  1. Zach Calzada to Auburn. That’s an interesting one, assuming he actually sees any playing time.
  2. Yeah, pretty grossed out by that hire, if it goes through.
  3. A&M has to be up there too. I count ten QB transfers out and three in over the last decade. That’s having a four year starter during that period. The list includes one transfer each way with OU. Lost Kyler Murray, got Trevor Knight. Oops.
  4. Guess the whole south was in the same boat. We had 85 and humid as hell Saturday afternoon. Sweated clean through a pair of leather gloves working in the yard. Then Saturday night we got a freeze hard enough to kill some plants we left out.
  5. And that doesn’t even count my Aggies jobbing to omicron
  6. I really do enjoy the way Los Santos feels when it’s snowing.
  7. Apparently Bost is one of the covid cases. So the next QB option was an injured WR running the option. Ags probably didn't try too hard to make this game happen after Bost came up positive.
  8. Weird. I played it heavily from launch, and didn't really have any complaints that I can remember. Only thing I remember really hating was Maurice's stupid flying skulls, and they added an option to get rid of those. I'm kinda curious how much it's changed since I haven't really touched it this year.
  9. Sadly the Blake Bost as QB1 era ends for the Texas Aggies. I'd like to say I'm surprised that the Ags are the first team to have this happen, but I'm trying to teach my six year old the value of honesty. So yeah, I'm not even remotely surprised.
  10. I’ve been struggling to get a booster this week. Earliest I could find is next Monday. Tried talking my wife into this but no go.
  11. He's just very, very delusional. He's not a dumb man either - has two physics degrees. But he's better at sticking his head in the sand than anybody I've ever met. He was the same way when she was going through chemo, and they treat her diabetes the same as well. She had the stroke as they were sitting down to lunch. I beat the ambulance over, primarily because I had to tell him to call the damn thing. Lunch was fried chicken and french fries, nothing else. Healthy meal for a diabetic. He'll be lost without her, if she goes first. My mother in law gave me an inventory of every gun in the house and orders to physically remove them myself if things get critical, so he doesn't do something to himself.
  12. My wife is having this same fight for hours a day, every day. Mother in law had a stroke two weeks ago. She's doing fairly well physically, but is about half coherent. Meanwhile my father in law has got his head all the way up his ass pretending things are back to normal (normal for them is sitting in their chairs for 12 hours a day watching Fox News, interrupted only by high fat/high salt meals). He's complaining constantly that my wife is pushing too much for things like physical therapy, speech therapy, etc, which is exactly what the doctors said she needed to be doing. Today they decided the would not do therapy because they had to laundry. Instead of understanding what meds she needed to start as soon as she got home, he said the paperwork was too much, and he'd get to it after the new year. They've also added a different type of denial. Said the usual family Christmas (we all live in the same city) was too much this year, and they'd wait till next year to attend. My wife and I pointed out the time they said they 45 minute drive to my uncle's for Thanksgiving was too much work, and that they'd see him next year. Told em at the time there wouldn't be a next year, and unfortunately we were right. Still not sure they got the point.
  13. Texas QB Casey Thompson to the portal. No shock there.
  14. So if your starting QB gets knocked out for the season in the first quarter of your second game, and your backup beats Alabama but loses to a bunch of mediocre teams then transfers before your bowl game, and you move your third string QB to TE, so you're left with a walk-on true freshman with 18 total passing yards and then your artificial conference created rival's QB who beat you on a last second TD in your last regular season game transfers to you, he gets to play in said bowl game, right? Asking for a friend.
  15. I haven't tried it out yet. Meant to last night, but it makes you go into a public session to do the missions. So that meant meant melraz and I had to go into a public for the first time in months. Then a crew of four decided to go after me in that new armored Rolls Royce SUV thing. And a bunch of other dots followed em. An hour later everybody else had run away, both of our dots were bright red, and it was time for old guys to log off and get some sleep. Maybe tonight.
  16. Red McCombs is probably screaming in the Texas AD's ear right now, ordering him to dump Sarkisian and give Urban $150M. It won't happen, especially with Sarkisian doing ridiculously well recruiting, but I'm absolutely sure that's what McCombs and his buddies want.
  17. I’m curious what exactly Texas’ RB coach does on a daily basis. I figure his to do list is something like this: - tell Bijan Robinson ‘you do you’ - eat a snack - nap
  18. Well, Johnson's brother just signed with A&M, so he might not be far behind. If he does, get ready for endless reminders of the last time he was on the field with the Ags, I'd guess.
  19. I'd take Johnson just for the irony.
  20. I saw you were playing online a couple days ago. That alone might count as overuse at this point.
  21. I'm kinda surprised A&M doesn't seem to be trying to grab somebody. The current QB situation consists of: - a redshirt freshman who has thrown a total of 24 passes, looked fairly unimpressive in his only full game (against an awful defense), and then got his leg mangled - a freshman walkon who has thrown seven passes - a freshman who got moved to tight end - an incoming recruit who should enroll in January. Highly rated, but that doesn't always mean much, especially at QB.
  22. Somehow it didn’t occur to me that Calzada hitting the portal means A&M goes into the bowl game without a healthy scholarship quarterback. Gonna be interesting. Maybe we’ll run the wishbone?
  23. Zach Calzada is in the portal now. So if you're looking for a QB that can beat Alabama, but isn't actually very good, then there you go.
