  1. I really want to see someone do their Hall of Fame speech while wearing a fanny pack.
  2. Steiner had his moments as BPP; the Goldberg match at Fall Brawl 2000 was shockingly good. He had great chemistry with Goldberg. I remember a match they had on Nitro that was pretty awesome. It ended with a Nash run-in but it was a fantastic power match before the run-in.
  3. I've only been posting for about a year and I feel like I've built up a lot of goodwill but...will I lose it all if I say I'm a Mongo fan and thought he was a great Horseman? And I say that as a guy who grew up watching JCP and rooting for the Horsemen to break Dusty's arm. I thought Mongo fit in pretty well b/c he was a dude who liked to party, was clearly motivated by money and that Flair and Arn thought that they could mold into a Horseman b/c of his athletic skills. Plus he hates it when someone just stands there drinkin coffee when a man's talkin to em.
  4. I agree. I don't think the problem is Cole or JBL but the fact that they're having to deal with Vince or whoever in the back screaming in their ear all the time.
  5. Flair, Hogan, Foley, and Andre are probably cheating so I'll say end of the road Kobashi was really sad to me. Yokozuna too once he really ballooned up in weight. I thought Hennig really phoned it in when he was in WCW. Aside from the Rap is Crap stuff and Perfect-Plexing The Giant, he didn't do much of anything in-ring. He had a brief resurgence in WWE but that was about it.
  6. Well that's the worst news I've heard all day. I thought the jaw thing was cosmetic and that he could at least talk. Bummer.
  7. I would totally listen to Heenan doing commentary over old matches on the Network or giving thoughts on dvd documentaries. That's something he could do off-camera if he can still speak.
  8. Luger's "Sophie's Choice" moment at the end of this was great. Do you win the world title that you've wanted forever or do you save your friend? Also, him Hulking Up after Sting slapped him was an awesome moment.
  9. I don't think it was planned for Mayweather to bust his nose like that. JR said something like the only time he'd ever seen Big Show that pissed backstage was when catering was late.
  10. What about the Toothless Aggression Era?
  11. It was so weird to hear the announcers back then pronounce Duggan as "Doogan".
  12. I was there too with my fiancee and her kids. I got the Yes towel and a sheep mask.
  13. I've finished the main quest and all but two of the side ones. The one I'm going to start when I get home is the alien one. I started the Aiding the Outcasts one but it was pretty boring in my opinion so I'm likely going to skip it.
  14. I know it got really shitty reviews but I still play the hell out of The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct.
  15. According to wikipedia Bugsy McGraw was born in 1945 so he was 45 at this ppv.
  16. I will always maintain that Lee Carvallo's Putting Challenge is better than Bonestorm.

    Justified

I'd rather have a beer with Dewey Crow and Dickie. No way in hell you're not picking up the tab but you're sure as shit going to be entertained.
  18. Even so, he won cleanly. I find it funny that Flair used to cheat his ass off a ton but most of his pre-1995 or so title wins were pretty clean.
  19. I posted my Boogie Woogie Man t-shirt earlier and people always think it's cool when I wear it out.
  20. I've heard a few people take credit for inventing entrance music but isn't it pretty well established that Gorgeous George was the first as he was coming out to Pomp and Circumstance in the 50's?
  21. I was pleasantly surprised with Doctor Sleep. King's recent short story anthologies have been quality, but I'd all but given up on his novels (especially after how horrid 11/23/62 was) but this was a solid read. I agree with the unimposing antagonists and that's something that a lot of his recent output has had in common - at no point do the protagonists seem to be in any -serious- danger. Very good points. I thought it was a solid novel but King built the little girl and Torrance up so much that the True Knot didn't seem like they'd be any trouble for them. Plus he weakened the True Knot a ton before the final showdown even happened. He's had that problem for a while in my opinion where he makes the protagonist almost invincible and the villain just seems like a minor annoyance. Take the final Dark Tower novel for instance. When Roland goes against the Crimson King it was like a Road Warriors squash match.
  22. None of the Benoit matches have markers from what I can tell. Even when he's in a multi-man match they don't put a marker. For instance, Uncensored 97 doesn't have a marker and I don't think any of the Rumbles he was in has one either.
