  1. If you only want to pick between those two, I'd go for the May show (Sold Our Soul for Rock n Roll). The March show was Mystery Vortex II, which is what they name their shows when shit gets all changed up due to injuries, etc, and they don't even announce a card. To me, MV2 ended up being a mixed bag and there was no intrigue in the main event because you knew they weren't putting the belt on Candice LeRae. If you want to go back a little further, last year's TEN might be a good start. Yeah, I've been recommended that for a starting point a few times. I think this is something I would want to slowly chip away at until I get caught up which may take a year or two, so I might be better starting closer and then snagging those shows along the way once I get to current releases after the pocketbook death that will be getting BOLA's 3 nights together.
  2. PWG Sells Out 1,2, and 3. Each set is a triple disk collection of the best of PWG history. I don't think those comps are easy to come by anymore. I know Randy made me a comp back in like 05-06ish of PWG's early stuff on VHS. (Hey, remember the tail end of tape trading still being a thing?)
  3. They work the same way that the Codex does in Mass Effect; they provide backstory and mythology for the game world. I am a sucker for stuff like that sort of thing. I think that Rippa and I are going to form a fireteam and do the first Old Russia mission on Monday night. We will go through the area with a fine tooth comb. No Dead Ghost or Gold Chest will escape our notice. Stakes will be high. If we can get through the mission without dying, that is like two or three achievements unlocked at the same time. Hopefully Mark will be online so we can get a Holy Trinity fireteam. Not if it's between 1500-0200. You need to hurry up and join team PS4.
  4. I'm thinking about finally picking up some PWG shows. The thing I do like about the promotion is that it's one of the more inexpensive indies to follow due to ten shows a year. I do not like their shipping cost, but that's a minor gripe. What is a good starting point at this point without spending too much to catch up? I was thinking of just either starting with the March or May show.
  5. I've really been yearning for an updated Crazy Taxi or a proper port of the original. The other releases seem to be flawed in some way.
  6. For me 27, in the Wiregrass area feels too old and too young. I'm too old for what constitutes as fun in Dothan, and I'm too young for retirement haha.
  7. It's been awhile, but I remember Atomic Bomb being an okay album.
  8. It's about as hit and miss as their last couple of albums.
  9. So U2 Randomly released their new album for free on iTunes today. http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/u2-surprise-album-songs-of-innocence-apple-itunes-free-20140909
  10. I've been waiting to get on the FITBIT and GPS Running Watch craze until Apple announced their new crazy watch device. They announced it today. It sounds really good for their first outing, but that price tag is a bit insane. $349
  11. How do you even begin to respond to that. You link him to the match he had with Danielson at Final Battle 03? That was a great, regular wrestling match.
  12. Actually protecting the belt goes back to Gabe. It ultimately makes sense if you what ROH and the title to be seen above everything else. Is ROH really viewed as the Cream of the Crop independent promotion anymore? I tend to see more raving about PWG these last few years than ROH.
  13. I think part of my enjoyment of the Leftovers is the polarity it insights in people. I have really enjoyed this season. There have been some clunkers, but the good episodes of TV have been fantastic episodes of TV. I really enjoyed the messiness of last night. It built perfectly to what we saw in the last 20 minutes, which was just brilliantly shot chaos and the first sense of hope that this series has given the viewers. Also, the scene with Nora early into the episode was powerful, heartbreaking stuff.
  14. Thanks for the heads up. I'll have to do the same thing before it expires.
  15. In a broad sense, it's very similar to nazism. Hitler wanted to kill anyone he deemed to not be a perfect being. ISIS is an extremist sect of a religion that believes that it is their life's mission to take out all infidels. Without getting into politics, we have been battling some form of terrorism in official capacity for 13 years now. Have we ever seen an enemy that seems to become more emboldened when different sects of it are basically made a non-factor?
  16. People are going to overreact about Kenny Hill. A&M looked solid against a really bad SC team. You can tell that Spurrier realized he had nothing when his only offensive playcalling was comparable of that of an overmatched Madden player. Just through the deep ball and pray someone catches it.
  17. I finally wised up and skipped Jericho's intro. I enjoyed part one of the Batista interview as he came off as very mellow and humble through the whole thing. It was also interesting hearing him talk about how it was bullcrap and not believable that WWE did not want Daniel Bryan to sell his injuries the night after Wrestlemania. I also liked that they spent a lot of time just focusing on their shared interests in general as opposed to going wrestling heavy. It was a quick, easy interview.
  18. I keep telling myself that I'm just going to completely skip his intros because they are awful, but I never do it. I am a glutton for punishment.
  19. The nWo bit last night was full of revisionist history. They used soundboard pieces that Bischoff stated back in 2002, which Bischoff has even sense changed his story on the matter (i.e. Sting being the Third Man. It was ALWAYS going to be Hulk). Also, they stated that both Hall and Nash kept the company afloat until they left. Nash oversaw the worst house gates,TV ratings, and PPV Buyrates the WWF had seen during his year long reign as champion.
  20. Well the DEAN I knew would throw a grenade of a Mark Steyn column up and rub it in to the pussies who couldn't cope with it. ;P P.S. Please don't ban me. I like Steyn's sense of humor when he hosts certain radio shows. I'll leave it at that.
  21. Going on a run on the day after Leg day will always suck.
  22. Wasn't the guy that played in Braxton's place last year pretty solid? I can't imagine he was a senior. Food for thought.
  23. There's still a strong possibility that tOSU will be undefeated heading into the B1G championship game. Their schedule is still one of the more laughable things in college football.
  24. After this latest episode, I am thinking that The Leftovers may have jumped the inevitable shark. I guess time will tell, but I'm just not sure where things are going after this week.
  25. Will Jim Ross please quit pitching himself to Sonic? It's just annoying now.
