"Mark Davis is the powerhouse of the team" Immediately followed by him gently rubbing his forearms across Pac's face. Also for a balls to the wall spotfest, we sure had long sections of Pac balancing himself on the top rope, making faces while everyone stood around

I am sure if you asked Meltzer he would say that the third best match on a New Japan show is better then Dundee vs. Lawler Loser Leaves Town

It really is one of the coolest things ever -
Dempsey is the obvious one, so many different stories to tell with him. Regal as a proud father and dissension between Dempsey and Wheeler. Regal as the Great Santini, abusing and tormenting Charlie until he stands up to him. That JAS story AxB suggested. Demspey is also amazingly good for having so few matches, his A-Kid rounds match from NXT UK was one of my favorite matches of the year, I wrote a bunch about it for the Ringer https://www.theringer.com/wwe/2022/5/31/23148499/double-or-nothing-anarchy-in-the-arena-cm-punk-adam-page-becky-lynch-asuka-best-matches

He is also one of the greatest brawlers of the 21st century, he made Way of the Blade twice, and could have made it a couple of more times. Watch his performances in this War Games, incredible stuff -

There are actually two Finlay vs. Callihan matches, one from EVOLVE which was Finlay's first match back and I was live at and one from WXW in Germany. -
This is Garcia's first singles win in AEW outside of Dark and Elevation.

I didn't my random rule was that I needed either wire around the ropes or no ropes. Stairway to Hell just had the big pile. I wrote it up in Way of the Blade -

I was kind of playing it by ear a bit, if I found an Lucha/Japan/Indy match I liked more then Darby vs. Brody, I would have made FTR vs. Briscoes the AEW rep, I didn't so I didn't. -
I talked a lot about this in my Ringer piece https://www.theringer.com/2022/7/25/23277743/ftr-briscoes-ii-roh-death-before-dishonor-darby-allin-brody-king-best-pro-wrestling-matches My guess is that this ends up with Nick Khan totally in charge, with an Anoa'i family power play of some kind. I just don't think Jared and Ivanka end up on top of the slippery pole for too long

My sources said Brock left and Goldberg was the back up plan, I assume they worked things out, but I am pretty sure it wasn't a work

That chalk board gimmick was genius. So funny. AEW should totally have Matt Menard lowering down a chalk board with inspirational sayings on it tonight -

Yeah I had the barbedwire cage match on my initial list, but on a rewatch it was pretty mediocre, their really great match was part of the Houston footage and just a regular brawl. I swapped it out for Raven vs. Sandman and I am happy with my decision. -

Dean if you haven't seen Colon vs. Murdoch, you need to watch it, funniest barbed wire match ever. -

Yeah, I think the Terminal Combat gimmick is kind of dumb, but those weapons shots felt like weapons shots Ikeda and Ishikawa would throw to each other -

I usually enjoy Kingston Road stuff, he can sell so well that he can normally make the overkill work, this was a bridge to far for me though. *whispers* I think Takeshita might suck?* whisper off* -
I think you could have the BCC on both shows pretty easily. Danielson and Moxley are the two main guys anyway, and you could do something where they want to hold all the titles
