  1. That actually sums up his NFL career perfectly. Honestly, I'll be shocked if he doesn't get cut or traded during the offseason. Unless the powers that be ignore his rookie season that never was, and decide to see if the third time will be the charm. Now the Million Dollar Question is if Da Bears are going to be able to hold on to Vic Fangio. Ian Rapoport says he's staying, but I'm waiting to hear it from Pace or Nagy.
  2. This is Mazikeen, aka Maze (the wife and I are big fans of the show Lucifer).
  3. I hope the Rams aren't the new Cowboys. They have a damn fine season, and then sink back down into the depths of mediocrity.
  4. Exactly what I was thinking. - Naito wins at the Dome. - Omega drops the IWGP U.S. strap sometime in the next couple of months. - Omega wins the New Japan Cup to get a title shot and wins the title from Naito. - Omega defends against Okada, letting their series continue, with a new twist now that Okada is chasing Omega.
  5. They're probably more worried about Myles Garrett getting his wish and sacking Big Ben, than they are about securing home field.
  6. No surprise there. They did the same thing during week 17 last season, where Cleveland almost scored win #2!
  7. My six year old's powers of secrecy are legendary. Here's the hint she gave me for my Christmas gift (which I actually knew about, because I had to place the Amazon order). "It's from Chicago, it has to do with Football, and it's a chair!"
  8. The Packers got shut out last night in Lambeau, and the Bears won their last home game, capping off a season where they were much better than their record showed. Merry Christmas to me!
  9. I have to laugh when I look at my first posts in this thread, where I'm talking about drining Shock Top and Red Stripe. I'm not a beer snob or anything (despite my wife claiming I am, just because I talk about how many fingers of head, and lacing on the glass), but both of those would probably scrape the bottom of the barrel for my beers of choice now. I had the Victory Storm King Imperial Stout the other night, although I don't think stout is an accurate description. With how hoppy that sumbitch was, it ought to be classified as a Black IPA.
  10. The wife's former company got tickets for everyone (and a guest) to see Wicked at the Landmark theater in Syracuse back in March, which was actually the first play that either of us had ever seen (outside of things like school field trips, or school plays). I spent the second act going nuts, because I recognized the guy who played Fiyero, and couldn't place it. On the drive home it hits me, it's Dr. Rhodes on Chicago Med!
  11. It had some issues, but I enjoyed this immensely, and especially appreciated that put a lot more humor into this one. The thing that I really disliked was that killing Snoke (just like killing Han in the last film) should have been the final step into making Kylo Ren into the supreme bad ass villain, a la Vader. But, (just like in the last movie) it's followed up with him more or less getting his ass handed to him, by having Luke outsmart him. I also wish they could have done something with Kylo and Leia being face to face, like they did in the last movie with Han. The opening battle scene with him being hesitant to fire on the ship came off really well, and it would have been nice to see it continue in some form.
  12. During the Packers/Panthers game, Joe Buck said that Rodgers had already told them that he wasn't playing next Sunday if GB is eliminated from contention.
  13. Christmas Vacation is a must for our family. My father in law laughs like it's the first time he's ever seen it, even though we could probably recite it word for word by this point. I always volunteer to work overnights on Christmas Eve, so I can score double time and a half Holiday Pay from 12-7, and nobody ever wants to work that night. So, I pass the time by watching A Christmas Story and posting on DVDVR. My Aunt LOVED Santa Claus the movie. Honestly, the only thing I can recall about it is a scene where a kid chugs a can of Coke and belches.
  14. This is one of the reasons that we moved to the Southwest. I usually wake up to a text from my father, who is still in NY, talking about the low temperatures and the snow. I get to reply that it's sunny and the high is in the 60's. I do the same thing to the sister in Florida. I tell her that it was so cold today that I ALMOST put on pants!
  15. Brady is making Cutler look like Brady!
  16. My best friend is a Patriots fan. After the Steelers/Bengals came, I texted him that they must have been upset that Gronk was getting all the attention.
  17. My father is a TCU fan, and spent all week talking smack to me, about what they were going to do to OU today.
  18. Matt Riddle is actually the one who is all about the "Bro" - so that would actually be for an Elgin/Riddle team.
  19. I always made sure to have a burp cloth, dishrag, or a cloth diaper over my shoulder at all times. And, because my older was very clingy to her mother, I was usually the one dealing with the baby. My sister in law had a damn near meltdown when she got spit up on, because it was her favorite Avenged Sevenfold T-shirt. The wife and I were both like "You're mad at your five month old niece for spitting up?"
  20. My youngest was terrible with spitting up after nursing/bottle. After a few rounds, none of my wife's family would hold her after she ate.
  21. And he's been replaced with Cairo Santos.
  22. I had one of the most not-fun experiences of fatherhood yesterday, having to tell my two girls that our cat died. He'd gotten attacked by my in-laws dog the night before, seemingly at random, because they'd been together for almost a week and never had any problems. But, out of nowhere he just charged him in the bushes got his teeth in and wouldn't get let go. My older one is OK, but my little one was beside herself crying that she wanted him to come back. The wife and I talked about it, and decided that we might get another one later on, after our current dog goes. He's very pet aggressive except for my in-law's dogs and the cat, all of whom he'd been around since he was a puppy.
  23. The Bears are almost looking like a real team. They just need to get Trubisky some good targets that aren't named Zach Miller.
  24. Can someone clue in Chicago's offensive play caller on the concept of a play action pass?
  25. So, if this lightning doesn't let up, will they just call the game off and reschedule it? Or consider the current score, the final score?
