I would have went with "Brie's acting is so bad it must not fool Bryan at all if she fakes it."
Brie's acting is so bad that her idea of faking it is to just lay there.

The thing about Daniel Bryan's rise was the crowd really pushing back against WWE creative. The shittier storyline/situation Bryan found himself in, the louder the crowd got in support of him.
This Bryan/Kane stuff really feels like WWE seeing how far they can push that. "Okay motherfuckers, try THIS one on for size..."
The long-term booking plan is to have Daniel Bryan main event Wrestlemania as a heel next year.
-
If Brie is just showing the same emotional range while acting that she has in real life, she better hope she never gets raped, because no one is going to believe her story.
Jesus...who says something like this??
Someone who wants to try something new instead of going with a "heavy hand" joke.

Was anyone else kind of expecting the engine to be magically gone and for Kane to pop out from under the hood?
Does the longer walk from the entrance to the ring make Adam Rose's entrance drag on too long?
Does Zeb's deportation list mean that he will get a female charge? Maybe AJ can return and join his stable and feud with Paige, Emma, and Natalya.
The crowd did not like Ziggler being eliminated by Santino.
Lana should talk about how Putin is humiliating "your black president", leading to Mark Henry-Rusev feud.

Doing Hack-A-Shaq in the 3rd quarter has to be a low point in your NBA coaching career
You mean like in this game?

I don't think anything she said was controversial, it is just a "slippery slope" type of routine. A lot of people are going to watch that and think because a Black woman is on tv talking about how she would have had it good as a slave, that means they can talk about how good Blacks had it as slaves - which is a no-no. Like, how would NBC react if Matt Lauer said he thought Blacks had it pretty sweet back in the slave days?
It falls in the same category of people who think they can use the N-word, just because they saw a random Black person use the N-word. Some people cannot, or refuse, to see the difference.
And those people are morons. We can't go around moron-proofing society.

Due to all the complaints, ESPN has cancelled plans to have her wear a gold bikini next year.

3MB will be rewarded with a shocking win over the Shield due to Evolution interference, before getting destroyed in a rematch the following week.

Mike D'Antoni to the Warriors seems like a real possibility. That would be fun.
As ineffective as his last two stops have been, that still sounds like a decent idea.
D'Antoni coaches offense well and the Warriors have the type of players that would fit his system. Bogut is injured so often, that he might not be around enough to hate D'Antoni. I would be surprised if they hired him though when there seem to be so many other alternatives.
Wouldn't his system require a roster with more than two players who can hit a three?
He would have Steph Curry and Klay Thompson. He didn't have anyone at that level in either NY or LA.
Well, he did have Steve Novak for one season....

Imagine John Cena feuding with the Wyatts over trying to protect the soul of David Benoit.

We can question how well the execution is going, but I could accept the story premise that:
a) Bray Wyatt can only defeat John Cena if he gets into his head
b ) Bray Wyatt can get into John Cena's head in a way that no one else has before
c) The feud ends when Wyatt learns how to beat Cena without mind games or Cena learns to become immune
I could see a realistic ending to the feud being Cena getting Luke Harper to turn on Bray, a Harper-Wyatt singles feud, and the winner getting a strong singles push out of it. The problem with CM Punk's Straight Edge Society was that there was no one who could break away from it. A stable like the Wyatts is the sort of group dynamic that the conventions of the wrestling genre scream out to have a guy turn face by trying to become his own man. I think we can all agree that if they do that, then Harper is more worthy than Rowan.

In theory, we could have the Lakers pick what we want and then we get that player after the draft.
There's no fucking way you give up a lottery pick in this particular draft for a coach though.
You can't trade a player for a coach, as the Doc Rivers saga showed. I suspect that draft rights would be treated the same way as a contracted player and you could only offer cash or future picks as compensation for poaching a coach.

The WWC version of a Wargames match. To eliminate a member of the opposite team you had to handcuff them to the cage wall....and then beat the ever living shit out of them because it's Puerto Rico...
Is that where TNA got the idea for the Cuffed in the Cage match?
TNA was always adding additional stips to Lockdown matches for variety. Electrified Six Sides of Steel. The Doomsday Chamber of Blood, where you had to make your opponent bleed before you could pin him.

A big problem they haven't really solved with the Wyatt's gimmick is how to end feuds. There is nothing about them that would be satisfied with merely winning a match (although they've done a hell of a job trying to make the analogy with Cena between winning/losing a match and winning/losing faith).
But there's always this problem. If they lose the blowoff...there is no reason for them to go away. And if they win, then what? They made Kane disappear but then he turned up as a corporate shill, totally unrelated to them. It's so hard to know what is exactly at stake. They sort of lucked into being able to tie the half/half reactions Cena gets to them and that is something. But they've never really been able to "do" something terrible to someone they've targeted. And when they've been beaten (as by Bryan) they just immediately jump to another feud (which is what a wrestler does, not what an apocalyptic madman does).
If there is a way they could continue to target babyfaces and suck their heat away, that could be something. Like, you don't want Bray targeting you because he will turn you heel and drain your merch sales! Like maybe send them after babyfaces with weaker support, and each time the Wyatt's get more popular and the person they've targeted loses their fans and slinks off now being booed instead of cheered...Then when they are getting huge face pops, have them try to do that against Bryan.
It would be a pretty abstract idea for a feud but could lead to some epic crowd moments between Bray and Bryan.
I like how you assume the Wyatts will always stay together and that they will remain as heels.

It's similar to Stephen Colbert talking about the Ching-Chong Ding-Dong Foundation for Sensitivity to Orientals or Whatever.

I'm not sure how that validates the views of Cliven Bundy. On the other hand, I can see how it would rustle the jimmies of some white people.
-
Wouldn't someone like Cliven Bundy in the news be the best time for an Update segment like that?
-
Leslie Jones was one of the new writer hires in January. That seemed like a stand-up bit that was worked into an Update segment. She seemed a bit nervous, but it was great. Overall, this was a great show.

Forgive me if I am misremembering, but didn't the Hawks lose in seven to the Celtics the year they won the title and there was some controversy about Celtics players not being suspended for leaving the bench? I want to say it was Garnett.
There was an incident with Garnett. Both Kendrick Perkins and Marvin Williams took a step onto the court to get a better look, but neither got involved. They were not suspended despite some fans thinking they might be.
I don't recall any suspension for leaving the bench which has involved explicitly defining the "vicinity of the bench" as ending where the court begins.
-
Stu Jackson tweeted that he thought George did not leave the vicinity of the bench and that he thinks Rasual Butler will get a suspension, but not George.
It's pretty reasonable to rule that the "vicinity of the bench" includes a couple of steps away from the bench and doesn't end where the court begins. If it does end there, there's a screencap going around which suggests that some Hawks may have stepped over the line.
-
How would the people whining about a weak East react if the Hawks had a miracle run to the NBA title?
-
Well Fitz and Ward bonded and he became like his big brother.
Yeah, it's just that Fitz's "I'm throwing stuff around and EMOTING" thing came off as an eye-roller to me. It was the execution, not the fact that Fitz was hurt and betrayed. (Actually I don't recall all that much of a bond between Fitz and Ward -- just that one episode where they did the mission together -- but whatever. That's not what I was getting at).
It didn't bother me because that is totally how I might react.
-
I wouldn't be shocked if Ward killed Garrett and took over his role in Hydra. Next season, Hydra and what is left of SHIELD are occasionally forced to work together to prepare for a greater threat.

If you're going to go with references to shows that have been off the air for a decade, JBL saying that Zeb Coulter doesn't like bunnies, leading to Brian Fowler spooging because he made a Buffy connection in his mind is right there.
