So TNA pulled off their biggest swerve (to me at least) in the main event by not having a swerve.
Really? I expected EY to win in the main event because this isn't the sort of occasion where TNA would swerve. They'd wait to build him up more and make him look like he is on the cusp of great things before pulling a swerve that takes the title from him.

So, I read a new DC comic for first time since, I think, Forever Evil #2 (which feels like years ago, somehow)
Flash #30.
So, Wally's first New 52 appearance confirms both what had been suspected (his race has been changed, which bothers me not a bit) and what I expected (it is, at least as of right now, Wally in name only. Will be a teenager 5 years from now, clearly no Linda, no twins, and presumably was never the Flash) which means my interest is pretty much back down to just above zero.
I kind of wonder
If Linda and the kids are so important to your idea of the core of Wally West's character that it would have ruined him for you if they had decided to make him gay in the name of diversity?
I wrote a lot about this basic point a while back in this thread, but I'm attached to the incredible, and more or less unprecedented in big corporate IP comics, character development that turned Wally into such a complex, fascinating character. Linda and the twins are a major part of that. It's not so much an attachment to them as it is to the entire package. Wally isn't just the name, or even the basic personality traits, it's that he was actually developed into that character. And it's gone, and they painted themselves into a corner where it basically can't exist anymore with the fucking stupid New 52, which after an initial sales bump, they are now not really doing any better than they were before the reboot. Which is why I have all but completely stopped reading DC, because it just breaks my heart to generally dislike what is being done with what was for 20 some years my favorite retreat in fiction.
Their long-term plans are to have:
Black teen Wally West become romantically involved with forty-something transgendered Asian Linda (formerly Lee) Park. Eventually, they get married and adopt a Native American boy and a Hispanic girl, nicknamed "the Twins" since they coincidentally were born on the same day.
Plans are held up while they decide which character they will also stick in a wheelchair. They are also considering making one twin a Muslim and the other a Wiccan.

I'm expecting Larry Flynt to come through with an offer for $1 million to Sterling's girlfriend if she is willing to star in a porn movie where she gets gangbanged by a bunch of black dudes. He has a history of getting a ton of free press by publicly offering money for people like Casey Anthony to pose nude or appear in porn.

Have a Wargames with Evolution vs Bryan/Shield. Flair says he can't wrestle anymore but has a Wargames veteran and close, personal friend who can take his place with Evolution. The lights go out and....It's Sting!. Sting enters last and turns on Evolution as payback for all the times Flair turned on him. Eventually, Sting beats HHH in a singles match with a spot that has Sting swing a baseball bat at HHH's sledgehammer and the two weapons are gimmicked to shatter, leading to a run by Sting as a face authority figure.

I've been pretty vocal about not wanting to see Sting wrestle in WWE because it would ruin his legacy as the main guy who didn't work for Vince, but I wouldn't mind a segment where he is allowed to stand tall in the ring after fighting off Evolution one-on-three when they come to interrupt an interview pimping a DVD set.

either Tywin or Joffrey - It's time to shakeup King's Landing. Tywin would do the most to throw things into utter chaos but it has to be time, right for Joffrey, right? In retrospect it was idiotic to think Tywin would be killed. I just had this vision of Jaime being way less of a mopey (and now rapey) schmuck when he returned and clashing with the old man. But, man, no one is touching Tywin accept maybe Oberyn.

At the risk of being inflammatory, why are people trying to make a distinction between "racist" and "old guy racist"? Dude said something completely fucking racist. It doesn't matter if he is old, crazy, rich, or whatever other qualifier we can throw out there. It's not a product of a different time or any other such nonsense. It's just flat out racism. We shouldn't paint it as eccentric or lovable, which is what ends up happening when we use terms that make Donald Sterling, known moron/racist/awful human being, seem like a Bert Cooper from last weeks Mad Men.
I don't watch Mad Men. Are you calling this Bert Cooper character an eccentric or lovable racist to differentiate him from an awful human being racist like Donald Sterling?

Nene is suspended.
Nene's actions were a black eye for the league but Sterling's comments are A-Okay.
Nene's actions were something with clear precedent and no ambiguity as to how they should have been dealt with. Sterling's case is more complicated and probably requires having lawyers look through bylaws and operating agreements before determining a course of action.

1996 Ahmed Johnson OR 2007 Bobby Lashley(who placed 9th)?
Well, there's an obligatory Davey Richards joke in there, although the guy I like the least who placed that high is probably Rhino.
Anyways, Ahmed Johnson was a guy who looked like what expected from a professional wrestler. I want to say that the vibe I got from him at the time was "black Ultimate Warrior".

So your an NBA coach at half time your teams 1-10 on 3pts shots and trailing...at what point do you tell your players next asshole who shoots a 3 gets benched?
If they are just missing three-point shots that you usually want them to take, such as uncontested attempts from spots on the floor where they normally make threes at a high percentage, then you tell them to keep taking good shots and they will eventually fall. If they are taking a lot of low-percentage shots with a hand in their face instead of passing the ball, you're an idiot if you waited until halftime to make your feelings know.
