NOTICIAS There are rumors running rampant on social media about ELITE leaving Arena Mexico and running shows on their own accord at Gimnasio Juan de la Barrera. Again these are just rumors but they have picked up a lot of steam lately. Akebono told Yahoo! Japan that AAA would be bringing over 20 wrestlers for their STAR BATTLE JAPAN show at Korakuen Hall on 10/26. NOTICIAS In the aftermath of Triplemania, AAA announced last night that they were going back to Japan on 10/26 to run a show at Korakuen Hall called "STAR BATTLE JAPAN." The other person to be inducted into the AAA Hall of Fame joining Art Barr was AAA President Joaquin Roldan who seemed shocked that he was going in and it was quite the interesting moment watching this go down. A story to watch out for is the status of Lucha Libre ELITE who had said this week they would be back at Arena Mexico next Sunday but that isn't the case as it is a standard show. ELITE was never said on commentary during the Friday night Arena Mexico show when their regulars were working the show so again something to watch out for. RESULTADOS AAA 8/28 - Arena Ciudad del Distrito Federal (Triplemania) 1. Por la Copa Triplemania: Australian Suicide beat Daga to win the Copa. Order of Elimination: Black Mamba/Pimpinela Escarlata/Argenis (who was the luchador sorpresa)/Hernandez & Taurus/Elegido/Zorro/La Parka Jr. 2. SR - Gran Apache: Averno & Chessman battled Fabi y Mari Apache to a no contest when Ricky Marvin got involved and Gran Apache made the save for his daughters. Marvin was wearing a shirt with OGT on it and gave it to his partners to wear afterwards which they also spelled out in the ring. 3. Cuadrangular de Parejas por el AAA Tag Titles: Aero Star & Drago defeated Los Gueros del Cielo (Angelico y Jack Evans), Garza Jr. (subbing for Fenix) & Hijo del Fantasma, and Matt Cross & Paul London in the best match on the show with Drago pinning London to win the titles. Fenix no-showing this show as well as AAA not announcing it beforehand is the story here. 4. AAA Latin American Title: Johnny Mundo beat Pentagon Jr. to win the title with help from Taya Valkyrie who turned on Pentagon and fouled him. Taya & Mundo then hugged afterwards. 5. Dragon Azteca Jr./Prince Puma/Rey Mysterio Jr. defeated Marty Martinez/Matanza Cueto/Mil Muertes with Rey going over Marty with a Frog Splash. Rey also wore a Perros del Mal tribute jacket and Perrito's boots in honor of his fallen friend. The Lucha Underground guys never got an entrance other than Rey and they were treated as cannon fodder by everyone basically. 6. 3 Way Dance por el AAA Mega Heavyweight Title: Hijo del Texano beat Dr. Wagner Jr. & Brian Cage with Texano going over Cage to retain his title. Team Trump then attacked Texano afterwards and El Mesias (yes out there as himself) posed with the belt. 7. Mascara contra Caballera: Psycho Clown defeated Pagano in a very long match filled with weapons and blood which wa expected. Damian 666 & Nicho el Millionario ran out to help Pagano but Dr. Wagner Jr. ran them off only to turn on Psycho fouling him and giving him a Wagner Driver. Psycho fought back though as he speared Pagano through a flaming table to win. Wagner & Psycho then talked up a mask match for next year's Triplemania which will probably never happen. NOTICIAS During the buildup for the Dragon Lee II/La Mascara match on Informa on Wednesday, the Alvarado family talked about how Brazo de Plata has been out of action with a femur injury and has been trying to lose the proper amount of weight needed for him to have surgery. The doctors have told him that they won't perform surgery until he gets to a certain weight. Maximo Sexy said that there are talks of a benefit show to help pay his medical bills. NOTICIAS Rush told +LuchaTV that he believes that he wasn't booked on the Anniversario Show at Arena Mexico on 9/2 because he was suspended due to bleeding against L.A. Park last month at Arena Mexico for ELITE. Leo Riano in his column for Diario Record stated that "Love Machine" Art Barr will be inducted into the AAA Hall of Fame this year at TripleMania joining his former Los Gringos Locos partner Eddie Guerrero. Riano also mentioned there will be another inductee but that name hasn't been announced yet. NOTICIAS L.A. Park posted on Facebook how he was in severe pain with a knee injury after his match with Rush last Sunday at Arena Coliseo de Monterrey and that the local doctors told him it was serious enough for an operation. Park told them that he wanted to work the next night in Nuevo Laredo knowing that one of the promoters is a doctor so he visited with Dr. Cantu and he told him that he didn't need any operations. Dr. Cantu then gave him some pills along with some injections and Park said that 30 minutes later he was able to walk with no pain and got rid of his crutches. Park said that he was able to get more pills after the show and he has been doing great all week. Claro Sports will not be showing the Friday night Arena Mexico shows for the next 3 weeks because of their Olympics coverage. Leo Riano in his weekly column in Diario Record on Wednesday said that he fully believes that Dragon Lee II vs. La Mascara in a Mascara contra Mascara match will be the main event for the Anniversario show at Arena Mexico on 9/2. We will wait and see. Speaking of Dragon Lee, he will be making his ROH debut on their All Star Extravaganza VIII PPV on 9/30 and will work the TV Tapings on 10/1 both in Lowell, Massachusetts.
