  1. Fitzpatrick will stumble his way to the HOF in spite of himself.
  2. I'm dumbstruck with the news of Flint's death. The Day Is My Enemy has stayed in my rotation since release and was such a great comeback for them.
  3. Gotta give the Pats owner, whose name I will not type, credit for being old-school.
  4. I've played 3 or 4 games of Tetris 99 so far. Three finishes in the 40s with me just trying to play Tetris. I'm sure once I figure out how to play I'll at least be competitive.
  5. I hear a lot of Fortnite hate from Gamestop employees and I enjoy triggering them with mentions. Gotta love the gatekeepers.
  6. I would probably still be playing that game if I hadn't lost all my progression. Google play showed all my trophies, but their help staff couldn't fix it for me.
  7. I thought Fortnite had color coded pickups according to rarity. Am I wrong?
  8. Watched that flick last night and was pleasantly surprised. I am not familiar with the source graphic novel, but being a fan of Mads I overlooked a lot of the film's holes and cheesiness. The violence and gunplay was OTT, that didn't bother me me. Lucas and Mikkelsen played off each other so well. Looked on YouTube and saw that most reviews were negative, but my wife and I enjoyed the flick.
  9. So I downloaded Langrisser for my Fire tablet and absolutely love it (so far). I'm only a few levels in but the turn-based combat is quick and animated very well. I wish I could say the same for Onigiri on the Switch. This is the clunkiest game I've played on the Switch. Since it is a MMORPG there are probably tons of people playing and the lobby is so slow. I'm going to try and stick it out and see if they can patch it to a playable level. Picked up King's Quest Collector's Edition for PS4 and instead of adding to the backlog I fired it up to see how it played compared to the older games. And I must say it stands up nicely. It runs so smooth and the voice acting led by Christopher Lloyd is top notch. Also picked up Raiden V for PS4. Now bullet hell is not my favorite genre, but this game is a blast. My only gripe so far is they cover up a good portion of the screen with dialog and simulated cockpit controls that add NOTHING. There is a storyline, but it is hard to follow at times because of the carnage going on. I tried to catch up on story by reading some of the displayed dialog, but quickly realized the level had moved on and I was being shot up.
  10. I thought there was no way What We Do in the Shadows could work as a series, but after seeing the trailer I'm stoked. Love that they cast Matt Berry.
  11. I know I feel burned. j/k Have Apex Legends downloaded on PS4, but haven't had time to start it up. Maybe a DVDVR scrum tonight?
  12. Any game with Ernest P. Worrell would be a day one buy from me. ANY GAME!
  13. Damn, cancer takes another one. Although he didn't have the largest discography, the quality was always there. R.I.P.
  14. Watch it. You can't rely on message board bullshit no matter how much you respect/hate the posters. I found Hereditary interesting, but it is a polarizing film.
  15. That it has lasted this long is a minor miracle. I mean be honest, how many of us here still read paper magazines?
  16. This version could go in the Misunderstood songs post on this very forum.
  17. I can only suspend my disbelief for so long and it went over the line. I would be pleased if I could find a GPS that would allow me to drive with no windows cleared like they did in the film, because mine is like a couple of seconds off and I would wind up in a ditch/wall/river. It should be seen, but it's nowhere near as epic as the hype made it out to be. Much like The Haunting of Hill House, but that's another story.
  18. I await your next series of religious studies entitled "What's Up With This God Fellow, Anyway".
  19. Watched Bird Box (2018) over the weekend. The first 15 or so minutes were reminiscent of the Dawn of the Dead reboot. But as soon as the group get holed up, I was ready for a volcano to open up and end our misery. Gary was spotted coming down Broadway, and I was on the verge of cutting this film some slack when the drawings came out, but they whiffed on the follow through. I have no qualms with any performance as they were all good, but the story was the letdown. 5.5/10
  20. A classic. The film was such Americanized dreck. Picked up the BluRay Remaster of this for the holidays. Haven't busted it out, yet.
