  1. So Netflix is even giving bad stuff 5 seasons now?
  2. So, before one becomes (depending on continuity) The most badass and selfless biggest damn hero in the universe/second most ineffectual floundering leader whose hubris destroys several planets and the other becomes (depending on continuity) the most tunnel visioned guy who enables the universe's greatest monsters, and may be one himself, to do their worst/a misunderstood and misintnetioned guy that'll realize the folly of his ways and turn good and possibly heroically sacrifice himself a million years later, they'll both be best buddies in an action comedy that shows the true meaning of friendship, before a disagreement on how to run the planet they just saved turns it into a wastland after a civil war that lasts millions of years and costs billions of lives. I'm thinking the tone is off, but hey, it's animated Transformers so FUCK YEAH!
  3. I think Flair is using either 18 or 21 now, because really, no one fucking knows what the real number is (because most of those are with a belt currently owned by Billy Corgan and, yeah.)
  4. With Sterling retiring, the position of "make ricidulous PBP calls on Yankees Broadcasts" is open and Rucco and Flash don't have the longevity yet.
  5. Quick check of WWE's site has Cody listed as Universal Champ, but they slickly reverted the Universal Belt back to the Blue one, so I'm guessing it's going the way of Brand Split v1's World Title and getting retired. The Cody's WWE Title is the eventual unification of the WCW, World v1, and Universal, but as is usually done with Unifications that end up being permanent in the US, one of the belts lineage just stops (in this case, of course it was going to be the WCW, World v1, and now Uni, because they're not gonna stop the lineage of the WWE belt). Although way back after Split v1, when they unified the Tag belts, they retired THE WWE tag belts, not the other ones they started for SmackDown, so the, uh... I think current RAW belts only date back to 2010 or so. To be fair, the WWE lineage still isn't as complicated as the NWA belt.
  6. So, Roman unified the belts because Vince was in a "Double Champ" obsession. The Networks want a "World" champ, so the World Title was necessary as the Shows are separate brands that in theory aren't supposed to interact outside of Mania season (and occasionally Survivor Series). Cody has THE belt, that dates all the way back to Buddy Rodgers and Bruno. Noticible that they've stopped calling it the "Universal" title and back to just "WWE". Haven't seen if they "retired" the Universal Title yet or still have the Uni and WWE running concurrently.
  7. Its been coming, he's only called 2 series this season so far. It's been weird not hearing him call games anymore, but I'm sure we'll get used to it.
  8. 20 years ago I'd take a shot. Now, I can hear my aneurysm bursting after just one bite.
  9. Wait! Umino actually won a match????
  10. The connection has always been there. Rock has a story about how he calls Haku "Uncle" and how Haku lent him his gear for Rock's original tryout match. Years later as a thank you, Rock bought Haku his dream truck. Tama's Bloodline, but will be loyal to The Rock.
  11. Announcements coming out today that the next season of Lower Decks, the 5th, will be it's last. Also, Strange New Worlds is already renewed for Season 4 (even though Season 3 isn't coming out til next year).
  12. Nikita straight up looks like a dude I went to High School and was on the wrestling team with. Just with more hair.
  13. So, just paid attention to the League 2 table.. Wrexham wants to keep this show going, don't they?
  14. Give it a couple more Punk/Hunter podcast appearances.
  15. Yeah, I'm pretty sure PD at WFAN is not a job that many people will want. There's a reason Eskin lasted 2 years and is going back to Drive time.
  16. Dear Tony, If you're gonna send guys out there to die with the "We wrestle" rah rah promos, then actually just fucking let the guys wrestle and not act like it's the 90's.
  17. Nothing says "AEW, where we wrestle and let our wrestling do the talking" then blowing 20 minutes of precious TV time completly dropping an Artic Cyclone on your crowd airing out your Little Bro energy on someone who doesn't work there anymore and running out the same 20 year old joke in response to something that may not have even been directed at you. It's so fucking frustrating to watch another company that has ridiculous amount of talent and shows ability to do something with it just fall into the "we have to keep taking shots". You're not Heyman, he's literally the one person that ever pulled it off with any success, and guess what he ended up doing?
  18. National Conservative media wasn't a thing yet in 86 because the fairness doctrine was still a thing til 87. In 86 Rush was still getting fired from Top 40 stations because no PD could tolerate him for longer than a month.
  19. You've never had Shrimp and grits, then.
  20. Roman was Taker's last Mania loss.
  21. That end was Dusty/Heyman Pro Wrestling 101 and it was fucking amazing.
  22. I'm wondering g what benefit at all wasting 15 minutes of TV time will provide? No one watching is going to change their minds about anyone involved, it's not gonna get Punk fired, you can't actually pay it off. Just makes Tony and the Bucks look more fragile. Put it on a podcast or YouTube, don't waste airtime you already have not enough of on it.
