I think Takeshita is fine. It’s mostly evenly split with the Jericho/Omega stuff, but to have singles (and tag) wins over both inside a few months - and two of his Omega victories were within the same week - I’d argue he’s doing just fine. He’s still presented as being a a crown jewel for Callis, and that’ll only being bolstered once Ospreay officially leaves the group. Hobbs has been drowning for years now, though.

This time? Probably to remind the people who are fantasy booking Dustin to help Cody at WrestleMania that he’s under contract to AEW, and allowing him to appear does nothing for AEW.

First off, the worst stable in AEW history was and will always be the Nightmare Collective. Never forget that it had Brandi in her goth phase, a broken down Awesome Kong, a worthless Luther, and someone who was decent to good on the indies but totally froze when it came to national TV in Melanie Cruise. I’m not prepared to write off the Mercedes stuff yet, unlike a lot of people. They’re clearly building towards something, so I’ll let it simmer. But if she doesn’t wrestle at Dynasty, it’ll feel really weird. Also, does Gunther even use Symphony No. 9 or whatever anymore? I only watch WWE for Punk, so I’m not sure. Either way, does it matter? And as for Ricky Starks.. well, I’m just gonna say it. He kinda sucks.

I’ve never seen a Pat Patterson match, and VERY little Sgt. Slaughter (maybe like one match, from an old WrestleMania against Hogan) so this should be fun. I hope you’re okay with me giving you joshi/women’s matches. It’s what I watch the most of, besides ECW and violent stuff, so… yeah.

wouldn’t be a Marvel show/movie if it didn’t have plot holes and continuity errors. I’m just enjoying it for what it is. I loved Jean versus Madelyne, and seeing Magik/Darkchylde. That shit was dope as all hell.

I don’t hate it honestly. It’s F2P, so naturally will come with (probably) a battle pass, etc and be highly predatory. But I’m a sucker for Marvel games, what can I say? The closed beta is PC only, and they say upon release the first place it’s dropping is Steam, so… who knows. I think they’d be crazy not to release this on consoles personally, but that’s just me.

Marvel is getting a game that’s a third person Overwatch clone, called Rivals, made by NetEase (yikes!). Not sure if it’s a paid or free game, or any details besides the roster, the key art and what the in-game art (not in-game models) look like. But they’ll be showing it all off today. Rumored to be console & PC, but it being NetEase it might be mobile as well. Or just mobile and PC. Who knows.

The Johnny gameplay is either that way because he was an experienced merc and V very much isn’t, or he’s an unreliable narrator and the engram is lying to you about how good he was. There’s also a theory online that Morgan Blackhand is responsible for the Arasaka Tower bombing, not Johnny, but he leaves that detail out because he’s a narcissist. The depressed Cop neighbor, there’s definitely an outcome where he lives because I remember talking to him. I think you might get a quest from him too, I can’t remember. But it’s interesting to know that it’s seemingly a time gated, missable thing. PS4 version is likely as stable as it’ll ever get, but believe me - it was ROUGH on launch. It sucks that last gen doesn’t get the (excellent) DLC, though.

The introduction of Collision killed the house shows, and with someone like Ospreay recently talking about one of the reasons he chose AEW over WWE was the schedule, I don’t think you’re gonna get even a limited house show circuit. We need to just face the fact that AEW requiring some people to work once or twice a week is a major selling point, and I doubt they want to jeopardize that just for a ranking system or so someone like Julia Hart can get reps in. If they want to get better, there are ways to do that and AEW allows it. Skye Blue is a perfect example of that. She’s worked almost as many indie shows as she has AEW shows this year so far. I don’t think there was, actually. I seem to remember some HBK and Foley matches later in the 2000s where Edge got color, but that’s about it.

It should be noted that, yeah, every defense so far as been for the “Triple Crown”, but obviously all three have not been explicitly merged since the last few weeks of AEW/ROH shows have shown that Eddie will have to defend the individual titles. I think TK realized that anyone who beats Eddie will have to appear on ROH at least a few times a year and you don’t pay Okada (or, at the time, Danielson, from a few weeks ago) millions of dollars to be on an internet show.

Repeat after me guys, there is no Triple Crown. It’s only that because Eddie has three titles. It’s not a singular championship comprised of multiple titles, like how it was in All Japan. Put anyone in Eddie’s place in the tournament last year, and someone would still win the Continental title. I still think it was a mistake to make that entire tournament for a title in addition to a trophy. It should’ve been a trophy + #1 contender status for the World title.

Oh my, those two episodes were just delightful. This is fantastic. Episode 2 was probably the best one, but the first was great too. That X-Men versus Sentinels & Master Mold fight was awesome, the entire X-Ecutioner at the UN fight scene (Psylocke! Colossus! I love Morph)…. My favorite little bit was Jean going into labor, saying “he’s here” and Wolverine being so dumb and thick and saying, “Who’s here?! Apocalypse???” Hahahaha. Rogue is still my favorite. The impending love triangle between Magneto, her and Gambit will be interesting. That can’t be the end of Storm on this show, surely. That’s crazy if so. I love this so much.

Preorders for the new made to order CM Punk figure from Mattel go live on Friday (only $25!). It’s based off his Survivor Series return outfit (but also has the black Punk logo shirt too) This will go nicely with my Punk shrine. Still need to get some of the other AEW figures, too…
