Raziel Posted July 17, 2024 Posted July 17, 2024 I mean, if you GOTTA focus away from Kang, letting those two pull off the full pivot to Doom or whoever. 3

I think post Endgame it has also been clear that their bread and butter is superhero movies. I understand the need or want to do different stuff and not only do MCU flicks, but it’s what they do best. 2

I know some will say the best. Russo Brothers are 4/0: Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014). Captain America: Civil War (2016). Avengers: Infinity War (2018). Avengers: Endgame (2019).
Craig H Posted July 18, 2024 Posted July 18, 2024 I don’t know how you scrub Kang Dynasty at this point, but there has to be a way to do it within a movie and pivot to Doom. Hell, while the multiverse stuff has been a little weak, you may as well do Avengers: Secret War and then Avengers: Battleworld.
JonnyLaw Posted July 18, 2024 Author Posted July 18, 2024 Assuming they don’t recast Kang (I liked the Colman Domingo rumors) you can take care of him off screen, or a brief cameo of another actor playing a Kang variant, as a way to introduce Doom. That’s basically what they did with Mordo, not that people were happy about it. I think given the circumstances here, people would presumably/hopefully be a little more understanding.
odessasteps Posted July 18, 2024 Posted July 18, 2024 Has it been mentioned here yet that the FF movie is apparently a period movie? If so, I wonder how that would effect Doom.
Curt McGirt Posted July 26, 2024 Posted July 26, 2024 Those were all individual drones? That's crazy.

The Natural Posted July 28, 2024 Posted July 28, 2024 Not sold on RDJ as Doctor Doom. Never once considered that. I was wanting Mads back. 1
Casey Posted July 28, 2024 Posted July 28, 2024 100% it’s a variant of Tony Stark that becomes Dr. Doom instead of Iron Man. 1
TheVileOne Posted July 28, 2024 Posted July 28, 2024 If it’s Tony Stark instead of Victor Von Doom, no thanks. 1

Casey Posted July 28, 2024 Posted July 28, 2024 Kingsley as The Mandarin before the joke reveal was awesome, Tony Leung as the actual Mandarin was awesome. This could be the exact same scenario. Stark as Doom/Doom as Stark is also the plot of a What If comic from like a decade ago. I mean it was basically Superior Spider-Man before that was a thing, but still. 3
