Confirmed this morning that Mike Leach had died.

RIP The Pirate. CFB will definitely be a less interesting place without him.

Damn it, life can end just way too quick. Two days ago, 48 hours ago everything seemed normal and now here we are.

Man revolutionized the game with the air raid and had some of, if not the most entertaining soundbites in sports. The world of college football is in a better place for having Coach Leach in it but today it took a hit. A true legend.

And also a great guest spot of Friday Night Lights.

UCLA's regents approved their move to the B1G.

They'll have to pay a significant penalty to Cal-Berkeley due to the drop in revenue. But otherwise, the move will be official beginning in the 2024-25 academic year.

Current Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker will be the next NCAA President

Baker's term as Governor ends in January and he will start as Mark Emmert's replacement on March 1

Purdue has hired Drew Brees to be an assistant coach through the bowl game

Apparently Brees said he wanted to do it to help the team while it was transitioning to its new HC

QB Nick Evers has transferred from Oklahoma to Wisconsin

QB Dylan Raiola - who is apparently the #1 QB in the 2024 class - has decommitted from Ohio State (He picked OSU over Alabama and USC and his uncle is on the staff of Nebraska)

Michigan's recruiting is staying around the lower portions of the top 25 (not shocking, they've been pretty slow to fully embrace the NIL thing, though there's a lot of talk about it getting ramped up going forward) but they are, at least on paper, killing it in the transfer portal. They've landed 24/7's best and eleventh best rated players so far. Currently ranked second only behind Oklahoma, and they are in the mix for another guy or two.
