  1. Glad someone is. Hmph. You like neckbeards and call me drunk so hush up.
  2. Except he's too small to rush the passer as a lineman and too slow to do it as a linebacker, which is why he dropped in the draft to begin with.
  3. I've posted a few times over on the eastasiasoft (developers of Rainbow Moon) forum and they've always been quick to respond. Tossed up a long post yesterday critiquing the game, in particular the terrible world map. They responded pretty quickly with "yep, that's an area we are working on improving in the sequel". Great that they responded so quickly, great that they're addressing my #1 gripe. The screenshots they've posted of Rainbow Skies so far have been spectacular. Am looking forward to it quite a bit. Supposedly coming out in 2014 but I'm hoping it gets pushed into 2015. Gotta leave me time for both new Assassins Creed games, yo.
  4. Yeah, that is a seriously cool move. Way to go, Chip.
  5. Well, I didn't like Mario 64 - AT ALL. Can't really put it in words, to be honest.
  6. It was written during or after his rookie year, back when it looked like he might actually be a good NFL quarterback and not just the "guy who made the NFL change their concussion policies". He had an amazing college career and is a nice enough guy, so why not? I think I paid a buck for it. It's sat on my shelf next to Tebow's autobiography for quite awhile now, LOL.
  7. Had to wait 48 hours to watch it on Gamecenter because it was on national TV or something but... Detroit vs Toronto from Saturday - HOLY COW, what a game! As good and exciting as a 0-0 (through regulation) game can possibly be. Great goaltending on both sides, great skating, the whole nine yards. And the crowd at the Joe was as loud as you'll ever hear it, due in no small part to a large contingent of Leafs fans. Absolutely spectacular game with Zetterberg scoring the game winner with 9.9 seconds left in OT. THAT, my friends, is why I ponied up for Gamecenter this year!
  8. Yeah, the actual numbers mean nothing in football. I mean, most fans can tell you Emmitt is the all-time leading rusher but his actual total? Who knows? Ditto for Rice and his records. But baseball fans all know what 755*, 4256, .367, 511, 73*, 191 and so on mean.
  9. Any early buzz on John Wick? Am thinking about seeing it this weekend...
  10. Have started season five of Parenthood. Much like my earlier comment, I find myself constantly frustrated by the show. There's glimpses of great moments but you get 99 crappy moments for each good one. And, of course, every character is just so dang unlikeable. Or stupid. Or unrealistic. I mean, yeah, I can totally see Adam turning down a $1.25m payday for their business that's been open a couple months just because he enjoys working with his brother so much. Sure thing. [/eyeroll]. And there's squinty, twitchy, never speaks a full sentence or thought, Sarah. I mean, why, yes, it's perfectly intelligent to go away on a weekend job with your boss instead of a weekend wedding with your fiance. Good choice. Hey, while you're at it, make sure to ask your daughter questions about her engagement whose only purpose seem to be to make her question the fiance. Good choice. And, ironically for a show called Parenthood, there's literally not a single good parent on the show. Not one. If they have young kids, they let 'em do whatever the heck they want without consequences. If the kids are older, they either do absolutely no parenting or...let them do whatever the heck they want. Adam and Christina have apparently made the decision that parenting a kid with Asperger's means setting absolutely no boundaries or rules or consequences for anything. The result is a monster of a kid I can't believe anybody can stand to be around for more than 15 seconds. And yet I keep watching. I do find myself longing for the much better parenting and much better relationships found on Friday Night Lights, though.
  11. I just finished reading Colt Mccoy's autobiography a month ago or so. He's such an interesting mix of likable and douchey. Really humble, yet with an ego the size of a continent. Preachy and not always in a good way, yet does a ton of stuff in service to others. Great college career, etc. In a lot of ways, he's the guy that people think Tim Tebow is - positively and negatively.
  12. So finished off the last two top-level enemies in Rainbow Moon. First one was no problem, wiped him out without issue. Second one? Well...yeah. Basically, the enemy is so overpowered that the only possible strategy for success is to use the other enemies in the battle for cover. Surround yourself with lesser enemies that don't do much damage and the big guy won't attack you. But you have to position him right or he'll move into place and attack you. And so you then have to kill the guy off without killing any of the other enemies. It's the most ridiculous, unfair, tedious, annoying boss battle I've ever seen. On my third or fourth try, I finally got the setup right so that the boss couldn't attack my guys. I ended up sacrificing one of my characters because she was doing barely any damage and was just standing there taking damage from other enemies, slowing the whole process down. So I was down to two characters - and one of those two couldn't even hit the main boss! The main boss in his round of attacks would usually do somewhere between 2,000,000 and 3,000,000 points of damage - on characters that have roughly 4,500,000 hit points. So you're constantly trying to heal. And your guys? Well, they do about 8,000 points on the boss. And he's got 10,000,000 hit points. So, yeah, roughly 1200 attacks to take the guy out. The whole thing took me like 3 hours. But I'm such a masochist I started up a new game so I can get the one freaking trophy I got screwed out of. Lord help me, I'm a moron.
  13. Yep, that's the #1 complaint with the first Uncharted. It's ridiculous how much it takes to bring down enemies. And, yes, they did fix it somewhat with the second game.
  14. I really liked this game and kinda regret selling it. There was a website where I'd download a lot of characters and then transfer them over via usb on my PS3. I had Link, Mario, Mega Man, Kratos, etc. And of course, it's pretty fun to create your own character. I've had that game sitting on my pile of stuff to be played for the longest time. I really need to check it out.
  15. At least Peyton doesn't have such a massive ego that he planned ahead of time the celebration he and his WRs would do if he broke the record. Oh, wait, he did. Huge record and all that but, sorry, that kinda makes you a douche, Peyton.
  16. Definitely. The numbers aren't even all that helpful when comparing guys in the same era. There are plenty of people that consider Elway the best quarterback ever. I doubt anyone would come to that conclusion if they were just looking at stats.Namath was a sub-.500 QB who threw a ton more picks than TDs. Even by the loose standards of the era, he was mediocre.
  17. A LOT of guys are better than Broadway Joe. He might be the worst QB in the Hall of Fame. In fact, I'd say he doesn't belong at all.
  18. It's weird, but with you I always think of the Wings first and foremost for whatever reason. Well, the Wings ARE my #1 team.
  19. But we love-hate Fowler. You? We simply don't like. That feeling is mutual.
  20. I love how you all think Fowler is the only Lions fan on this here board. Denard had 127 yards rushing???
  21. You're a girl who likes football - you're OK with us.
