  1. Woj mentioned Randle might need foot surgery, Randle said it wasn't true. Could be interesting to see where he lands on draft night if its a serious injury or one of those "injuries". I like Randle, but that is worrisome.

I don't even get why this is a big deal.  Woj says teams expect him to have surgery to remove a metal screw that was put in when he was in high school.  This sounds like minor surgery taken as a precaution, not as a sign of recurring foot problems.

  2. Will Lebron appear to give up in the last game of the series just as he seemed to give up in his last series as a Cav, prompting rumors that he is thinking of taking his talents out of South Beach?

  3.

I don't know if anyone else suggested this, but they could go by the European Union. Of course since it's WWE, they'd eventually abbreviate it to the EU, but it'd still be awesome.

Not only has it been suggested, but it's an idea that has been around since Regal was in WCW in the late 90's. Possibly the most fantasy booked suggestion in IWC history outside of a Cena turn.

Does Magnus, Douglas Williams, and Rob Terry as the British Invasion count as TNA doing it first?  Would it make sense for Drew McIntyre to join Magnus and Bram (formerly Kenneth Cameron of the Ascension before being released after legal problems, for those who don't watch TNA)?  Would TNA doing it make you hate WWE appearing to copy them?

  4. I'm guessing if this absurd idea came to pass that Melo would buy in to not being a selfish fucker. He wouldn't be stuck with Felton, JR, and Bargs anymore as teammates so he wouldn't have to shoot every time he touches the ball. Maybe having what many considered his best season and not making an All NBA team because his team was a disaster was a wake up call for him.

Shots per 36 minutes in Denver: 19.1

Shots per 36 minutes in New York: 20.3

I don't think his Knicks teammates had that much of an influence on how often he shot the ball.

  5. How would any of these guys fare in TNA?  Would TNA even consider bringing any of them in, given their new initiative of going with cheaper talent?

Does Taryn Terrell (who went off TV after becoming pregnant and who gave birth a few months ago) cause problems if TNA wanted to pick up Drew McIntyre?

Would Brodus Clay make more sense as a guy aligned with TNA or as a masked member of the Menagerie?

Will Evan Bourne or Yoshi Tatsu show up as a random participant in a multi-way X Division title match?

Is Teddy Long the guy they would be most interested in, since they love authority figures?

  6. The Cena angle I wanted to see was Cena winning the MITB briefcase while an injured Daniel Bryan was champ and Bray Wyatt cackling that Cena would prove Wyatt right by opportunistically cashing in the briefcase, with a bunch of Cena/Bryan/other vs Wyatts matches.  Cena would steadfastly refuse to cash it in and once again give his opponent (probably whoever beats Bryan) advance notice that he was cashing it in, successfully this time.

  7. Yeah, I don't get the bitching about Cena being the partner.

Totally easy to get. Some people are crybabies who want Cena off their TV completely because they don't understand what good wrestling looks like.

  8. Since podcasts go here, I figure this goes here, too.

My current watching obsession is the Kids/Teens/etc React Youtube series by the Fine Brothers.  I'm about a third of the way through watching all React episodes.  Watching that has led to me sticking Epic Rap Battles of History in my queue of things to watch.  I have no interest in watching someone like PewDiePie, however.

What regular Youtube shows are you watching?

  9. The reporter is Bobby Ramos. He's become quite the sensation on my Twitter feed tonight. He hosts something called Bobby Ramos' Bottomline! There's a picture of him with former NFL QB/Republican Jack Kemp on his Facebook. The caption: The late ,great football player and runner for President,Jack Kemp

His personal website has had its bandwidth exceeded, but I found this in the cached version:

Bobby created and presented an anti-wrestling program “Wrestle with This!” to educated and inform parents and students about the danger of this type media.  This program resulted in the Board of Education banning the wearing of WWF clothing in school, as well as using the WWF slang or vulgar signs.

  10. 6) Two dudes in t-shirts and jeans and carrying titles are in the back and MVP walks back and they have an issue. I now know that one is named Edwards and the other is something else and they're the tag champs. They don't like MVP being a puppet master and MVP makes a match between the tag champions to put them in their place.

    7) Some person screaming "I WANT BEER!" laughs. Tenay introduces him as Mr. Anderson and "What is he up to?" Taz says he can't wait to find out. So what did he do before? Now the tag champions whose names I don't know (I assume they're The American Wolves since they had on Wolf T-Shirts and I think I know their names. But I watch zero indie wrestling these days. I know I saw them against The Ascension but I can't remember what they look like.) are in the ring.

You gave yourself away as being a pure gimmick poster because no one can be on this board as much as you and not have absorbed the various memes about Davey Richards.

Is there something ironic about you being a poster who likes shoehorning his favorite spots into a post and working his formula to death being the guy to no-sell Davey Richards?

  11. When in doubt, stay the fuck away from Impact.

I like Impact.  I'm sure they will disappoint me by refusing to put Dixie Carter through a table when that is the logical resolution.  I'm okay with MVP doing the deed instead of Bully Ray, but they need to do it to her at some point.

  12. Maybe my desire to see a newer face on top outweighs all of this "paper champion" talk, but if Seth Rollins ends up as WWE WHC, I'd be perfectly fine with it. I didn't think Rock was ready in '98 or Foley or HHH in '99, but obviously time proved me wrong on those-- I'd love that element of surprise again. Orton and Cena held them too recently, and as great as Kane has been in his Authority role and with the Team Hell No stuff before it, I really have no desire to see him as champ. I'm not a huge Sheamus guy, and I'm still holding out hope that my Cesaro/Sheamus/Barrett "Team Europe" stable will come to fruition., so in my guesstimation, he's out. Plus, I think having a guy on his level as US champ is great for the status of the title amongst the average viewer. Until Bryan can go, I think they should shock the shit out of everyone and go with a Rollins or hell, even Wyatt. Sure, some may say he's not ready, but he just had a long, arduous (to watch..) program with Cena-- if the average fan isn't going to buy Wyatt now, when will they?

What about Brock? Sure, he's a part timer, but he's hot off the 'Taker win, and in my opinion, I think it does a lot to raise the profile and mystique of the title when the champion isn't on TV every week. I was probably in the minority, but I thought it was fantastic when the Rock had it between RR and WM last year for that very reason. Plus, it might do a whole lot of good for the the IC and US titles to have them contested in the TV/PPV main events on a more regular basis, as some were alluding to above with TNA and even UFC.

Damien Sandow is a newer guy and giving him a role as transitional champ would lead to one hell of an entertaining rant from Brian Fowler.

  13. I know storyline wise it will probably be Steph that Bryan hands the belts to, but I think it would make more sense and show more importance if Vince was the one to whom he handed the belts

He doesn't have to hand the physical belt to anyone to be stripped of the title.  If he does, the correct way to do it (which they won't allow) is for him to hit her with it and drop the belt on her prone body while the crowd chants yes.
