Well, it sounds like we all agree that having an unnecessary draft special on Rampage is the best course of action. The only issue is, in order for this to work we need over the top General Managers that for the rest of the year pretend to be wheeling and dealing with trades. Here are a few options:

Ace Steel - so what if he bit someone. The other guy kicked a dog. This would be an internet shock announcement that will shake the forums to their core. Think Bischoff on Raw x1000.

Arn Anderson - He maintains a sense of legitimacy and honorability. Imagine him running down the card like Excalibur, but instead of rapidly fast, it would be slow with heavy breathing.

QT Marshall - Screw Qampage, he could have Qynamite!

Shane McMahon - I’m pretty sure he’s gonna be free.

Don Callis - The Elite break free from his mind control and now he’s the boss out for revenge.

Stokely Hathaway - The right answer.

Dasha Gonzalez - I think she has wonderful charisma and it would be interesting to see her in this role.

Alex Marvez - See Dasha Gonzalez

Mark Henry - I like the idea of a GM being bigger than the rest of the roster. Plus, seeing him in an authority role would be unique and I think could work very well.

If we have to do this (brand split), yes. This is 100000% the answer.

Battle of The Belts last week had Lethal approach Mark and say they should look out for each other and Mark agreed but was surprised when Jarrett and Co swarmed him and welcomed him to the group.

And Mark was like "I thought you meant just us two, I didn't mean I want anything to do with these douches!" but didn't actually say anything.

Ok, not free, then. Let's call it reasonably priced and available.

That’s the twist, his talent contract says McMahon…Reverse Nitro! Vince was getting paid for his services and now Shane goes to AEW.

I'm 40 and out of shape though at least try to eat healthyish.  I could tell I was 40 when one morning I'm in bed and my right shin decided to hurt for no reason.  Was a pain in the ass for a couple weeks and that was from nothing at all.  Darn my Greek stock.  But that didn't stop me from getting in the pit in Philly for a bit.  One fall I could handle fine but when my shin gave me trouble after falling again I'm like "Nope, I'll just chill on the perimeter thank you very much."  Still a very fun time and the people were awesome.

When you get a little older you'll start needing to wear gel insoles and/or arch support and eventually abandon your beloved Vans and Chuck Taylors for running shoes. Not quite to the Skechers or orthopedic inserts stage yet, but considering my line of work it's inevitable. I found a nice pair of Asics orthofoam that don't look like Dad shoes but are comfy as hell and my feet and legs don't ache in the mornings anymore.

I had a random thought.  What if at Forbidden Door you had MJF vs Okada?  THEN Okada wins the AEW title.  THEN the four pillars REALLY don't look like they are in contention for the belt and it goes over to the contingent of Bryan Danielson, Kenny Omega, Jon Moxley, maybe Claudio, and Jay White.  And you could also have Will Ospreay win it and have ANOTHER Ospreay/Omega bout but for the AEW title.  It won't happen because TK is separating the world title from the actual world famous superstars in the company and I'm not sure how mixed up he wants to get with New Japan booking.

I hear this. My first thought seeing Okada's shoulders pinned to the canvas for a 3 count by Sanada and his new haircut was Kazuichi being free for a, perhaps short, AEW World Title run. I'm not suggesting this will actually happen, but I think we might get some belts traded between the companies at this year's ForDoor2. Seems likely title for title FTR-Aussie Open Deux will at least go down.

I want a short Okada run with the AEW title some day, but there are babyfaces on the AEW roster who deserve that rub more. Being the guy who ends Max's 'reign of terror' is

Totally hypothetical, but I saw some fantasy booking from pages back where somebody said MJF should defend against + retire Sting. To me, this only makes sense if Darby is gonna be the next champion. But I don't really want a long Darby reign, so MJF -> Darby -> Okada would be fine by me. Unless that storyline gets in the way of Wardlow getting a shot against MJF only to be thwarted by part-time-hired-muscle Bill Goldberg, who then gets to work some semi-cringey Rosh Hashanah/Yom Kippur segment on Dynamite with Max before passing the torch to Wardlow in a sub-five minute dog and pony show only to never be seen again.

And now that I've lost the plot completely, stop fantasy booking Vikingo against Okada, Ospreay, or any NJPW talent. You're gonna break your own heart. Is is 100% politically impossible for those matches to happen any time soon. Andrade wasn't even allowed to work Forbidden Door because he was partially a AAA guy.

How about this -

-Omega vs. Ospreay II is announced for Forbidden Door

-At the go-home Dynamite in Chicago, Ospreay complains that Omega will have hometown advantage in Toronto and therefore he wants to choose the referee. Omega agrees. Out comes Punk in a referee shirt.

-Punk costs Omega the belt at Forbidden Door, joining United Empire

-Omega defeats Punk at All In at Wembley Stadium

-United Empire defeat The Elite in Anarchy in the Arena at All Out in Chicago

I think if they did a brand split it would be a very "at the top" type thing. No draft, no big to-do, just Dynamite being "The Elite's show" and Saturday being "Punk's show" with everyone else going back and forth depending on the storyline. If they were smart they wouldn't even acknowledge it on TV, just have that be the way it is with little to no fanfare.

Sean Ross Sapp said during a Q&A that AEW PPV's are moving to Max beginning with All In/All Out and they're just waiting to announce it.

Moving All Access to Max and making it a weekly AEW recap show for subscribers like Inside the NFL might be a way to salvage it.

Feels a little odd commenting on an uncredited unofficial rumour, but... I read 'soft roster split' as Week 1: Crew 1 works Wednesday while Crew 2 works Saturday. Week 2: Vice versa and so on and so forth. That's not a whole lot different from the current state of rotating affairs between Wednesday and Friday. Splitting and having one crew work exclusively on the purposed Saturday show doesn't make a whole lot of sense. In that the Saturday show doesn't seem at all likely to draw the ratings and attention the established Wednesday show currently does, and is likely to continue to do. AEW, or Tony specifically, doesn't like the label B show, but Rampage clearly is and whatever Collision is it'll be either B2 or C. Again, I don't at all see this company regulating their top earners to a B or C show every week.

There doesn't even need to be a brand split. You can have two separate shows and Punk and The Elite are never on the same show, without having either faction exclusive to one show. You can have The Elite work Wednesday one week and Saturday on the next.

Now what happens on PPVs, that's a different story. Presumably you could book someone in the opening match and someone else in the 4th hour and make sure they are never in the same building at the same time. But ordering them to handle it maturely is a better idea.

Twelve PPVs a year, Punk gets half and the Elite gets the other. Each side gets to be on Forbidden Door/Wrestle Kingdom every other year.

I know everyone wants to brainstorm about what could be done but your last sentence there is what it boils down to.  You don't want to set a precedent for any of this behavior. Also, fans want to see these guys work together too.  A lot of guys in that locker room are Bret stans.  Well, Bret was always a professional. He worked with a lot of people he couldn't stand but when the bell rang, they went to work.

AEW as of a couple months ago was going to start running Saturday house shows, but then Tony showed up to the first one and it was filmed

If Tony can't even let Jarrett run house shows without micromanaging them, then you might as well sell the Saturday shows to television

Err..I dunno about that. Fighting backstage in Hartford. Not wanting to take Diesel's jacknife powerbomb. Intentionally going past the time he was suppose to talk to the point where Raw went off air and what was suppose to happen didn't place before the show ended. Some of the hissy fits he threw in WCW. Most of the time? You can still argue probably not, but I can give you that. Always? Hell no.
