    Post Direct thoughts:

     

    1. Star Fox is not gonna win any graphics awards, but is looking sharper than it did before. They better allow us to use regular controls though.

     

    2. That Lost Reavers game looks interesting.

     

    3. I had no idea the Olympics were this year until they showed that Mario & Sonic game.

     

    4. PAPER MOTHERFUCKIN' MARIO!!!!!!!!

     

    5. Kirby x Titanfall

     

    6. Their sale of that Metroid game reeked of desperation to me.

    Marvel Comics Omnibus thread

    In my post Deadpool watchin' euphoria, I decided to sign up for a Marvel Unlimited sub and start reading through his stuff again. In the last two weeks or so, I've burned through the first two limited series, the '97 solo book, Agent X, and the first 12-13 issues of Cable and Deadpool.

     

    I didn't hate the Priest run like I remember the first time around. I think at the time, he was just the guy that followed Kelly, so I took it out on him unfairly.

     

    A lot of the later fill-ins annoyed me though, like, "Deadpool can break 4th wall, so we don't have to try."

     

    Mini-Rhino on a keychain was funny, and I'd totally forgotten about it.

     

    So far, Unlimited has had everything without any gaps, hoping that continues.

     

    If you haven't read the most recent run, Duggan and Posehn, I cannot recommend it more. It's my favorite Deadpool run.

    I'm remembering a match with Ace and Chad Collyer where Chad randomly decided to get a mohawk, and some ladies in the crowd loved it.

     

    I remember Chad Collyer in a match just randomly blasting Ace with a Chair behind the refs back and bloodying Ace up good. 

     

     

    I was at that show. It was Punk: The Final Chapter. I have to believe they didn't plan for Ace to bleed THAT match in a random undercard match. It was buckets.

     

     

    How crazy that y'all are talking about this, because I dug up my DVD folder and started going through this period of ROH to see how it holds up.  The undercard is largely awful looking back, but you find some gems like Gibson vs Black Tiger(Romero).

     

    Rocky Romero was so good around that time. He would make my shortlist for most underrated guys in ROH history.
