This is gonna be a great time for anyone who liked any of the Fox Marvel movies. I love Owen Wilson in Loki, but Matthew Macfadyen is such a level up type casting for the TVA agent that’ll be along for the ride with Wade & Logan. Oh my god, sign me up.

I’m pretty sure Rock was pissed because Cody said Roman’s grandfather (Amituana‘i) and Rock’s grandfather (Peter Maivia) would be disappointed in them both. But Cody slipped and made it sound like he was saying they would ONLY be disappointed in Rock. Cody insulted both.

I mean, their sister company is the UFC. It’s what I was trying to say in the Vince legal issues thread - ain’t nobody asking questions at this thing, it’s not that kind of press conference. They’ve done this before - but more straightforward - with WrestleMania 30. It worked better here, because all I remember from that one is Daniel Bryan trying to do a yes chant infront of the media and it bombed.

I think the key difference here is that the Bloodline is still (somehow) over as an act, whereas nobody cared about the Authority shit.

Alvarez’s idea of Two Man Bloodline versus Cody & Seth on Night 1, with Cody/Roman and Seth/EC winner on Night 2, is the best option as of right now. You could also run that tag at Elimination Chamber in Perth as a “get your feet wet” type thing for Rock. If I was him, I wouldn’t want my first match back after 11 years to be at Mania. I’d want a little warmup first. I could also see a real possibility of Rock/Roman happening Night 1, Rock loses, and Night 2 he helps Roman retain because he acknowledges him or whatever. And then continue on with the story of him being on the TKO board and using his pull to help Roman out when he can.

Sure seems like the next evolution of this Bloodline stuff is to run with the idea of a two man power trip. Also I’m absolutely lol’ing at Punk on that panel, talking about fighting bosses and taking out eyes and biting. EDIT: For anyone that didn’t keep watching, Rock interrupted Triple H’s interview backstage and told him to fix this or “he’s fucking fired”. Yeah they’re doing a two man power trip.

I re-activated my GameFly account after like 7 years, and grabbed Robocop and Immortals of Aveum. Haven’t gotten the latter in the mail yet (which is weird, they were shipped the same day) but I got Robocop today and played it for a few hours. It’s significantly better than the Terminator game IMO, and I really liked that game. Shooting punks in the dick will not get old.

As far as TK’s announcement goes, I’ll also accept a women’s Continental Classic type tournament, which heralds the return of Jamie Hayter and the debut of Mercedes. But it’s probably just Mercedes and/or the Boston themed show ala the First Dance.

I’m gonna predict that TK’s big thing is, yeah, the Boston show, but it’ll have a Mercedes Mone vignette attached to it. That’s what the sheets were saying a few weeks ago, that she was filming stuff for AEW. Could be just for her entrance video or whatever, but I think like others have said: they’ve ran that arena before, so you need a little more than just “oh hey MAYBE this woman will be there, buy tickets!” I’m pretty sure that’s the three hour Dynamite/Rampage on the same night, too. So… yeah.

TD Garden show is up on Ticketmaster. Presale is on Saturday at 10am. Feels like tonight will be an announcement of the show + a vignette teasing Mercedes Mone probably.

Smart idea or not, regardless of one’s feelings about them buying up studios - nobody should want Microsoft to pivot away from consoles. That just leaves PlayStation for console only gamers, since Nintendo/Switch pretty much exists in its own world for the most part.

I think it’ll just be confirmation that new Zenimax & Activision stuff will be on PlayStation (and maybe on Switch and run like ass) but there’s also talk about Sea of Thieves being ported to PS5 so who knows. So, I mean, if Microsoft Games Studios is doing it… it’s entirely possible (but I don’t think so personally). I don’t think Microsoft gets out of the console business. There’s probably a significant amount of money that they make from their digital storefront. My prediction is that they might walk back the “Day One on Gamepass” stuff for new first party titles after Hellblade 2 (since they’ve already advertised it being so). And I’m sure they make a decent chunk of change off Gamepass subs, too. It’s not like Microsoft/Xbox is bleeding money, it’s apparently just a realignment of their business strategy since the Series consoles didn’t do as well as they hoped. Trying to beat Sony at this point, to me, is like AEW trying to beat WWE. It’s not gonna happen. Even though there’s this weird thing where non-gamers (usually older) immediately think Xbox when you mention video games. I’ll just say that I’m really happy with my Series X, because they actually continued on with backwards compatibility from two generations ago (three technically but it’s not a huge OG Xbox library). Kind of lame that if you have a disc PS5 you can’t play anything besides 4/5.

A lot of talk online from leakers that Xbox is about to go multi-platform with their first party games, like Starfield after the Shattered Space DLC releases, and possibly Blade & Indiana Jones. It’s already been leaked that Hi-Fi Rush is coming to Switch and PS5. Tom Henderson is one of the people claiming all of this, and Insider Gaming isn’t known for pushing bullshit. The Verge is reporting it, too.
