  1. Not WWE breaking up The IIconics, just to place them in other tag teams. ? I hope they don't saddle Billie with Natalya the way they have Peyton with Lacey Evans. That said, I will accept Billie bringing in a few Down Under girls from nxt (any combination of Rhea, Dakota, Toni, Indi) to form a stable, thanks.
  2. Bayley has lost every match she's been in since the title loss, including being first out at Survivor Series. This has to be leading to something right? That she can't win without cheating/without Sasha? That she's lost self-esteem? That she needs the fans' support back? That she's gonna go into some delusional character that won't acknowledge the losses, only the long title reign? Or none of those things and it's just classic WWE booking?
  3. Prichard talked about that on his podcast. He confirmed that it was definitely true but he said it was more like 1993 or 94. I suppose it's possible he was left the money in like 93-94 and didn't get the payout until 96-97 if some family protested it, sort of like the Anna Nicole Smith deal.
  4. I still think Charlotte is the favorite (eyeroll) but Bayley needs to win so she can main event mania against Sasha, and also so she can join Asuka as a super Grand Slam champion.
  5. I also questioned it. Not for its content, just for the delivery. It's a full-on promo. Having said that, I did share it with some friends because it is funny and the message is legit.
  6. Yes, but who will be put to shame when they have THE GREATEST WRESTLING MATCH EVER (tm)? I was on the fence about buying DON (bought it 2 minutes before it started) but I'm glad I did. The Stadium Stampede was everything I want out of wrestling. I also liked the ladder match and am hoping for good things from Brian Cage. Shida winning felt like perfect timing to give someone their moment, something WWE is the worst at, so that was refreshing.
  7. I'm still trying to understand why they'd want to split one of two female tag teams they have apart. Their value is together but this is WWE so I don't know why I'm questioning it.
  8. Regarding the Revival stuff, I think it's conceivable that the leak came from someone in creative. I work for a big corporation and I go in every day and do whatever they tell me, but I hate that company and the way they do business. I just need a job to live my life. I assume there are creative types that work for WWE that see some of the silly shit they're asked to do and feel sympathy for the boys and/or simply loathe the bosses.
  9. I've always wondered what the hell the deal with Mr Juicy is. Like...does he own that promotion or something?
  10. Billie Kay/Jessie McKay has a few good Madison Eagles Shimmer matches, as mentioned earlier, Vol 35 is a really fantastic 20 minute match. I like her Nicole Matthews matches as well, the Vol 33 is my favorite. One of her early Shimmer matches is against Del Rey and she looks good in that. She also has a few Asuka/Kana matches that are better than anything Billie has had a chance to do in WWE/NXT. She was a white meat babyface for her Shimmer run, way over with the crowd and had a decent set of moves, most of which she has never done in wwe. Her alternate finisher, a sit-out uranage, was nice but again, I don't recall ever even seeing her do it in nxt/wwe. I don't think it's fair to compare her work prior to wwe with her post-wwe work since it doesn't seem she's been given much of a chance to display her strengths, for whatever reason. Peyton was really unfinished before she was signed and I'd say she's markedly improved. Her work in Australia that I've seen was pretty bad. I think she's fine now and is still young enough that she can improve if they give her more opportunities to wrestle instead of just do chickenshit heel stalling and bullshit.
  11. Someone told me they broke up, I took a quick scroll through her (and nazi girl's) instagrams and it looked like all pictures of them together were gone from both. Good for her, if so.
  12. Too bad Nicole Matthews can't work in America. I'd love to have seen her in a major promotion. Also, maybe Goldust can get involved behind the scenes whenever he is available. It's criminal not to have his creative mind being put to use.
  13. I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere but I'm in Jacksonville and the day they're doing the big rally at the stadium is the same day WWE is running a live (televised) Smackdown literally across the parking lot, at the arena. Perfect timing: the rally starts at 5pm, the Smackdown is at 8pm. There will be tons of fans in that area. I'm going to the Smackdown so I will for sure head across to the stadium a little earlier. Also would love to be a fly-on-the-wall at WWE's shows this weekend when they tell all Smackdown talent they're forbidden from heading across the street before work. Is there any expectations about where Double or Nothing will be held? Jacksonville seems like too small of a market to do a show like that. The name and imagery implies Vegas but All-In could have fallen under that umbrella as well and it was in Chicago.
  14. I'm not a Fulham fan so I'm no expert on the matter, but I do know Tony Khan is the Khan that took a hands-on role with them starting with when they were in the 2nd division of English football and now they're in Premier League so I'd assume he hired the right guys for the job there and that takes money so clearly they're not afraid to spend. I think he wouldn't be getting involved in this if he wasn't prepared to spend money and listen to the wrestler's (ie the Elite) opinions. Even if it ends up being a bust I don't think we'll be looking back and thinking they didn't make a real go of it. I think that's what I've been craving as a wrestling fan: someone to come in and actually make a captivating product.
