder-y comments in a thin parody of Eugene" but I do not approve. 1
Cobra Commander Posted June 6, 2024 Posted June 6, 2024 at least they got Hook away from Jericho so that they can do a Hook/Samoa Joe homage to the Bigger Brother episode of the Simpsons 2
stuntmanc Posted June 6, 2024 Posted June 6, 2024 Every single week, I fail to find enough words to encapsulate how much I appreciate and love Toni Storm and the work she is doing. "Where the Breast Wrestle" 4 2 2

Simply advocating on behalf of the Devil here, but how do you know that Punk isn't like that backstage in real life? Yeah, he's being over the top, but all he is really did in those vignettes was go around and give everyone unsolicited advice, as if he were an expert in everything. Certainly sounds like Punk... 5
ExcellenceofAirPollution Posted June 6, 2024 Posted June 6, 2024 I'm trying to get back in the habit of watching Dynamite night of and to watch as much as I can of the product week to week, I know I've missed a lot of good stuff on TV this year and I'm also aware with WBD/Zazlov I need to enjoy it while it lasts just in case. I feel like the promotion as a whole is in a good place and gearing up to be on a hot streak this summer. Forbidden Door-->All In/All Out feels like it's now their version of WM season. Embarrassment of riches this roster is. Eddie and Cope break their legs, no problem, here's MJF, Rush and Wheeler Yuta! Did we mention Fenix is back? And hey, it's Forbidden Door season literally anyone could show up!!! Good time to be an AEW fan Overall a fun show, first hour dragged a bit but hour 2 was a lot stronger. If you're short on time you could start with the 8 man tag and go from there Rush - "Americans talk too much!" Rando in the crowd - "HE'S RIGHT!" popped me Like "Bad Apple" as a nickname for Bryan Keith. Bad Apple and Redwood are great in this angle, Jericho's delivery/character is still a work in progress. I liked the idea of the camera following them all night but it was hit and miss. Best of these segments were with Menard and Parker, and Public Party. I'd add Public Party to the group, they need something to do Daniel Garcia package was really good. I don't think I'd ever seen the picture of him in bed after the accident with his legs all twisted. Damn. Awesome seeing Yuta back! Didn't realize how much I missed the little bastard, you could see how happy the other guys were to have him back. This match was a fun mess. So much miscommunication, not being on the same page and the CMLL guys being out of their element on TV but BCC managed to hold it together for the most part. Need to be a fly on the wall for whatever meeting these guys had earlier in the show. Claudio can translate, right? Loved the CMLL guys just taking the lower left corner so for the first part of the match you've got both teams tagging from the same side of the ring, lol. I need to see more of The Sphinx Buck: "Hey, what's your shoe size?" Christian from off-screen: "12" Buck: "Nice." Taz: "That is definitely a Dangerous Alliance.....or group, dangerous group" Mariah and Saraya in a battle of two of my favorite AEW themes! Mariah cosplaying Toni is great. I've totally turned the corner on Timeless Toni once she got back to working mostly serious in the ring and they hit their stride with MM as part of the act. For me it went.....Loved Toni as was, loved the early stuff in the Outcasts with her losing her mind and slipping into this character, hated how they immediately went way over the top sports entertainment with it....then they started nailing the character/promos while struggling with the matches.....and finally here we are where it all clicks. It was a bumpy road with a lot of growing pains but the act is all around great now and has been for a couple months. I never want it to go away and I feel bad for having doubted her/the character but it is what it is Whatever is going on between Toni, Mariah and Mina is great. The daughter/protege thing + clear attraction/lesbian vibes making it somewhat incestuous and taboo (nevermind that they're not related and basically the same age, lol), then you throw in Mina MM's old "partner" who has her own weird relationship with her....Mariah plays it great...the whole thing is a glorious mess and I hope it gets all the ratings in the world Bryan's promo was Great!!! Everyone's been talking about how much he loses, might as well address it. It did make me worried that it might be him and Ospreay at Wembley though. Not that that's a bad thing, it's a great main event, but it's also way too early for Swerve to lose when he's just hitting his stride as champion. Like tonight it hit me that Swerve as champ is finally starting to click for me and I'm ready for him to have a long reign....but that shit does not seem to be in the cards. I'm pretty annoyed by how Swerve has been booked TBH. I know I've posted about it b4 but they didn't strike when the iron was hottest and when they did his face/heel stuff and thus his crowd reactions were all FUBAR. Now he's finally been firmly established as a face, the crowd reactions are coming back consistently, he's growing into being the champion.....has a good fighter/never say die in-ring style as a babyface champion that I can see him honing in real time......and he's gonna get the rug pulled out from under him. Life ain't fair. Roddy and Swerve had a good match and in other news water is wet and Trump's a criminal. Swerve and Nana celebrating with some granny doing the Nana dance was the best Dynamite ending in a while 4
Log Posted June 6, 2024 Posted June 6, 2024 Really fun show overall. Personal highlights were the dancing granny and Big Bill laughing and saying, “You got me!” when Daddy Magic insulted him. Fenix/Osprey is going to be insane next week. 4
Mike Campbell Posted June 6, 2024 Posted June 6, 2024 Interesting that one of the big news items earlier this year was that AEW working with CMLL meant that any non CMLL Mexican wrestlers couldn't be on the same show as CMLL guys. And here we opened with a Rush promo and then the first match was won by Rey Fenix, before the big 8 Man tag. 3
The Natural Posted June 6, 2024 Posted June 6, 2024 https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=urUdorP_5fw Post Dynamite promos. 1
hammerva Posted June 6, 2024 Posted June 6, 2024 So I guess Alicia Atout is now a full time member of AEW backstage team. She is really good when she isn't playing a character but yea I guess membership does have it's privileges. 1
Technico Support Posted June 6, 2024 Posted June 6, 2024 "If you respected Chris Jericho you wouldn't have that shaky-ass camera!" "You better make sure that baby respects Chris Jericho!" Who the fuck had "Bryan Keith becomes an amazingly entertaining sports entertainment character" on their 2024 predictions? The man is incredible. Also, as an IT guy, I respected the fan who had a hoodie that said "ftp" in nWo font. Micro Center needs to be selling those yesterday. 6 2
Sex Machine Gun Posted June 6, 2024 Posted June 6, 2024 I finally realized the missing quality no one's listed about Jericho's shit last night. That wasn't Eugene delivery as I've seen some say here and there, it was Moppy-era Perry Saturn. Had a lot more charm and humor when it was nonsensical and NOT TALKING SO LOUDLY ALL THE GODDAMN TIME. 3
