  1. I always look forward to Hard Knocks premiering !  Even if it is the Lions.

On another note, Paycor is my time card manager for my side hustle as  a Boys and GIRLS CLUB after school tutor.

Instead of NEW JL, looks like they may put Superman's Son and Damian and Yara with the JSA instead.

I like that idea, put the legacy heroes with the OGs .  Good mentors for the youngsters.

  3. That new JLA looks interesting, needs a  "heavy hitter" in it though.  Why do we have to have Harley Quinn in everything?  Killer Frost (?), I am ok with.  Plus Damien (even though he is becoming a favorite in the Batman family) isn't really a Justice League type guy.

I’m surprised it took this long for a wrestler to turn six fanny packs into one pair of pants.

I guess the 90's nostalgia wave is happening.  That outfit is the Rob Leifield Youngblood level of pouches.

  5. I read The Heroin Diaries: A Year in the Life of a Shattered Rock Star by Nikki Sixx for a Bourbon and Book Club that I have with some friends (truthfully not interested in Bourbon one bit but the snacks are good ).  Currently reading  the Bret Hart biography as well as Hell's Angels: The Strange and Terrible Saga of the Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs  by Hunter S. Thompson (figured this was a good enough spot to start a dive unto the world of HST and Gonzo journalism).

My daughter bought me these books this past Father's Day:

I am about halfway through Volume One.  I remember OSJ making fun of me for not owning some of the high fantasy novels that I was familiar with through casual reading as a youth. "A man without a well-seasoned library is not a man," he'd say.  I am slowly correcting that injustice.  The memories of our conversations are bittersweet.   I miss my old friend every day.

My copy of BleakWarrior is on the way. ?  I can now give my brother his copy back.

I need to add these to my collection as well.  I am glad they are super accessible in this format.

I keep seeing these WWE Remco-style figures at Wal-Mart...why is the Bray Wyatt fig dressed as the mad hatter?  Did he do that as a one-off gimmick or is it just a fun design they decided to do?

Maybe it was necessary because The Fiend is too creepy Bray Wyatt's original gear looked like a chubby Miami hobo?

They are the offshoot of the Masters of the WWE Universe figures that "married" the He-Man/WWE franchises.  They made some fun figures.  They stopped that line and just started making a WWE Superstars line in the same aesthetic.  Here is the first Bray Wyatt figure they made.Master-of-the-WWE-Universe-Bray-Wyatt-00

  8. Anyone watching Ranking Of Kings?  I got a CrunchyRoll streaming sub when it was offered on XBox Live, and never did anything with it.  But I am captivated by the show.  It is charming , has a very interesting fantasy story setting, and I like the "old fashioned" art style,

Alan Grant has passed. Many a good yarn was written by him. His most mainstream stuff was probably 2000AD and a nice run with Bbatman at DC where he creaed Anarky with Norm Breyfogle

MudPack is probably my favorite of the Grant/Breyfogle Batman stories that sticks out as one of my favorites.  I also enjoyed the fun he had with Lobo and The Demon.

I wonder if Dalton would be willing to do the Dustin/QT route, help train folk and wrestle a match every once in a while.  That would probably give him time to heal up some more while still being relevant.

    This right here. ^

I loved the sauce out of that Dalton & Gresham match.  I thoroughly enjoyed the whole Battle of The Belts 2 special.

Brad Anderson (The Machinist, Session 9) is the director for E7 of Peacemaker.

    YES~!

Gunn's Peacemaker is the John Cena vehicle that I didn't know I needed in my life.  A touch of comedy, a little ultra violence, and even a little bit of heart to tie it up.

I am so on the fence about seeing The Batman in theaters,  Doesn't feel like I need to rush out and see it (especially at that running time).  I will stream it with the convenience of pausing to break it up a bit.

Holy shit we binged watched all ten episodes in two days and it was crazy.  Loved it.  Favorite character is Misty (but I may be biased, my wife's name is Misty).

I'm thinking there's some supernatural stuff going on, but I like that it's kinda hard to tell.  Thanks for the recommendation!!!

I have finally found someone who appreciates Yellowjackets as much as I do.  My wife said I was fangirling when I was giving her updates on my binge watch, I started watching it about 6 episodes in.

Resonates with me as a high schooler in the mid 90's.  I played Soccer as well as having coached some High School Women's Soccer , I can totally relate to it.
