  1. I missed The Limey on the list. Yeah, Ghost Dog is in great category (see whichever year I picked it for the movie club)
  2. One of the themes for the Criterion Channel in May is 1999, and they have some good films (the straight story, virgin suicides) without actually having some of the great ones (John Malkovich, The Limey, Topsy Turvy). it’s a murderers row of pictures that year.
  3. Are all of these ghost/heaven movies a theme this month? If not, an amazing coincidence. I was going to mention Here Comes Mr Jordan yesterday, in relation to Heaven Can Wait.
  4. I think it was on BTS this week they were saying one reason the WWE hasn’t dome Wembley is they would prob not get a site fee from the host city as they do with Mania and some of the sold shows internationally (Perth, most recently). And with the company on a (real or perceived) hot streak, they likely aren’t going to turn down a North American city willing to pony up the dough to host Mania.
  5. I get asked to translate the page every time I open the thread now.
  6. Some pod this week mentioned they have not announced it yet.
  7. About that fifth Champions League spot .... Also, Madrid gonna Madrid.
  8. One of my favorite interviews came from that feud. Jeannie said that Toni Adams “was born on a shrimp boat.”
  9. I haven’t watched it yet, so I was wondering if she was in it.
  10. Am I remebering right, that Steve Austin adopted the daughter that Jeannie had with Chris Adams?
  11. Bound, but that’s not out yet. is there a Criterion Midnight Run?
  12. I had to look the other day to see when Toni died (2010) so she wouldn’t likely be in any new interviews they showed.
  13. I think some were better know than others. IIRC, the New Zealand ones were known about at the time or soon after, but the Caribbean ones not until later. I seem to recall the Apter mags discussing some of them.
  14. Who had Dortmund v PSG in the “weaker” semi final? not me
  15. It would seem odd for Becky to leave right after they published her book and her husband still there. I could see a mini vacation off TV to freshen her up.
  16. Also RIP Carl Erskine, one of the remaining Brooklyn Dodgers.
  17. One of the things you learn about researching territory wrestling is how flawed many title histories, due to Phantom changes or switches only done in some of the towns in a promotion.
