    Twin Peaks

http://www.indiewire.com/2017/09/twin-peaks-ending-explained-answers-part-18-finale-david-lynch-1201872863/ Gonna have to rewatch but I think I loved the finale. Can't stop thinking about it anyways, article I've linked is a nice summation for those who want it.
  2. I refuse to believe that, in a league of 30 teams, the best player you could acquire for Taylor Hall is Adam fricking Larsson. Awful, awful trade.
  3. Leafs are playing worse and worse and yet they can't stop winning. Pain is indeed coming when we just miss the playoffs and end up picking 12th.
  4. Morgan Rielly seems to be progressing nicely all things considered. He's a magnificent skater and is starting to put up points consistently on a rather offensively starved Leafs team but the big question mark is his defensive play which still has a ways to go. Babcock seems real excited by him but yeah, as with a lot of guys in this draft, there's still more questions than answers at this point. He's definitely one of the few bright points on this years Leafs which is admittedly pretty faint praise.
  5. Anaheim signs Ryan Kesler to an outrageous extension. Six year, 6.875 aav, he'll be 38 at that point.
  6. There isn't a hell of a lot left to trade if rumours are to be believed. It sounds like Phaneuf is being given an opportunity to impress Babcock/other teams for part of next season so he's not going anywhere this summer and guys like Kadri/Rielly/Gardiner are seen as young/good enough to be part of the rebuild. The only ones people are mentioning are Bozak and Lupul both of which are gonna be very difficult to move. The two players I'd have looked at are Bernier and JVR. Both are 26 which, for a team looking at a 3-5 rebuild, could make you expendable based on how old they'd be by the time things get turned around. JVR has a great contract and there was a pretty strong goalie market which isn't always the case. Probably could have got some good value there. Then you're pretty much left with a bunch of placeholders on one/two year deals that I'd hope would be flipped for picks if they were to catch fire next season. Shanahan has continually stressed patience so it wouldn't surprise me at all if things get pretty quiet in a hurry.
  7. In terms of righting the wrongs of the previous regime this has actually been a great year for the Leafs. We're gonna get a good draft pick to go with Rielly, Nylander and Kadri so there's some potential at least going forward plus we've rid ourselves of the management/coaching staff who got us in this mess. Gonna be a newsworthy summer by the looks of it, just hope it doesn't end up like 2013 did.
  8. I've got three discs left but I'll try my best to get it done by the weekend.
  9. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yNfwfJ7aRPI Good times.
  10. He was blatantly stood in the blue paint, even your own coach admitted it was the correct decision.
  11. Superb match, the one thing I like most in a match is its ability to tell a story and this one is beautifully told. Mocha has been a revelation on this set and he's at his best here, Rocca more than holds his own too for that matter. Top ten candidate.
  12. Not much more you can add to what's already been said. I saw this a couple of weeks back and, five discs in, there's only one other match at this level. This is everything you want from a hair match, Chicana's selling is some of the best I've ever seen, same for his punches. This isn't just one of the best 80s lucha matches, its one of the best matches of all time.
  13. I was hoping to see a bit more matwork as we see with the stuff from recent years with Navarro etc. You shouldn't judge a match based on what you want it to be though and there's still plenty to like about it. However you can't help but get the feel that this is a middling trios you'd be able to see most weeks at Arena Mex around this time. The postmatch has a good amount of intensity to be fair but I was hoping for more.
  14. The Perro-Chicano match we saw as part of that four-way match was great but this was on a whole other level. For a fan-cam the camerawork is terrific and its cool to hear how loud the crowd is too. But the match itself is beyond great, both men brought it from the get go and the finish was perfect. I've got it neck and neck with Sangre-MS1 for #1.

  19. Kessel is a crazy underrated set-up guy. You look at the passing ability he displayed last season, and in years previous, and it's easy to see he's more than just a sniper. He's also improved a ton on his back checking, he's no Datsyuk in that regard but he's hardly a liability either. He still has the stretches where he can't score but he was still integral to the team and put up a bunch of assists during that time. The age he is, the shot he has and the all round game to go with it makes it a good deal for me.
