  1. I'd go Naito, Okada, Shingo, Ibushi, and ZSJ (would have had Suzuki on that list originally, and super happy to have seen his AEW debut in person). Unlike many others, I would be cool with Ospreay, but would guess that the majority of fans may not be.
  2. Yes, he is married to the Bellas' mom. I'd love to hear the wrestling discussions between Bryan and Ace, cause their visions of wrestling are diametrically opposite of each other.
  3. I still have Young Bucks-Lucha Brothers All Out match as the #1 match in 2021, and the one I would go beyond five stars for. I could easily argue that Danielson's three big matches (Omega, Suzuki, Kingston) are 2-4, but I think that the tag match is bit more memorable long-term.
  4. Really fun show on the whole, and the main event is everything I love about professional wrestling all wrapped up into one match (zaniness with the costumes, great action in the ring, and advancing a years long story with Hangman outsmarting the Elite). After not seeing Hangman win the title in person at All Out, had to make the trip to the Twin Cities to see what will be AEW's finest moment in its history.
  5. If you really want something resembling an Orton type big match wrestler, just bring Okada over full-time to lend gravitas to the main event scene (not that it needs it in all honestly). While I'll admit to Okada to being a bit stale in New Japan now (kind of emblematic of the New Japan product as whole), he'd still be way over for the AEW audience and cool to have him over here for a couple of years.
  6. Cody's current character has become terribly stale, and he really needs a character refresh at this point. However, he was really good for most of the first-year plus in AEW, and you have to balance the rough 2021 with the mostly excellent 2019 and 2020. Also, despite what the self-proclaimed millionaire protests, Malakai Black is fine long-term in AEW and still plenty over with the crowd. I'm interesting to see how a partnership with Andrade works, but think that be in the semi-main event/main event picture for awhile.
  7. The Inner Circle formed on the first Dynamite back in 2019, and were pretty closely aligned up until the summer (when Sammy became part of the story with his real-life friend Fuego del Sol and Miro, and Santana and Ortiz did their own thing for a month or so in the tag division). Jericho started winning ring jackets with spikes on them during his New Japan run, and also used the spike to stab Moxley in his eye during their AEW title feud in 2019-2020.
  8. I'd go one further, and have a six man with Punk/Sting/Darby against MJF/Wardlow/Spears (with Spears naturally eating the pinfall/submission). And tonight still confirmed to me that even if in a company that now has Danielson and Punk, Hangman is the biggest star in the company. He's really good at blending some old school and new school style elements in the ring, and his current character is as relatable to 2021 wrestling fans as Austin was to late 90's fans.
  9. While AEW has been very by the book with results, it actually wouldn't stun me if Dark Order won this one (revenge for the elimination match, and positive momentum for Hangman, possibly with Hangman thwarting Super Elite interference).
  10. I love Suzuki and seeing him live was an all-time wrestling highlight. That said, he's 53 and not exactly at the top of New Japan cards these days either (and has been out of 2 of last 3 G1's), so I wouldn't expect him to be beating top AEW names either. It's smart to capitalize on his positive name value here, but I do not expect him to be challenging for any titles in AEW in 2021 (now if AEW existed five years ago, it would be a different story).
  11. I think that Hangman and Brodie would have feuded, with Silver and Reynolds liking siding with Hangman.
  12. I can confirm one better, one the normal women's bathrooms at the NOW Arena was designated a men's room for All Out.
  13. Close, Harley Race (Vader's manager) accidentally hit Rude with a chair at Spring Stampede 1994 to cost Rude the International Title. I believe that Rude and Vader were scheduled to meet at Slamboree '94 before Rude got hurt in Japan, and Rude was the quasi-face in the abrupted feud.
  14. It's definitely more feasible now with the WWE Network primarily being on Peacock and that being one part of a huge streaming library. Also, I could see TK and especially Cody pushing for it and willing to pay an amount like that (and it ever came to fruition, you'd never hear me utter a bad word about Cody again, though I'm already sympathetic to him to begin with).
  15. I was half-awake during the first viewing of Sammy-Miro, but saw Sammy winning and thought it was cool. After re-watching it, it's an awesome match and was really well built throughout the match to lead up to that finish. For most of the match, it looked like Miro would retain again, but Sammy survived the big thrust kick and evaded Game Over, and Miro lost it after that. Not quite among the all-time greatest AEW matches (though that's a really fucking high bar to clear already), but an excellent TV main event and well worth taking the title of a hot performer (and it's big to win a title in AEW, especially with the current stacked roster). On the whole, it was a strong follow-up to the epic Grand Slam week, and started advancing programs and wrestlers for future big events. I could see this being start the FTR push for the titles again (and the heel tag team side is a bit thin with just them and the Bucks as legitimate contenders for a PPV match at the moment).
  16. My ultimate dream would be to liberate the JCP/WCW library from Vince and bring them back home.
  17. With their already excellent library, AEW needs to partner up with HBO Max or maybe even start their own streaming platform (though HBO Max makes more sense because of the built in Warner partnership to limit costs). I thankfully still had the awesome Dynamite from Atlanta on the DVR and popped that on today, and man that last hour was amazing with the end of Moxley-Cobb and Darby's return to a huge pop, the great tag title match of Kenny/Hangman against the Lucha Brothers, and Cody looking like the biggest star in wrestling in the cage match against Wardlow (and damn that MJF feud was awesome until the actual match, and Cody really should have won a return match or just won the original match to begin with). On the Cody note, while it's in vogue to shit on him now and he's brought plenty of it on himself, I still think there's plenty of money in him with a heel turn and then a possible face turn down the road (follow the path of Britt). On the whole, AEW is unquestionably a hotter product now with their numerous all-star additions in recent months, but damn AEW was still super hot right before the pandemic and has been the top promotion in the world since the jump (though a bit top heavy in first few months before guys like Darby, Jungle Boy, and Orange Cassidy got hot and stayed hot).
  18. The Triple Threat AEW title match at Double or Nothing and Kenny Omega vs. Christian on the debut Rampage are somewhere on the list for me. Also, while it may not be on the list, the Lucha Brothers-Jurassic Express number one contenders match at the Milwaukee rampage is a strong honorable mention.
  19. Yes, I've became a big fan of the Tekkers also (and think they should have been tag champions this entire calendar year), but they would be well down the list of AEW tag teams behind Bucks, Lucha Brothers, Santana and Ortiz, FTR, Best Friends when they're healthy, and right with Jurassic Express
  20. I would not be stunned if three of the four (Charlotte, Sasha, and Bayley) end up in AEW at some point within the next few years.
  21. Total opposite of that myself, he is exact type of wrestler I would be good with AEW adding at the upper part of his card (him and Sami Zayn/El Generico). Great in the ring and on the mic, and equally adept as a face or heel.
  22. Full Gear has been moved from November 6th to November 13th besides of the Canelo fight and UFC event on the 6th.
  23. Roster management will be a challenge, but at the same time, you want to keep thing fresh and also keep the fans tuning in for surprises and unexpected moments (which does not always have to be new guys coming in). Also, TK made this point in the post-match scrum, but not every addition needs to be an upper card/main eventer. Smart additions like 2.0 are also key to completing your roster (and those guys have been fucking awesome, and also seem like really cool guys from Jericho's podcast and a segment on Colt's show at the All Out kick out party).
  24. Yes, it was abut Tessa, and the no we don't people far outweighed the We Want Tessa people.
