  1. As awesome as that is check what he put today.
  2. I haven't been paying much attention to NBA recently. But when they put Doc's record so far with them I shook my head in dismay. I'm sure there's time for everybody to get on the same page but they're swimming upstream on the steepest incline. Since I wasn't paying much attention did they find out why exactly the coaching change was needed? Something seemed very off about it from the start.
  3. Not sure if I'm the only one but fuck it it's been forever and I'm watching the OG cartoon from the start. Knowing my viewing habits and attention span who knows if I'll see it all by then but might as well try. Right off the bat I realize how truly special this show was. Watching it as a kid it was 90s colorful awesomeness while kinda realizing I was crushing hard on Storm (don't @ me, I'm sure a lot of us were/are) . Well all that still rings true but I kind of hate that I didn't watch this until now as an adult. Five episodes in so far and it's super apparent how much this hits different which I fucking love.
  4. I have a CRT TV that I've been looking to hook up for NES/SNES/etc systems and I believe there's adapters to get current TV/streaming stuff to work on there. So I'm hoping to have everything setup by March 20 because if so then I'll be back on that CRT watching this. It would just feel right to me. If not then I guess 4K TV will do but why not try going full nostalgia. Either way I'm super hyped for this.
  5. I think at this point in their careers this is the way to go for the Bucks. They have done variations of this type of match for so long even when they were heels that they have go like this for it to mean something. So I hope a rewatch does you well. As for Taven I'm not a fan of his but it's also not surprising to me seeing him go all out. When he started with ROH he had this Pauly Shore look that was all he was known for. He had a match with the guy FKA Mikey from Spirit Squad (name escapes me) that was on the surface a nothing match. But at some point Taven went fucking nuts and had one helluva match. I think it was not long after that he got away from the Pauly Shore look and started to come up so not sure if the match was the catalyst for it or not. But the tl;dr is Taven's willing to step up when it counts and I appreciated what he did last night. Oh, and holy cow did Orange bleed. He rarely does it but when he does it's awesome.
  6. Out of curiosity considering your views on them how did you like the match itself?
  7. I love the behind the scenes thoughts for the title on the Discord. Though you are right about us wanting to watch Dynamite on Valentine's Day. We did the dinner on Saturday so aside from a card and chocolates we're just chilling today. I do think with Ruby walking out on Saraya that she finally does something with Angelo to indicate they're an item. The story got a tad messy but I really loved what they've been doing with them liking each other and Saraya trying everything to ruin it. If there's ever a day to pay it off today would be it.
  8. I'll be honest I wasn't sure if that was real or fake with the trying to bring Scurll bit either. I just figured it's bad enough she's married to him but I try to overlook that when she's on TV. But FWIW Queen Aminata did a thing with Renee on their channel where she talked about having a string of seizures and AEW couldn't clear for her 6 months. Which sounds awful especially when things seem to be going well before that happens. It sucks that he felt he had to stop the podcast but I thought it was really awesome for Dax to be so open to people he doesn't know about his struggles. Dude forever is one I have a soft spot for. I will say though that aside from a 30 second bit when on a live mic Dax isn't the best talker. So to compensate he goes to topics that he's really passionate about which is great. But he could stand to add other things to round it out.
  9. I thought Nigel was better in current ROH before he transitioned over to Collision. He wasn't leaning as hard into the heelish stuff and it felt smoother. But even as is I'm not ashamed to say that I like him on commentary. Even if there's things that don't work I'm here for the stuff that does. As for heels on commentary Matt Menard is right there and is wonderful. I know he's softened up since Garcia's a face now but Menard's great at being a heel on commentary yet has wiggle room for a face or unknown that catches his eye. I love that he commentates during Garcia's matches but I'm really hoping once he hangs it up that he does commentary full time.
  10. I might need to rewatch the episode because thinking about the D'Amore firing it bummed me out when watching it live. I bought the yearly plan for TNA+ since it saved a bit of money but I was left wondering if I regretted my decision. I think they have a good thing going at this time and hope the news doesn't kill their momentum.
  11. It would be a radical change from any NFL OT but I kind of loved XFL's approach to OT. Both teams have a chance to go for a TD from I think the 10 yard line and whoever's first to get it wins. It saves time and also can create drama almost like a PK shootout for soccer. Whether that's actually good for the league or even one bit realistic who knows but I sure loved the idea.
  12. I was rooting for the 49ers the whole game and wished they won. I don't even care for the Chielfs one bit. But when they won I oddly had the biggest smile on my face and this is the reason why. Now for the stuff I actually cared about the commercials were 75% bad and the good ones were good but not quite memorable. The halftime show might not be an all-timer but I was thoroughly entertained by it all yet felt old realizing when a lot of those songs came out. But I like Usher and was thrilled to see the people he had with him.
  13. They have a Saturday night block on Cartoon Network with that name showing anime. So while I now know what you mean it would be fucking wild to see an AEW show of some type on this version of Toonami. And honestly considering the WB tie in why the fuck wouldn't they try this by now.
  14. I'm trying to avoid buying wrestling shirts anymore since I have too many and am trying to give some away. But that is a pretty damn nice one for Ali though I hope there's one that's a bit more evergreen than just one campaigning for a championship.
  15. It felt super weird seeing WWE footage on TNA considering the history but man did I love that piece on Joydynne.
  16. Mox/Hardy wasn't bad though I'm not sure what they're doing with Jeff. No matter what he turns into I don't think I'll like it but whatever. Aside from that it was a fun setup episode that breezed on by. I'm torn between Page/Toa and the main as my favorite for different reasons. One had Hangman bumping like a freak to make Toa look like a king among men (I think he succeeded) and the other had RVD beating the shit out of poor Swerve. Both wins felt earned due to the beating Page and Swerve took and it helped each cases for being in the top of the rankings. Even if these aren't on MOTYC lists they were still ones that will hold up quite well on rewatch. Also, during commercial for Deonna/Taya Excalibur said "Jeff Harvey" and Tony had his head on the desk losing it. It's worth checking out and I just love how Toni on commentary is an excuse for them to loosen up.
  17. Only reason I'm going for SF is because of Kittle with his Cero Miedo love. Aside from that I'm just hoping for more wacky commercials that don't suck and good halftime show.
  18. Hey, I'm with ya on the positivity for tonight. Hangman/Toa will fucking rule and I think Swerve/RVD will be pretty darn great. I'm not as confident in Mox/Hardy due to Jeffrey but the rest of the show sounds like a breezy good time.
  19. I somehow blanked on them being on commercial break and thought the censors were asleep at the wheel for the first one. But that makes sense. I am curious what a motivated Nemeth outside of WWE can do and first match in I'm digging what he's doing. Maybe it was the Dolph Ziggler name/gimmick that soured on me over time but a fresh start was needed. I'm also a big fan of Mustafa Ali so am happy to see what he brings to the table. I know he had a bunch of ideas that got shot down in WWE so if he can pull off a fraction of that in TNA I think it's gonna be great stuff.
  20. Yeah, man. I saw somebody mention it was Great Value Hard Times and for all the deserved shit Punk gets I just can't in good conscience agree with that. He can be a good guy and I was especially loving when he said "Best in the world are those who are fighting cancer". Whether it's Punk or somebody else I can get behind that.
  21. I thought that's where they were as well. I do think if Deeb's gonna get a belt then it'd would be the TBS for starters. But Julia's great so if/when this happens I'd like it to be a few months down the line.
  22. After finally catching up on the weekend stuff (and now TNA mind you) I just wanted to quickly get this in before the thread closes for tomorrow's new one. Rampage was breezy fun but holy fuck that might be one of my favorite Collisions ever. Top to bottom I was really enjoying each match and in the case of the Danielson/Nagata and the main got really fucking into it. So when Garcia left to cap a really well done trios cage match I was pumping my fist and loudly cheering. Hot damn was all that great. Also, Deeb was super smooth and I'm a big fan of her so for the love of everything can we please get a belt on her ASAP? Thanks.
  23. It sure does. I queued up 2005 Unbreakable for the triple threat with AJ/Joe/Daniels.
  24. Did I mention I fucking love BTDO? If not then yeah I fucking love BTDO.
  25. Yeah, her rematch with Jordynne was her last contracted match with TNA. It only took a couple weeks but I subscribed yearly for TNA+ So I guess I'm back in on the TNA train.
