I'm glad that they put RVD in a spotty 4-way elimination match instead of tying him to the HOOK stuff by "giving" us Jericho vs RVD in 2024 as a rematch from their match that Jericho got pissy about on the internet all those years ago for people not liking it as much as he thought they should.

classic.  I think he felt redeemed by their last match from 2013 when they randomly went 20+ in the main event of RAW

Who in the hell is Jacoby Watts?  I don't recognize him anyway.   Although to be fair I barely recognize Nick Comoroto either with this new look of his

He's a Nightmare Factory student, used to be a regular on AEW Dark as Dean Alexander.  I'm intrigued by Comoroto having something going on at least and hope it goes somewhere, his theme music rules.

Oh I'm way the fuck more interested in the sequel. Jukebox musical sequel to a serious drama that wasn't a musical, with Lady Gaga the second lead? This has high trainwreck potential, but it also could end up being something special. Basically I can see it being a 1/5 or a 4.5/5 but I can't imagine it's gonna be a 2.5-3/5 like the first one was.

I'll be seeing it cause I love Gaga, but had been wondering if I should make a point to see all of the first one first.

  5. Lee Johnson/JD Drake was pretty good. Abadon squashing Allysin Kay was surprisingly quick, but Marti Belle looked good against Lady Frost

The Infantry over the Iron Savages, followed by a brawl with the Premiere Athletes leading to the save from Dalton Castle, Mark Briscoe, Bryan Keith, and Big Shotty made for an intriguing overall segment.

Fun women's trios match. Love the face team of Kiera/Leyla/Adora, though I've been missing the Renegades lately. Coming off Battle of the Belts, I love Aminata going after Athena next as follow up to her loss to Billie.

Nice little main event of Briscoe vs Griff Garrison.

    Hold up! Mike O’Hearn is also a wrestler/fighter? Not just a bodybuilder/meme?!?!

This is his first match/fight I believe.  He met with Vince & Shane about coming to WWE in 92/93 but says he couldn't do it because of his contract with American Gladiators, then met Terry Taylor about coming in to WCW in 2000 when they did the crossover with Battle Dome but then WCW got sold and he said WWE were still unhappy with him for not coming in the first time, so he wasn't brought along.  He was married to WCW valet Midajah at the time.

  7. Goldie Collins rules. Glad to see her still get some shine even as a victim of the Beast. Laughed at her taking a powder to the outside and asking if the Beast has had her shots

Love to see a spotlight on Genesis, another that's always a highlight every time. Also good to see Stephy pop back up even if it is almost always to get crushed.

Chella beating Chainsaw relatively quick was surprising but I liked the post-match and return of Siren.  Shorter matches this week but a lot of solid storyline/character work.

Enjoyed the main event. Didn't expect Abilene to pick a legit challenger but was a pretty awesome champion vs lower card babyface type match while it lasted. Didn't see the ending coming as I thought the Jessie Jones saga ended, but the feud continues.

I'm so far behind on my Impacts, but TNA+ has informed me that there will be a THIRD match between Walking Weapon and Alex Hammerstone. This means there is a second match between them on Impact somewhere! I'm so stoked! The first match was such a war!

Match 2 was on the most recent TNA+ special event, Sacrifice.

  10.

Solid opener from Isiah/Andretti.  Surprised to see Christopher Daniels get the win over Cole Karter, but love to see it.  Lots of squashes elsewhere in a short 1 hour episode for the post-PPV week.

Retro wrestling games what didn't age very well report:

WWF War Zone isn't very good, but I respect it. I think I said here that it was such a leap from the LJN games that I still have that residual feeling of, whoa, this looks way the hell better. It's a real graphical jump. You look at WWF RAW on 32X and then look at War Zone on PSOne and think to yourself, "Well, what the hell was the point of the 32X?"

I do think War Zone is still playable...if you don't mind pausing the game to scroll the move list about fifty times per match.

WWF Attitude: See WWF War Zone, with the added note that I love this roster, but that Head should have been screwed onto the top of a Head and Shoulders bottle (tm) a la KotR '98.

WCW Mayhem: This isn't good, and it's a real bummer when your first unlocked wrestler ends up being *checks notes* Bobby Blaze, what the fuck?! There's a glimmer of something decent here, though.

Now, there is a rumor, and I don't know how true it is, that EA had enlisted AKI to make a new WCW game with a new engine after AKI finished up developing WWF No Mercy that ended up becoming Def Jam Vendetta. Can you imagine? I think Def Jam: Fight For New York is legit one of the greatest fighting games ever, so I'm glad we got that, but if WCW had lived, kept their deal with EA, and then we got a series of WCW games in the Vendetta engine, now that sounds like a good time, man. AJ Styles versus Crowbar in the Vendetta engine, hell yeah.

I've been wanting to pickup a ps1 sometime to play some of the old classics I still have like WarZone and I always had fun with Attitude back in the day.

Recently grabbed Mayhem for n64.  Definitely not very good but I love the crazy roster like Bobby Blaze! Also the only game to ever include Bobby Eaton (and Bobby Duncum Jr. too among others)

Only ever rented Def Jam, but would love to give that another go again.

  12. Hot opening seg with the Beast and Abilene. I had thought Beast was getting her shot this week but I guess not yet, though we never find out who Abilene's opponent would be instead.

Reina/Aussie ended up pretty good. Thought Aussie would end up overcoming her but not to be. Liked Gambino at ringside. Not sure of the taping cycle in regards to her injury but had me wondering if she'd stay on TV in a role like that.

Mighty Mights vs Brat Pack was awesome. Some unique moves there and a fast pace. Lil J continues to shine and Gigi looked good here too. Spice was on fire throughout.

Another fun tag in Miami Sweet Heat vs the debuting Dojo Defenders. The Fab Jab always rules. Fun post-match with the Mother Truckers as well.

Main event was a nice trios match that had been setup previously but by far the shortest match of the night. Sad to see the heel team start to implode afterwards.

My favorite thing that I saw was someone noted how this shows how Brett will never be Dennis Carluzzo because Carluzzo would have immediately given out Sabu's number and told fans to ask him why he wasn't showing

reminds me of Pat Buck doing this to Sid in 2012

  14. Fightful reports Matt Hardy is officially a free agent.

"He'd been in talks to remain with AEW, but his contract expired at midnight and he's said he chose to not sign a deal offered to him."
